I don't own Code Geass.
...
A boy walked into a dimly lighted room . The room was huge with marble columns at the sides. From the ceiling hand golden chandeliers that used crystals as light bulbs. Through the center of the room spreed out was a long red carpet with golden edges.
The boy wore a white uniform that seamed like a buissnes suit with accents of what seamed to be a medieval europian clothing for nobility, over it he wore a red cloak-cape.
At the opposite end of the room was a large chair in which sat a powerful-looking man. The man had silver hair that were stylized into renaissance-style curls, violet eyes and angular features. He wore a majestic purple robe with golden additions all over it. The mans face was unreadable.
Next to him stood a lemon-haired woman. Her eyes were golden in color and they had what appeared to be slit pupils. She wore a dark red double-breasted jacket with golden buttons, white pants and black knee-high military boots.
When the boy reached the stairs to the mans throne he kneeled on one knee and looked down, not meeting his eyes.
"You called for me, your majesty." Said the boy in a tone that was filled with forced respect."
"Tell me, my son, aren't you angry at me? Be honest with me. " The emperors voice boomed thruout the hall. But the voice strangely didn't have any sub-context of mockery, quite the opposite. His voice was filled with curiosity and what was even stranger...consern.
"Whatever for, father ?" Said the boy maintaining his position on the out side. On the inside...his thoughts were running miles an hour. "Why that tone, what is he doing, why did he send for me."
"Rise yor head, Lelouch." When he did so his father continued. " I stoped your mothers murder investigation, I didn't visit Nunally in hospital and I didn't even let Cornelia do it on her own." He said with a firm tone and a straight face but what betrayed his fillings were his eyes. In them one could see hurt and disgust at himself, but Lelouch couldn't see it because his eyes were still looking down.
"I...I do, but..."Said Lelouch, his voice filled with uncertainty and barely contained rage."
"But?" Asked the emperor.
"But it would be the height of stupidity to say it in your face, and risk mines and more importantly Nunallys safety."He answered, defeated.
The emperor smirked and he turned his gaze at the woman at the side of the throne. The woman had a small smile on her lips and nodded in agreement.
"Come with me, Lelouch."Said Charles as he got up from the throne, the woman falling into step behind him.
When he did as he was told, Lelouch was led behind the throne and to a large door that looked like it was an ancient piece of culture. When they stopped in front of the door the emperor opened it, and they walked inside.
What he saw left him agape and with widened eyes. They stood on a platform that was floating in the sky amongst golden clouds.
But there was one more person there it was...his mother. All kinds of logic thinking was thrown out the window, he jumped at her almost sending them to the ground and embraced her.
What followed was a long explanation of...well...everything. From V.V. to geass and the ragnarock connection. You might wonder how Lelouch took it. Well at first he was shocked and angry but as the explanation was making more and more sense, he started to wonder:
"Maybe I was wrong about my father."
The wierd woman C.C. offered him a contract. He was to get a power of kings on one condition: he was to go with their plan. He thought for a long time but ultimately agreed. When he asked why does he have to go to Japan, his fathers exact words were:
"I may be powerful, but I'm not so reckless and blind to all the dangers we might have to face. From V.V. to even Shnizel, all kinds of people will try to ruin our plans, and it would be better for you and Nunally to be away from here so you can become strong, and at the same time not be on V.V.s hit list. So, I am sending you there to make connections and when the time comes you will build another army and together we will lead the people of this world to a better one. "
And with those words a pact was formed, a pact to better the world.
{7 years later}
Lelouch walked down one of the corridors of Ashford academy, thinking of the progress he had made thru the last seven years of work. He has forged connections, gathered resources and personnel. Of course all this couldn't be accomplished without the help of his father.
When he first was sent here he meet a boy named Suzaku Kururugi, the only son of Japans prime minister. The boy proved to be an excellent knightmare pilot and a grate bodyguard when the rest of the guardsmen were not around.
Speaking of whom, he was sent here with a detachment of royal guards, his personal knight as well as his squire. The guards minds were modified by him and his father to protect him at all costs and be a perfect defense against any kind of threat.
His personal knight, Jeremiah Gottwald, was a former guard at his mothers estate. When he heard that he is to speak with the emperor, he was afraid but when it was reveled to him that he is to protect the son of his mistress he was so happy, that his heart almost gave out. He is the only one of Lelouchs security members, who was fully briefed on the specifics of the mission as well as geass.
Jeremiahs squire, one Viletta Nu was the only britannian member of princes subordinates who nither was brainwashed or fanatically loyal. At first Lelouch was doubtfull abut her seeing as she was only an opportunist, but when Jeremiah assured him, he was willing to gave her a chance. This chance he gave her was not wasted on her, as the time gone by she became loyal to him, not as much as Jeremiah but still she was trustworthy.
The final member of his security, a Japanese woman by the name of Sayoko Shinozaki, was Nunallys last line of defense. She also excelled at stealth, assassination and espionage, but for now she was guarding his little sister. Of course he would use her other skill later in the game.
Lelouch had contacts almost everywhere, from JLF to the highest ranks of britannian social and military ladder. Hell, he even had some spies in The geass order and both China and EU. But the most useful connections for now would be in the six houses of Kyoto. He was able to put two of the six of them under his geass, it wasn't enough to outright vote over any case but for now he would have to satisfy himself in controlling only half of Japanese resistances resources.
But, back to reality. When he was leaving his homeland, his father told him to look for Ruben K. Ashford after the war. When he met Ruben for the first time since they saw each other since they were in Britannian capital, he was lead to a closed room deep within the Ashford mansion he expected a lot of things. But a large factory complex was the last of them. It turned out that the emperor took care of everything. When he was led even deeper he saw all kinds of places one would need to start a 'rebelion'. The underground part of ashford was two or even three times the size of the space above the ground.
The Ashford academy was sponsored by the emperor, not officially of course, as a 'small' thank you to Ruben for keeping his son safe. Despite what you might be thinking the school took in both Britannians and elevens, why would emperor let such a thing happen? Well the truth was that Charles' motto was 'All men are not created equal' but this was only a half of emperors believes. The second part preached 'but all of them can raise above their weaknesses'. So he decided that it would be a great idea to sponsor a school where his son can recruit more personnel.
...
Lelouch walked into the student council room. The only present were Milly, Rubens granddaughter, Shirly, who had a massive crush on him that everyone knew about, and Suzaku, his best friend and under-cover bodyguard. They all happily chatted together when he walked in, this only reminded Lelouch of the word he was trying to create.
"Hi guys" He called out.
"Lelou, I thought that you were gambling with Rivalz again." Exclaimed the oranget.
"No, I was not, I stayed with Nunnaly because she catched a little cold." Responded Lelouch, barely restraining the boredom in his voice. Sure he was leading a 'rebelion' against Britannia, but when you have done everything perfectly it can get a little boring.
"Nunna-chan? Is she all right?" Asked Shirley with concern in her voice.
"Yes, I gave her some medicine and laid her to sleep. She is with Sayako now. " Said Lelouch as he sat in one of the chairs at the table.
They sat there and talked for a bit, when suddenly the TV in the room that was untill now muted drawed everyone's attention. On the screen, the krest of the royal family was displayed, Lelouch quickly took the pilot, and turned the volume up. They sat there listening to Clovis giving a speech about the terrorism in the area eleven was making him 'heart broken'.
After the speech, there was silence in the room. Sudenly Lelouchs phone gave out a sound of a massage. When he took it out, he stared at it for a long time. It was a massage from his father and it read:
"This is a perfect opportunity to reveal your alter ego and gain the approval of the eleven population, take your men and assasinate Clovis. I am sure he will do something like a genocide, that would earn him a death penalty, or at least a disownment from me."
He stared at his phone, reading the message over and over. He didn't like it...But this must be done, for a better future.
"Suzaku...we are leaving." He spoke in a low tone, so only his friend could hear him. Suzaku nodded in affirmation.
"I'm very sorry, but I must be going, it appears that Nunnalys fever is back." He said as he was getting up.
"I'm coming with you." Declared Suzaku also standing up.
When they walked out, Millys expression became unreadable, but inside she was talking to herself:
"So...It's started, huh?"
...
While they were walking to the hidden passage to the underground section of the building, Lelouch sent Jeremiah and Villetta a text telling them to get ready. They walked in silence for a couple of minutes until Suzaku asked a question in a low voice so no one else could hear him:
"What are we doing?"
"We kill Clovis and show ourselves to the world. And while we are at it we can recruit a few members to the Black Knights."
"Rebels?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Ye, maybe we will find someone worth a while"
"Understood."
...
When the elevator arrived in the basement both Lelouch and Suzaku stepped out into a huge empty hangar. Why was it empty? The answer is, this is a front hangar here they would be preparing a large attack force. Seeing as they were going to use only three of their knightmares as well as a small infantry squad it wasn't in use. They walked on the catwalk that was on the side of the hangar.
After letting the electronic door slide aside, they walked into one of the briefing rooms. Inside there were Jeremiah, Viletta and nine other soldiers dressed up in black uniforms with purple visors over their faces, some were attached to berets or caps some were worn with modified bike helmets. When they were spotted the man stood up and snapped to a salute.
"At ease, man." Said Lelouch
When they did as they were told, he continued:
"Listen, we are to go to Shinjuku Ghetto, Assassinate Clovis, and rescue the rebels at the same time. Viletta, you are to lead the rescue party, is that clear?"
"Yes, my lord!"
"Good, Jeremiah, you, I and Suzaku will intercept a knightmare transport and arm the rebels, when we will be done with that we will destroy Cloviss' forces. Later we will board the G-1 and we will assassinate him, Understood?"
"Yes, your highness."
"All right everyone, we are leaving in 15, be ready." Lelouch said, as he and Suzaku left to change their cloths and ready their knightmares.
