Two men are sitting in front of a large screen display and they just watched what could be the most insane thing they have ever seen. The things they normally have to deal with are nuts, but this is so crazy it is almost insane.
In a world with actual monsters who keep their very existence hidden as a means to keep their species alive, against the potential threat of extinction due to humans outnumbering them in terms of population was strange but there were a bunch of insane criminals using genetic manipulation surgeries to create hybrid creatures between humans and animals, therianthropes if you will.
Why would they create these creatures? as a means of defending themselves against the potential threat of monsters deciding to wipe out humans and take over the planet as the dominant species? No these sick crazy is that they are doing it to create powerful creatures so they can use them in fights they can bet on. Gambling is the reason why they went all Island of Doctor Moreau with this.
The thing that Hector could not understand is why did the goddess want to protect this world if they are willing to do that to each other, and turn this into basically unethical and even immoral fights that are basically animals with human intellect or humans with the ability of animals. He is also particularly afraid that their mission will have them be reborn as one of these human/animal hybrids, and knowing how Hiro is he probably is going to end up as a skunk hybrid.
It appears that their evil counterparts are doing what they love doing, causing as much chaos, death, and destruction as possible, the shocking thing is that they somehow learned the flight of the thunder god and multi-shadow clone techniques, but these clones are perfect so that means they can send them on mass to many different universes and worlds at the same time, it was truly a horrible prospect, that two men who want nothing more than to turn all reality into a living hell to be able to do that.
Hiro pretty much figured that somehow they came up with the same gamer powers as theirs and use them to learn them in one of the many universes they went to. For all intents and purposes, the universe that they saw, or at least the Earth in that universe was done for, succeeded in causing a war that caused the death of the entire planet. Hector only was sad that the only reason that they succeeded was that two groups of people were so blind by the bigotry that they didn't see the harm they were causing.
As they finished watching what happened they heard the goddess walk behind them, "As you can see from that, that universe is completely destroyed, so we are going to have to send you back in time and prevent that from happening, and yes Hector I know that these people are doing horrible and cruel things to each other and those animals, but even they didn't deserve to be manipulated and made to cause their own extinction. You hate it so much, they do everything you can to make that place better. I know you can."
"Just don't pull a Zeus on me and trick women into having your kids." He looked at her and told her, that as long as she didn't pull a Hera and try to murder his kids that will not be an issue, to which Hiro asked once again does he really need to hear that sort of talk from either of them now or ever? They told him they often have to hear the complaints and comments by his neglected wife, so what if two married people argue, at least they are doing so in a way to affirm their emotional ties. Hiro flat out said that it was bullshit, it was shameless flirting, and no matter what they call it would not change what it actually is.
Hector was not going to stand for this and told him, "And you would know everything about flirting, you are practically a master at it, considering that you practically invented it. Isn't that right Eros?" Hiro quickly punched his friend in the gut while telling him how many times has he told him not to call him that, to which Hector told him one more since the last time.
Hiro was quick to remind him to stop calling him that, that is his descendant's name, and he didn't need that sort of treatment, and no he never neglected his wife, they are actually divorced, to which Hector was quick to mention that according to the appropriate magistrate the divorce papers have not been signed and registered and until that is done, the divorce is not considered finalized.
Hiro mentioned that they are constantly going to different dimensions trying to save and improve their lives, he hardly had any free time to actually file those papers, if the goddess could help him file those papers would help him a great deal. The goddess hearing this made a decision, Hector you will be sent first, Hiro will have to remain here to help with those divorce papers, once he is done with that he will be sent to the dimension where you are going, you will be taking over the life of a recently deceased young man who is died before being informed that he was accepted to an unknown high school, a place called Yokai Academy.
"So I am to be Tsukune Aono, got it, I will need access to all my abilities, and maybe just maybe a bit of a boost to my physical and mental condition, Tsukune is going face plenty of potentially lethal combat, so I will need this to live long enough for Hector over there to get where I am after he is done with his paperwork."
The goddess smiled and tells him that she was going to do that anyways, but by mentioning the name of the person he is taking over, it means he is sort of familiar with what he should expect, she did however wished him good luck and as he was getting ready to be sent to that dimension this was slightly halted by her grabbing him close and kissing him firmly on his lips, telling him to be careful for her sake.
As he woke up he found himself in the body of a young man in his late teens, the way his room and everything was placed made him realize that indeed he was now Tsukune Aono, he saw several family pictures and several diplomas with his name on them. this room showed that he was very much focused and hard-working in his studies. So it never made any sense at all that he failed the high school entrance exam three times already, it was almost like someone or some people were trying to force him into a particular high school, a high-caliber scheme if you will.
He could think of at least one dark lord that would want to manipulate this to use Tsukune in his plans, he could even think of at least another one but that second one would do so for far more personal reasons. His father probably has the family trusty shotgun hidden somewhere in the house, which is amazing considering Japan makes it illegal to own firearms to anyone outside the police or military.
His father could end up in prison should anyone ever be to live to report the existence of the weapon his father simply calls Sebastian. As Tsukune was still in middle school so he opted to do something that shocked the family more than anything they ever expected, he began to train and study martial arts like he was training to be a professional fighter. So he trained like that till he was so exhausted that he crawled to his bed each and every night.
His mother asked him more than once why was he training like that, and the only replay was that he had to do it to prepare for the future and be able to defend the people he cared about most, "I am not going to let other people push me or the people I care about around, I am training to be able to defend myself and those that I care about, I will protect them from harm and make sure we can live a happy life, believe it!"
To which his sister smacked him over the head and told him to stop doing his corny Naruto impression since he was with his fellow anime fan club member, he decided to try another impression, "Yosh, the flames of youth burn bright inside you indeed my sister. How about a bet if I pass our next class test, you will buy me some Dango, but if I fail to pass, I will walk around our house thirty times using only my thumbs!"
She told him his impression of Might Guy and even Rock Lee was even cornier than the anime, and that is when he decided to pull out his next impression, "Come on sis, don't be like that, we should get along and not pick fights, after all, we need to follow the ideals of love and peace! Come on say it with me, Love and Peace!" That was enough for her and she did her impression of that insurance agent from that anime and screamed no, please make it stop, which made both mother and father laugh.
If it wasn't obvious enough, Tsukune and his family loved anime, they had an entire room dedicated to the family collection of their favorite anime, hundreds if not thousands of DVDs a television with a surround sound system, this room is something an anime Weebo would call heaven on earth. Tsukune was however being honest he trained in martial arts and exercised like that to be able to protect himself and the people he loved.
If there was one bad thing was that he got into more and more fights, it was like a rivaling dojo had declared war on the one he studies in, honestly, he couldn't have one day without some idiot wanting to beat his skull in for no good reason. Till finally, the day came when he needed to travel to the school using a bus owned and used by the school, he couldn't walk to it because apparently the location was secret and it wasn't even on his admission paper
The bus driver was wearing a suit, a bow tie, and a cap of a chauffeur which made him feel awkward, and Tsukune was already feeling pretty awkward since the driver and they were the only people on the entire bus. "so you are going to Yokai Academy, I guess this makes you the new transfer student, I should tell you this bus only comes to the school once per month, and you will have to live in the dorms but don't worry every student has their own rooms. So you got any questions or concerns?"
Tsukune just had to ask something, if during that one day a month the driver could do him the favor of delivering some mail for his folk, "So you will write letters to keep in touch with your folks and not make them worry that is commendable. Sure kid, just comes to the bus stop and give me the mail and I will make sure your folks get it. But I have to tell you that Yokai Academy is a lot different than what you would expect from a normal school, in fact, you might find it quite scary but don't worry I am sure you will get used to it in no time at all, especially if you have friends."
They both talked about their hobbies and things about the school, it wasn't that strange from what he told him the school felt like what you would expect from a normal high school, there was a bit of strangeness when they were driving and some reason he felt a strange tingle on the back of his neck at one point, but Tsukune just thought that was just him being nervous.
As the bus finally came out of this dark tunnel that seemed to go for miles Tsukune saw that the sky was a different color it must mean that it was later than he first thought, and as he got off the bus he thanked the driver and for actually agreeing to help him with the letters he was going to send back home, to which the driver simply laughed and told him it was nothing, as he drove off laughing for some strange reason.
The school definitely had an entire Halloween feel to it, the forest that led to the school was all dead-looking trees and he could be wrong but he could have sworn that he saw several tombstones as he walked towards the school. If anything the one thing that was bothering him was this strange squeaking noise that seem to come out of nowhere, he stopped and finally decided to look where the hell the noise was coming from, and he looked up in the air and saw a bat flying up where he was, "I really need to relax, it was just a bat."
And out of nowhere a bicycle hits Tsukune on his back and hears a yelp as it came from a girl as she apparently was riding it and tumbled on the ground, being the gentleman he was he went to see if she was alright, alright he was also curious what she looked like. As he bent over to see if she needed some help he tripped and somehow he ended up with his hand holding her thigh, which made the young pink-haired woman blush and stammer like she had no idea what was happening.
Tsukune tried to act cool and told her he was just checking her for injuries, to which she told him that she didn't feel any pain anywhere, not even her legs, so he of course offered to help her stand back up and as she did Tsukune could swear that he was a pair of breasts that were straining in a bra that was so tight that he could hear the fabric ripping.
She had short pink hair which was something he only saw in anime and anime conventions, she was wearing the Yokai Academy uniform like he was, and that is when she looked at him and smiled, "You are going to Yokai Academy, so am I, you know that I am new at the school so I don't have many friends here, so I am a little nervous."
Tsukune told her not to worry since he was also a new student and if she really wanted to have friends he would be happy to be her friend. The moment he said that she rushed to him and held him in a tight hug as she kept saying thank you over and over again, which made him think why is she reacting like she is the only friend she ever had?
"Honestly I was worried that I was not going to be able to have friends, the reason I fell and hit you with my bike is that I am a little anemic, and the reason I thought I wouldn't have any friends is that I am a Vampire, what do you think of Vampires?" Tsukune told her that he had no problem with Vampires at all, quiet, keep to themselves, live how they want to live, you know real independent people, so she is a Vampire in fact if she needs some blood just ask him and he will give her some.
This made her feel like she heard the single most amazing thing ever or at least that is what Tsukune could tell from her blushing face, and without even a word she got close to him thinking that she was going to kiss him, but no, she got close to his neck and bite him, he couldn't figure why people would complain it doesn't even hurt that much. "So that should help you feel a little better, but I can help you walk if you lean on me, then we can get to the school."
She thanked Tsukune as she walked near him and he felt like he should ask her if some of the old myths about Vampires were true, holy water doesn't work, she was wearing a rosary with a cross so crosses don't have much of an effect, and holy water was still water they can drink that with no problem at all, except for one thing, garlic her father was very allergic to garlic it makes his throat swell up and makes it hard for him to eat food or drink juice.
They finally made it to school and they had to go their separate ways after all he had to meet with the headmaster, apparently, the headmaster had a few things to discuss with him, Tsukune joked with Moka that more than likely it was a lecture and a warning about being tardy, which made Moka laugh.
As he walked over to the headmaster he saw many Egyptian symbols on the walls, he knew how to read Egyptian, even speak it fluently, so the writing on the walls made little sense, it was not in the proper structure, and there was no sign to show who wrote it, the only way he could describe it words just for the sake of having words, but they made him feel almost uneasy as he walked towards the door and before he even managed to knock on the door he heard a voice telling him to enter.
As he walked in he saw a man in a cloak sitting behind an elaborate desk, "Mr. Aono, I will not keep you, I know who you are, and what you are, so let's dispense with the pleasantries, this school, this building, the very lands where this academy is, is my home, so please try to keep the damage and loss of student life to a minimum. I know you of all people know how to control your power and how your actions affect everything around them."
Tsukune looked at him and simply touched a cup of water that was on his desk, "I swear on the waters of the river Styx, that my intentions for being here are just, honorable, and to save the lives of the innocent, and may my soul be dragged to the underworld if what I spoke is not true." He immediately took his hand out of the water and nothing happened which made the headmaster relax, and he began to tell him the curriculum that he will have to study, and everything he needed to know about attending and living in Yokai Academy.
He finally was done and told him his homeroom teacher is probably done introducing him to the rest of the class, so he might as well go to class, the rest of the students will be quite curious about him, as he was ready to leave the office Tsukune turned around and looked at the headmaster, "Would you kindly give my thanks to your father, he made an otherwise what could be a very tense drive to this school pleasant, and he is willing to do me a favor, please tell him that he can come to me if he ever needs me to help him with something."
The headmaster was quite impressed that he knew that the man who drove the bus was actually his father, and was very happy to see that he could show gratitude for being shown such kindness, his father told him that the student he brought to the academy made quite the impression on him and is the reason why the headmaster wanted to meet him, there are very few people who managed to impress his father like that, so of course, he would want to meet him.
As he walked into the classroom he saw the teacher and the other students, as he walked over to the teacher and waited to hear what the teacher wanted him to do, and she told him that he was introduced as a new student and pointed to a chair near the window, "Class like I told you, this is our newest student Tsukune Aono, he might need some help to get used to our academy, so please be kind and help him should he have some trouble in class. Your chair like I said is the empty one by the window, please sit, so I can begin today's lesson.""
As he sat down, the teacher walked over to the blackboard and began to write something, "As this is your first day in class, I think we should go over the rules of Yokai Academy, first rule is that while on Yokai Academy you must always be in your human form, as of currently this world is under the control of humans and as such we must learn to coexist with humans to survive."
"This rule must be followed except in certain exempt occasions, the second rule is you must never reveal your monster species to another student, and the third rule is that you must never cheat in any class assignment, test, or evaluation." You will follow these rules, right?
One of the students in class looked at her and sneered. "I don't know teacher what about the rule that no humans may be in this school, 'cause I swear I think I can feel a human in this class." The teacher Ms. Nekonome looked at the student, "Saizo Komiya, you have to understand this school is a school made by monsters, for monsters, and staffed by monsters, why a human can't come into this school the very barrier that keeps this school hidden would kill any human that enters the property of this school, and even if they somehow managed to sneak in, security would find that human and kill him immediately, so you don't have anything to worry about."
Almost as she finished saying that Moka came into the classroom and saw that Tsukune was in her class she was so happy that she immediately jumped towards him exclaiming her joy that they were in the same class, as she hugged him, Tsukune asked her if everything was taken care of in the school nurses office, to which the teacher asked what did he mean by that?
Tsukune helped Moka find her seat which was right next to his and as she sat down he explained, "I met Moka as soon as I arrived at the school, she told me of her medical condition, I can only guess that she was talking with the school nurse about that to help her deal with her condition, she is anemic, sorry that I had to leave you by the school clinic Moka, the headmaster wanted to speak with me for some strange reason. A warning about punctuality and proper school etiquette, as I told you it was going to be."
Some of the guys in the classroom were glaring daggers at Tsukune, considering that he was so close to Moka and how she was acting like she was both happy and embarrassed, some girls were glaring at her for starting to hunt for a boyfriend even before their first school day ended. "As I already told you, my name is Shizuka Nekonome, I am a literature instructor in this school, but also the homeroom teacher of your class, not to mention the advisor to one of the student clubs in our school, if you are interested in the fascinating profession of journalism, be sure to stay after class if you wish to join the school newspaper club."
After class Moka told him they need to talk about something far away from prying eyes and ears, Tsukune suggested the roof, to which Moka was happy to go there with him, "I am sorry Tsukune, I never knew that this school doesn't allow students to reveal their monster species, I been wondering what kind of monster you are, but since I know about the school rules I guess you can't tell me."
"Don't worry about it Moka, to me Moka is Moka, and that is perfectly fine with me, but let's just say my monster species is not so easy to clarify, and leave it at that, speaking of which I know there is no food prepared in the cafeteria since it is the first day of class, but how about we grab something nice to drink to help with our hunger, my treat."
