Once home from a long evening shift at the local bar, Luna flops down on the couch. Tiredly she kicks her shoes off and forces her unruly brown hair into a ponytail. Her evening had been long as there was certainly no shortage of drunks and nagging customers.

After zapping through the channels for some time, she decides to give in to watching her guilty pleasure: The Vampire Diaries. Although she can't stand most of the characters due to their irreparably annoying personality traits, she still finds the show entertaining, especially Mikaelson related episodes.

But, her moment of rest was short-lived. Outside Luna heard a loud crash, followed by several voices bickering with each other.

Luna froze, wondering if she should investigate the source of the disturbance, which was coming from her garden. 'Surely it would stop.' she thinks. After a moment of hesitation, she decides to explore anyway, sighing and throwing off the blanket she was under. 'Great idea, Luna. Like any character at the beginning of a horror movie, let's go towards the unknown, possible serial killers outside.' she mutters while picking up the aluminum baseball bat from the hall and making her way towards the back door.

"Shh, I think someone's coming." Luna frowns, whoever they were, were unfamiliar with the concept of whispering.

"Hey, don't push me!" This statement sparked further disputes amongst the outsiders. The bickering of the strangers on the other side of the door reminded her of her little nephews. Rolling her eyes she pushes the curtain back and unlocks the door.

She rubs her eyes tiredly while gaping at the group of odd-dressed intruders. Without thinking she switched on the outdoor lighting, which also inadvertently drew the attention of one of the strangers to her, the others still engaged in their heated quarrel.

There was a moment of absolute silence as the eldest sibling, Finn Mikaelson, looked at the woman in the doorway.

His breath caught in his throat as the realization dawned on him. 'It was her.' She was his reason for being, the one he waited for all his life. This woman is his soulmate.

The anger and betrayal he felt when he was finally awoken after 900 years was spontaneously forgotten. He immediately regrets his involvement in his mother's plans. The idea of sacrificing himself to make his mother's guilt disappear was now long gone.

"Damn, u guys look even hotter in real life" Luna mutters incredulously, not looking away.

Luna immediately feels the need to hit her head against the nearest wall, she had finally gotten her voice back, and of course she used it to blurt out an inappropriate sentence.

Luna's sudden statement now also caught the attention of the other Mikaelson siblings. Rebekah looked appraisingly at the unknown young woman, abandoning her heated argument with Kol.

Elijah, the second oldest, could not believe his eyes. Previous affections towards various Petrova's descendants were nothing compared to this otherworldly sense of belonging he was experiencing now. It was as if a lost puzzle piece finally fell into place.

Tilting his head slightly, Niklaus took in the image of the woman before him. A warm, alien feeling spread through his body and swallowed him whole. Under his, hopefully, casual demeanor, his instincts were about to run wild. Immediately a sense of familiarity took hold of him.

Kol, the youngest of the bunch, was the first to overcome the initial shock of seeing his mate. Although he too was immersed with a sense of familiarity and affection for the angelic woman before him, he lacked the impulsive control of his brothers.

Without thinking, Kol sped towards the young lady in an unnaturally rapid manner. She saw his movement from the corner of her eye and stepped back on an impulse.

Kol was so taken aback by the discovery of his mate that he forgot that as a vampire, he couldn't just storm into the house without having received an invitation from the inhabitant. This led to him crashing up against the invisible barrier.

Slightly alarmed by his sudden actions, Luna turned her gaze to the man in front of her. "Nathaniel Buzolic? Umm, what are you doing in my garden?" she asks. She quickly glances over his shoulder and saw the other Mikaelsons still staring at her. "With the rest of the cast? Not that I have any objection, but most celebrities use the front door," she added dryly. Her voice sounded confident, something she certainly didn't feel in this bizarre situation.

"Nathan- who? Never mind that. You must have mistaken me for someone else. The name is Kol Mikaelson, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, darling." He reaches for Luna's hand out of habit but was stopped yet again by the invisible barrier.

"Kol Mikaelson?" Luna echoes incredulously. She raises an eyebrow and slightly tightened her grip on the baseball bat, he nodded.

"Alright, 'Kol Mikaelson'. What are you doing in my yard? And what was that noise?" She wasn't sure what was going on but decided to play along. 'Must be a prank show, right?' was the first thought that crossed her mind.

"Why are you making quotation marks with your hand?" Kol was slightly offended, as if he would ever lie to his mate, especially about something as trivial as his name.

Finn watches the conversation between his mate and his youngest brother. Like Kol, he too got over his dismay. He looked away reluctantly and noticed how Elijah and Niklaus gazed at the woman. Frowning slightly, after this discovery he returned his gaze to Luna and remarked that the human being had no sense of the attraction that he, and his brothers, felt towards her.

The oldest Mikaelson wasn't the only one to notice this. Rebekah tilted her head slightly and then understood what was happening. Her brothers had found their mate. Although she was happy for her siblings, a sense of concern immediately gnawed at her. She doesn't want her brothers fighting for her affections or worse, being played by this woman. Despite this, she had snorted when she heard the first remark the woman uttered. She and her brothers probably weren't supposed to hear it. At times like that she was very happy with her supernatural hearing.

"Sorry for the turmoil my siblings and I have caused, love. Niklaus Mikaelson, but you may call me Klaus or Nik." Niklaus quickly steps forward , he did not want his reckless brother too close to his mate. Although she was still safely behind the threshold, Niklaus did not like the idea. Kol narrows his eyes at him and growled lightly.

"We, ourselves, are not sure what happened. One minute we were in my mansion the next in the backyard of a beautiful young lady." Niklaus continues while flashing a charming smile at Luna.

Luna looked at him motionless for a second and averted her gaze, before bursting into laughter. She had finally let go of the baseball bat and was now clutching her stomach.

The Mikaelsons gave her a puzzled look and various noises of indignation could be heard.

She saw the bemused looks of the "Mikaelsons" and laughed even louder. "Wow! You almost got me there!" She giggles while gasping for air. "I knew you guys were funny, but this is next level! Anyway, where are the cameras?" Luna asks, sobering up a bit.

"Cameras?" Finn gave her a questioning look, though he enjoyed hearing her laughter, he was afraid she might be over-exhausted and therefore talking nonsense.

"There are no cameras, darling" Kol adds while warily eyeing his approaching elder brothers.

"But ... if this isn't a joke, then why are you in my yard? And why are you pretending to be your characters from the show? 'Luna looked confused at the diverse faces she has admired on the screen so many times.

Judging by the bewildered looks on the faces of the intruders, they didn't have the slightest idea what she was talking about.

"Maybe we should continue this conversation indoors," Elijah suggests, whose inner animal became slightly agitated by the fact that thanks to his brothers, he couldn't get closer to his mate.

Although Luna did not dare to speak up about her suspicions, she decided to put it to the test. She gave a short nod and took a step back. She wanted to see how the 'Mikaelsons' responded to this act and if they could enter without her explicit invitation.

As expected, Niklaus and Kol, who were closest to the door, looked warily at the threshold and seemed unsure on how to proceed. Rebekah looked at Luna with raised eyebrows and understood what she was doing. She stepped forward, pushed aside her brothers, who both made noises of protest but otherwise did not object to their sister's action, and smiled sincerely at the woman. "Very clever to not invite us in verbally. I suppose this means you know what we are?" She smoothed the folds of her dress and saw the human nodding in response.

"It's impossible and I'm pretty sure this is one of my bizarre dreams, but I'll play along. You are the Mikaelsons, also known as the Original family. You are about 1000 years old and you were turned into vampires by your mother Esther, The Original Witch. You are feared by every supernatural being and have the motto 'Always and forever'.'' with a shrug, Luna ends her little speech and looks at them one by one.

At the mention of his mother, Finn awkwardly averts his gaze. Knowing all this, chances were she also knew about his planned betrayal of his brothers and sister.

Luna notices Finn's motion and softens her gaze. She always thought it was unfair that Finn was portrayed so negatively by the writers. If she was put in a box for 900 years, she wouldn't be too happy with her siblings either. Finn was one of those characters who deserved better and if all of this was somehow real, she would make sure he got the life he deserved.

Elijah looked at his mate in surprise. He wondered how she knew all this. "Please let us in. We would love to learn more about you and how you became acquainted with our past." Luna looked at him with uncertainty, once they could enter she was nowhere safe.

The noble Original seemed to hear her doubts and immediately wanted to reassure her. "Do not worry, Elskan. My siblings won't harm you, you have my word." She smiles fondly at him when she heard his promise. Elijah and his word, another beloved catchphrase.

"My name is Luna." She simply states. "And thank you for your promise. Please come in, Elijah." flashing a kindhearted smile, she took another step back to allow the Original to enter.

Elijah carefully steps over the threshold so as not to startle the young woman. As he walked past her he sniffed lightly. He allowed himself to take in her scent. Elijah halts next to her, relishing being so close to his mate without being disturbed by his other brothers.

Niklaus and Kol saw their older brother's self-righteous look and growl menacingly at him.

Elijah ignored the insignificant sounds of his brothers and allowed himself to admire Luna from up close. He marveled at her long lashes and plump and rosy-colored lips. He thought of her to be the most exquisite creature to have ever graced the earth.

The brunette was oblivious to Elijah's investigating gaze and looked troubled at the growling Mikaelsons until a cough diverted her attention. Her gaze shifted to the female Original.

Rebekah had rolled her eyes at the animalistic sound coming from her brothers. "Would I be allowed in too, Luna? Although I am an immortal being, I'd rather not spend the rest of the evening in your garden."

"Please, come in Rebekah" Luna smiles warmly at the blonde, briefly touching her hand, to show her wish for friendship to the blonde. Rebekah looks somewhat startled but quickly covered it up with a hesitant smile.

Although Rebekah would love to have a real friend, one she could trust, she still resolved to be a little reserved towards Luna. The brunette had not done anything wrong to her or her brothers, but she didn't want to be stabbed in the back again by a so-called friend.

Luna had realized how all the Mikaelsons had drawn their attention to her and felt a bit self-conscious. She disliked being the center of attention, especially when that attention came from 5 extremely attractive, yet dangerous Originals. Luna shifts her feet slightly. After standing all night, she felt her fatigue increase. Especially the discovery that she was now surrounded by her favorite (fictional) serial killers drained her energy.

"Finn, please come in." Luna reached timidly for the eldest brother. He was slightly surprised that she looked at him with such sincerity. He grabbed her hand almost eagerly once he passed the threshold. He felt her grip relax faintly, but she didn't let go. As if she knew he longed for human contact. A gentle squeeze in his hand confirmed his speculation.

Kol looks longingly at the entwined fingers of his mate and his brother. He looks at his eldest brother incomprehensibly. His usual aloof and unemotional features were now relaxed, almost amused even, as he admires Luna.

Kol shifts his gaze to Luna and looks at her pleadingly. "Can I go in too? Please, Angel? You weren't going to leave us out in the cold, were you?" he asks, tone slightly accusing.

Niklaus said nothing and looked aggravated at the two brothers who were within reach of his mate. 'Honestly, would he, the Original hybrid be denied access by his mate, meanwhile his stupid, self-righteous brothers had free reign?' In his mind, Niklaus was already thinking of ways to get even with his brothers when the voice of his mate broke through.

Luna recognized the look in Niklaus' eyes all too well. This was his 'I will kill you and everyone you know' look. Not knowing that this look was directed at the men beside her.

She seemed mildly tormented with the dilemma that now arose. She could let him in, and he would probably crush her windpipe within seconds. Or she could deny him and Kol entry, which would likely cause irreparable damage to her parental home. She had seen what he did when he was denied access to the Gilbert residence, and she didn't want to take that chance.

She decided to take a page from Elena's book, something she never thought she would do, but then again, she never thought she would face the Original family either.

"If I let you in, you will have to stick to my rules." Luna began, her voice trembling slightly, she was all too familiar with both Mikaelson's temper and their inability to follow rules.

Elijah saw her jaw tighten and heard her pulse quicken. He took her other hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. Gratefully, she squeezed back.

Kol immediately opened his mouth to protest but snapped it back shut when he saw the ominous looks his elder brothers gave him. He gazed at the brunette with a slight pout.

"You leave my family, neighbors, and friends alone. Also, if you want to eat, you do it decently. And, no murder sprees! Deal?" Luna looks sharply at the youngest Mikaelson brothers.

"Deal." Niklaus huffs after a short silence. At this point, he would buy her the Eiffel Tower himself if it meant he could finally get closer to his mate. Kol pouted a little longer but finally caved, seeing that his mate was not going to change her rules for him.

"Niklaus, Kol. Please come in."
