"Hey Freddy! I know that we've known each other for a long time and um…no that won't work.
Freddy, you know that we've known each….err! No that won't work either.
Hey Freddy, would you….no no no! Too forward.
Spazzy, you want to go out some time? No….
Freddy, why don't we go see a movie this weekend? Sounds too desperate….
I like you a lot Freddy, and was wondering if you know, maybe you wanted to go out for ice cream maybe? Okay, no!
This is never going to work! He doesn't like me, he just thinks of us as friends. Why do I even bother?" Summer gave up looking in the mirror and jumped on her bed in frustration.
She liked Freddy, no she loved Freddy. But they were just friends. Summer was determined to get him as her boyfriend.
"Bother with what?" A male voice said from her doorway.
Summer bolted straight up, "Hey Freddy!"
"Hey." He said sitting next to her on her bed.
"How long have you been standing there?" She asked worriedly.
"The whole time." he said honestly flipping through her photo book. There were pictures of here on her first birthday, her second, third and so on. There was many of her and Freddy. Some from Battle of the Bands, some from other gigs and many other occasions.
Summer gulped, "The whole thing?" she asked.
"Yeah. Personally, I like the ice cream one. Of course, only if you pay." He said putting the photo book down. Summer laughed. "Cauze you know, I'm broke."
"Yeah. Buying all that hair gel is expensive." She laughed and ruffled his hair. She changed her position and laid her head on his chest and he wrapped his arm around her shoulders.
"But you know Tink; I can afford a movie this weekend with you." He said looking in her eyes.
She smiled, "Oh really?" She asked.
"Yup. And maybe afterwards, we can get ice cream. I think I have enough hair gel to last me a while. "He smiled.
Summer laughed, "Are you asking me out?" she asked. Wrapping her arm around his torso.
"You know it babe." He said.
"Sure." She replied and closed her eyes.
"I have one question though." He asked.
"Hmm?"
"Which one were you going to use?" He asked.
She laughed and smiled. "I don't know. I thought everything was stupid." she said.
"Don't worry Tink, you'll never have to go through that again." He said and kissed the top of her head.
"Why's that?" She asked.
"Because you and me, we'll be together forever." He said and she snuggled closer.
"You think?" She asked.
"No Tink, I know." He answered and kissed her.
