"This is it, guys! Let's end this for good!" Megaforce Red rallied as he and his team face against the final set of X-Borgs.
"Super Mega Final Strike Charge!" Super Megaforce Silver announced as he brandishes his Super Silver Spear in blaster mode.
"Mega Weapons! Combine!" the Megaforce Rangers announced as they assemble the Megaforce Blaster for the last time. "Megaforce Blaster, ready!" they announced as their weapon charges up.
"Dynamic Victory Charge!"
"Super Spear Blaster!" the Power Rangers exclaimed as they fire their weapons, blasting away the last of The Armada's troops.
"Now, that was legendary!" Megaforce Red declared before turning to his team. "And we have some new friends to thank for it. Come on!" he added before they all walk away.
They depower and regroup with their predecessors; the Power Rangers that came before them, and standing at the front is Tommy Oliver: the Mighty Morphin Green Ranger. "We can't thank you enough." Troy said to him.
"No, thank you. Earth is safe again. It was an honour to fight by your side." Tommy told them proudly. "Well, it's time for us to leave." Tommy added as he extends his hand to Troy, and they shake hands. "We'll always be with you." Tommy assured.
"Thank you." Troy thanked the old hero before they nod gratefully. Tommy walks back to the Power Rangers and puts on his helmet before taking a good look at the new heroes standing before them.
"Hyaah!" the Power Rangers all yelled before they are engulfed in golden light and teleport, sending a shockwave that knocks the Super Megaforce Rangers away. The Rangers look on as the golden light scatter throughout the sky as the legends return home.
"It's really over?" Orion said in relief before they all lie back on the ground to relax after an entire day of fighting and laugh it out together.
"Look at the sky." Emma commented as she looks up at the wonderful blue sky. "I forgot how blue it is… without all those Armada ships.
"This is incredible." Noah muttered. "I still can't believe you took down the emperor's ship."
"Man… I didn't think you two were coming back." Jake told Troy.
"To be honest… neither did I." Troy replied.
"What happens now?" Gia wondered as she looked to the sky.
Troy stands up and looks to the sky with hope. "We go home." he answered as he turns to his friends. Before they move on, Gia kisses Jake on the cheek, stunning him in surprise.
Emma chuckles as Gia walks with Jake, wrapping her arms around him, while Noah pumps his fist in excitement as his friend just got a date. "Seriously, this day cannot get any better!" Jake said as he walks with Gia.
Troy twirls and points his Super Mega Saber to the sky before burying its blade into the ground as his friends walk away. "C'mon, guys!" his friends said before he catches up to them. And with that, Earth is at peace once more.
This was in 2014, and the biggest battle the Power Rangers ever fought ended as quickly as it started.
The Armada sought to conquer Earth to add to its sphere of oppression, only for all its forces to be destroyed in one fell swoop, all in one day. As a result of the invasion, the alien police organization Space Patrol Delta made their presence public to Earth, and made precautions to prevent further invasions. Ironically, this opened up Earth to more alien arrivals, 99% being peaceful, with 1% of malicious intent, everything was otherwise peaceful. For the next few years, S.P.D.'s own Rangers have protected the Earth, but this story isn't about them.
During this time, the Super Megaforce Rangers have moved on with their lives, and found new careers after finishing high school.
Noah joined Grid Battleforce and lent his knowledge on past Power Rangers as well as his Legendary Ranger Database to the organization.
Gia and Jake married and became martial arts trainers based in Harwood, their clients ranging from local youth to celebrities.
Emma became a professional nature photographer and environmental activist scouring the Earth for all sorts of sights.
Orion is still working out stuff on Earth, having been through thousands of part-time jobs to expand his skills: from being an auto mechanic to acting in commercials, and is now a luggage handler at a spaceport.
As for Troy, for the past few years nobody really knows what he's doing, despite continuing to hang out with them. Today's the day they all find out what he's been doing all this time.
In Coral Harbor, the main headquarters of Grid Battleforce, Noah is working in the main lab when a younger teenaged boy of Hispanic descent with neat black hair, wearing glasses and the Grid Battleforce researcher uniform approaches him. "Mornin', Noah. How's work?" the kid asked him.
"Silva, morning." Noah greeted him. "I've just finished compiling data on the S.P.D. Rangers."
"It's sad what happened to Officer Tate. I hope his family's doing okay." Silva commented solemnly.
"I hope so, too." Noah said as he gets a message on his computer. "It's from Troy!" Noah said excitedly.
"Super Mega Red!" Silva added.
"He says he wants me to meet me at Angel Grove Spaceport later today after work." Noah read the message.
"It's been a few months since you've seen him, hasn't it?" Silva asked.
"Last we saw each other; we went on an anniversary picnic at the cliffs outside Harwood." Noah said. "I wonder why we're meeting up in Angel Grove of all places."
In Harwood, hometown of the Megaforce Rangers, Gia is standing in a fighting ring in a gym, dressed in a white gi and just powerslammed a young man wearing a cowboy hat.
"Ow." The man groaned as he lies on the ground as his hat falls off.
"Class dismissed." Gia said as someone claps in the background.
"Woo! Go, Gia!" Jake clapped as he approaches the ring.
Gia helps up the man and puts his hat back on his head. "That's it for today, Mister Weston."
"Just call me Levi. I may be a celebrity, but I'm like, four years younger than you guys." The man chuckled.
"Call it a formality." Jake said as Levi vaults over the rope.
Levi takes off his gi and reveals his brown T-shirt. "Well, this session really was something. You guys earned those tickets."
"Yes!" Jake pumped his fist.
"We'll see you next week, Mister Weston." Gia said as Levi takes his backpack.
"Next time, teach me that last move." Levi smiled before walking away.
"This was awesome! Not only we get to meet Levi Weston, but we got tickets to his concert!" Jake said to Gia excitedly as their phones ring.
"I got a text from Troy!" Jake said as he shows Gia his phone.
"Angel Grove?" Gia read the message on her phone.
"That's where the concert is! After we see Troy, we can take him there!" Jake suggested.
"Yes, he's gonna love it!" Gia added.
In the wilderness of Pine Ridge, Emma is taking pictures of local wildlife when she stumbles upon a circle of ancient dinosaur statues in a forest clearing. Right now, she is wearing a pink wool jacket and a frilly white dress. "Dino Henge! I've heard of this on the brochure!" she excitedly runs to it when she hears a rustling in the brush.
She stops to look at the brush, and emerging from it is a young white woman with short brown hair, wearing a pink tank top and white jogging pants. "Oh, hi. You lost?" the woman waved to Emma.
"I'm taking pictures of the wildlife here. I'm Emma, Emma Goodall." Emma introduces herself.
"Amelia Jones, nice to meet you." the woman introduces herself. "So, whaddya think of this?" Amelia turned to Dino Henge.
"It's amazing. I heard it's millions of years old, predating any human settlement." Emma focuses her eyes on Dino Henge.
"I'd love to solve the mystery of this thing. I love a good mystery, the older the better." Amelia added.
"My old homeroom teacher would eat this all up." Emma turns to Amelia. "He loves all these supernatural mystery stuff. Like bigfoot."
The two smiles at the structure when Emma receives a text. She takes her phone and sees a message from Troy. "I gotta go. Hey, good luck on solving mysteries!" Emma said to Amelia before running off.
"Bye, Emma! And thanks!" Amelia waved to the departing Emma.
Standing in the coast of Angel Grove is a futuristic spaceport where ships and shuttles arrive and depart, sending and dropping off both human and alien passengers to and from Earth. Noah just arrived in a taxi, wearing a blue leather jacket with a whole lotta zippers. "Where's everyone else?" he wondered when he hears a horn.
He turns to see a white baggage tractor pull up, and exiting from it is Orion in a high-vis jacket. "Hey, Noah!" Orion greeted Noah as he comes in for a hug.
"Orion, how're ya doing?" Noah hugs Orion.
"How's about you? You keeping outta trouble?" Orion asked Noah.
"As usual. I've updated the Database again." Noah answered.
"Not the database, I'm talking about you!" Orion asked. "You got hooked up yet? Played any games recently?"
"Well, I opened a Wizard's Wood Online account. It's pretty fun." Noah said.
"No way, I got one too! I'm level forty!" Orion said excitedly.
"Forty? You must've been playing for a while." Noah chuckled when they hear a motorcycle growl.
Pulling up to the spaceport is Jake and Gia on a black motorcycle. They dismount the bike and take of their helmets as they approach their friends. Gia is wearing a yellow jacket with a black shirt and jeans; an inverse of her usual attire's colouration. Jake is wearing a black blazer and a black plaid shirt with faded jeans. "Noah, Orion, yo!" Jake waved to them.
"Jake, Gia!" Orion greeted Jake with a firm bro-shake.
"How's the jacket, Noah?" Gia asked Noah.
"It's comfy, but I still don't get why it has so many pockets." Noah said as he opens his upper right breast pocket.
"You gotta admit, it looks cool on you." Gia nudged his arm when Emma arrives on a B.M.X.
"What's up?" Emma greeted her friends.
"Hey, Emma! How's our favourite photographer doing?" Jake greeted her.
"She's not D. Keido." Orion said before Noah elbows him. "What? I like his experimental style!" Orion chuckled.
"So… the gang's all here." Noah noted.
"Except Troy. Where is he?" Jake wondered as people gather outside the spaceport and point their phones to the sky.
"What's going…" Noah wondered as they turn to the sky, and a shadow looms over them. "…on?"
"No way…" Orion smiled in awe as they witness the Super Mega Skyship descending from the atmosphere.
"The Skyship, it's here!" Emma said excitedly as it drops anchor into the water.
"Ahoy, me hearties!" a voice greeted them from behind. They turn around and see none other than Troy wearing a red reefer jacket, a tricorne decorated with the Super Megaforce insignia, and an eyepatch over his left eye, crossing his arms confidently.
"Troy!" his friends exclaimed before they hug him.
"You're… you're actually here!" Noah said as he hugs tight.
"Yarr, it be great to be lubbin' land again!" Troy said with a pirate accent.
"What's with the getup?" Gia chuckled as they break off the hug.
Troy takes off his hat and lifts his eyepatch to reveal an intact eye. "Okay, now get this: the ship, the jackets on our suits, the curved swords…" Troy listed as his friends wait in anticipation. "I realized we looked like pirates!"
"Huh. Never thought of that." Orion commented.
"So you decided to go all out on a pirate costume from the Halloween store?" Jake chuckled.
"Hey, I made this myself." Troy chuckled. "Well, you could say I was developing some character out there in space."
"The ship… when did you have it rebuilt?" Emma asked.
"It only took a couple months after the Legendary Battle." Troy responded.
"I can't believe you never told us!" Gia said.
"I wanted to surprise you!" Troy answered excitedly.
"Well, colour us surprised." Jake chuckled.
"Wanna take a look inside? It's a whole new Skyship!" Troy asked.
"You bet we do!" Emma exclaimed.
Troy puts his eyepatch back on and pulls out his Legendary Morpher. "Tensou, bring us aboard!" he commanded. At that moment, the Rangers are engulfed in coloured aura before they disappear into thin air.
As the crowd gathers at the spaceport, a spiky-headed shadow lurks from behind a dumpster on a street corner. "With the humans rubbernecking, I'll draw less attention to myself while conducting my business." a New York-accented voice said to himself. "Ooh, a cheeseburger." He said before taking a cheeseburger from the dumpster and waddling off.
The Rangers materialize aboard the Skyship's deck, overlooking the spaceport dock. "Awesome, we're on the ship!" Jake went to the edge to look down to the ocean.
"We never really teleport a lot, do we?" Emma noted.
"Oh yeah, it was just that one time we met Gosei and Tensou. After that we had to walk to and from the Command Centre." Gia recalled.
"Would've been nice if we could call up Gosei and ask him to beam us there." Noah said.
"I see it as necessary exercise." Orion commented as Troy walks down to the lower deck.
"Ye scallywags coming?" He hollered to them. His friends turn and follow him down into the ship.
The ship's lower deck is a rustic interior decorated with plain yellow wallpaper and wooden floorboards. Furnishing the interior are a leather couch and a coffee table at one corner, a blue arcade machine in another corner opposite the couch, a dining table in the corner in front of the staircase. Above a larger staircase leading further into the ship is a wall-mounted monitor displaying a spinning Super Megaforce insignia. In the centre where the mast column sticks through the ship is a single leather chair with a chest beside it. "Woah, nice pad, Troy!" Jake smiled as he admires the decor.
"Thanks. I always thought the inside was too industrial, so I did some redecorating." Troy replied.
"Certainly more cozy than the command centre." Noah commented.
"Squaaawk!" a voice screeched when a mahogany blur flies past Jake's head. "We've been boarded! We've been boarded!"
The brown dash darts around the room, and Troy's friends dodge every chance they get. When it flies straight into Emma's face, Troy catches it in time, leaving an inch between them. "Woah, woah, relax. It's just the our friends." Troy told the object as he holds it in his hands. He shows his friends a robotic parrot made of mahogany plating, gold trim, and the Super Megaforce badge stuck on its chest. It is also holding a Super Mega Blaster in its beak.
"Woah, you got a robot parrot to complete the pirate look!" Emma pointed.
"Emma? Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't know it was you!" the parrot spoke in a familiar voice.
"Tensou?!" they all said in surprise as Troy takes the blaster from Tensou and places him on his shoulder.
"Tensou Three: he's been my first mate in my adventures." Troy explained.
"And it's been great! Discounting all the horrifying, horrifying space incidents we've had. You would not believe what we went through." Tensou 3 said as he flaps his wings.
"Three? What happened to Two?" Noah asked.
Troy pointed to the arcade machine. "Gosei gave Tensou an upgrade when he made the new Skyship. It was supposed to act as an advanced administration unit, whatever that means." He walks over to the machine. "But I made some upgrades so I can play games on it."
"So, why's Tensou a parrot now?" Jake asked.
"Long story short: my old body broke." Tensou 3 answered.
"Motors and servos, that is. The game consoles we put in are fine." Troy answered.
"Well, at least it's great to see you in one piece again, Tensou." Noah said.
"Hey, what's in here?" Jake pointed to the chest. "Pirate booty?"
Troy stifles a laugh before walking over to the chest. "Check it." he opens it to reveal all the Legendary Rangers Keys inside.
"You put all the Ranger Keys in there?" Orion asked.
"Sure did. For safety reasons, Gosei gave them to me." Troy answered.
Noah investigates the chest, adjusting his glasses. "You just put them all in there? It's so… disorganized." He said as he takes the Megaforce Blue Ranger Key.
"I got shelves downstairs ready, but I couldn't find the time to sort them out." Troy scratched the back of his head.
"With bad guys constantly on our aft, we can barely get things done!" Tensou 3 commented.
"So, Troy, why after all these years are you telling us this now?" Gia asked Troy.
"Space adventures are good and all, but I missed the old days when we fought together." Troy said as he takes off his hat. "So, I'm putting the team back together!" he tilts the hat to his friends to reveal their own Ranger Keys, from Blue to Silver.
"You kept these too!" Gia said as she and her friends take their respective Keys.
"So, you had them on your head the whole day?" Jake said as he flicked a bit of hair off his Ranger Key.
"We could morph again and sail the infinite cosmic sea, fighting bad guys and helping good aliens out! Just like old times." Troy suggested.
His friends look to each other with uncertain looks before they return their keys to his hat. As they place their keys into his hat, Troy's smile slowly droops. "Troy… we did our part those years ago, and it's time to let new Rangers take care of Earth." Gia said.
"I do miss fighting bad guys, but I like where I am now." Jake added.
"The time we fought at Rangers were pretty great, but there's more to life than fighting evil space aliens." Emma refused politely.
"Hey, I'm still getting used to stuff on Earth." Orion put his Key in the hat.
Noah looks at his key longingly before looking to Troy. "I'll think about it." he pockets the Key into his upper left breast pocket.
Troy looks down into his hat, staring at the five Ranger Keys inside. He inhales deeply before putting the hat back on his head. "I… I understand. You have your lives, I have mine." He said bluntly.
"Don't take it too hard, Troy. We're still your friends, Rangers or not." Emma assured.
"But, we can still hang out around Angel Grove, right? I hear they have a great seafood place." Troy asked.
"Sure thing, Troy." Orion agreed.
"Hey, we've got tickets to a Levi Weston concert later tonight! You should come!" Jake suggested as he puts his hands on Troy's shoulders.
"That… sounds awesome." Troy smiled.
"We'll be 'round town 'til then." Emma said.
"Hey, Tensou, can you help us get down?" Orion asked.
"Of course! Follow me!" Tensou 3 jumps off Troy's shoulder and flaps his wings before dashing to the stairs. As Troy follows his friends to the stairs, he runs his hand over the chest before moving on.
The six friends are sat at the Surf Shack: a surfing-themed restaurant decorated with surfboards mounted on the walls and other nautical-themed decorations. "You guys are gonna love the food here. The garlic shrimp is to die for." Orion suggested.
"On the cosmic seas, used to fish for strange creatures in asteroid belts. I have the pictures to prove it!" Troy said in his pirate persona.
"There's fish in space?" Jake asked.
"They're not like the floppy critters that swim our oceans, but strange beings that move with the flow of the void." Troy presents them pictures of his catches on his Legendary Morpher. He shows them strange, otherworldy creatures with cursory resemblances to Earth's sea creatures; fish with tentacles in place of rear fins, a ringed starfish with a hole through it, and blue isopod-like crustaceans with claws bigger than its body.
"I like the new you. Not that I'm saying that the old you's not great, but I'm just saying that having a pirate for a friend's pretty fantastic." Jake commented as their orders arrive.
"Thanks, Adelle." Orion thanked the waitress as she puts their orders down on the table.
"My pleasure, Orion." The waitress: an elderly black woman with white dreadlocks wearing a yellow polo shirt said to Orion. "Jus' for you'n your friends, you got yourself a ten-percent discount."
Troy himself has a plate of garlic shrimp served to him. "Tis been many a moon since I've had the pleasure of eating the dishes of me home port."
"It looks so fun. I really do wish we could be with you up there, I do." Emma said.
"If only there was a way we could balance being Rangers in space and being normal people." Gia sighed.
"I can't believe we had that much free time when we were in school." Jake said.
As they ate, Noah looks at his Ranger Key, then hides it when a waiter passes by. "Noah?" Orion said to Noah as he snaps out of it. "Your chowder's here."
"Oh, right." Noah said as he takes his spoon.
"Still thinking about joining Troy?" Orion asked.
"Yeah. Like you guys, I missed our adventures, but as much as I wanna, I have a job to do on Earth, and a busy one at that." Noah answered.
"Well, nowadays I'm really busy with my jobs, but I've still got free time on the weekends." Orion said.
"Weekends?" Noah thought. Before he could eat a drop of his soup, they feel the ground quake beneath them as the lights flicker and decorations swing.
"Blimey, an earthquake! All hands, batten down the hatches!" Troy exclaimed.
From the window, the Rangers spy see a squad of black-suited robots with silver, bowling-ball-like faces carrying bags of cash down the street. Catching up to them is a brown-scaled humanoid alien wearing a Hawaiian shirt and jorts, armed with a right robot arm with a blaster. "Let's get outta here!" the alien waved to his robots as he runs past the restaurant.
"Arr, looks like some scallywag plundered some boot—" Troy stifles another laugh, then lifts his eyepatch. "Sorry." He smiled before lowering the eyepatch. "Ye mateys stay here while I chase down this scourge." He ran out of the restaurant.
"Troy, hold on!" Gia called out to him before they run out, though Orion is just shocked in place as they leave.
"Hey, wait!" he reached out to them. He puts down some money on the table before following them. "We'll have this for takeout, Adelle!"
The alien runs down the street with his robots hauling his loot. "I can't believe it, my first robbery!" he said to himself in a New York accent. "When I escape the city, I'll have enough moolah to buy the rest of the Quantum Enhancer!" he looks at his robot arm. Suddenly, a row of blasts blocks his path. "Oh no, S.P.D. found me!"
"Wrong, scurvy dog!" Troy stood from a rooftop. He shoots a grapple line to a flagpole and swings into the street, grabbing the bags of cash from the robots in one go before letting them down on a street corner. "And that just be a shot across the bow to ya." He said with his back to the alien.
"Scurvy? Oh, you're making me blush." The alien said, taking the response flatteringly before realizing his situation. "Hey, who're you?! You're messing with Hogs: the soon-to-be owner of a full Quantum Enhancer suit!" the alien pointed to Troy.
"Ye wanna know the old salt standing before ye, do ya?" Troy turns to the alien with his head lowered. "I be the corsair of the cosmos, privateer of the planets, the seadog of space that brings justice wherever his man-o-war sails." Troy approaches the alien. "But the people of Earth know me as…" Troy throws his hat to the side. "…Super Mega Red!" he holds up his Red Ranger Key.
His friends arrive at the scene in time to see him morph. "There he is!" Noah pointed.
"Super Mega Mode!" Troy pointed the Ranger Key to the alien before swinging it around his head and into the Legendary Morpher. From the Morpher, red Xs fly onto his body and he morphs into Super Mega Red. "Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of lum!" Red Ranger roared.
"A Power Ranger!" Hogs whimpered. "What're you standin' round for? Get him!" Hogs pushes a robot towards Super Mega Red. The robots charge at Red Ranger, who pulls out his Super Mega Blaster and blasts the incoming robots.
He continues to shoot the Krybots like fish in a barrel, then he presses a button on his golden belt. "Let's show them a New Power they've never seen before!" he said as a Legendary Ranger Key of Dino Charge Red appears. He takes the Ranger Key and yells "Ready!" before inserting it into his Legendary Morpher. "Energize!" He fires one shot at a line of Krybots, and out comes a robotic T. Rex head that chomps them before returning to Red Ranger, morphing him into Dino Charge Red, changing his Super Mega Blaster into a Dino Charge Morpher. "Unleash the power!" he shouted before charging at the Krybots, firing repeating blasts.
From a street corner, Troy's friends watches as he fights the robots. "Those are Krybots, sold by the alien black market dealer Broodwing." Noah observed.
"What about that Red Ranger? I've never seen that one before." Jake asked.
"That's Dino Charge Red of the Dino Charge Rangers. We've never seen him before because, just like RPM, they're from another dimension where dinosaurs never went extinct." Noah adjusted his glasses.
"Real dinosaurs? That I gotta see." Emma commented.
"Just when we thought we'd never see some action today." Gia said.
"Discounting the part where you powerslammed Levi Weston?" Jake chuckled.
"You did what to Levi Weston?" Emma questioned.
Noah watches the fight before noticing Troy's discarded hat containing their Ranger Keys. "We can't just stand around while he does all the work, can we?"
"I like what you're thinking." Orion smiled. The Rangers rush past the hat and collect their Ranger Keys as they enter battle.
Jake is the last to do so and he takes the hat for himself. "Arr!" he growled like a pirate as he raises his curled-up finger like a pirate's hook before following them.
"Dino Saber!" Red Ranger exclaimed as he presents a slim yellow sword, and cuts down the nearest Krybot. He continues cutting at the Krybots like they were butter thrown at him. "Don't count on these bilge rats to take me down!"
Hogs nervously watch as his troops are gunned down by the lone Ranger and tries to get to the money on the street corner, but is kicked away by Noah. "Hands off, man."
As Hogs gets up, the rest of the Power Rangers surround him. "Who're you palookas? Y'know what? I don't care." Hogs groaned before swiftly punching Jake next to him.
"Jake!" Gia exclaimed.
Hogs tosses up a metal ball that dissolves into particles, then reform into Krybots that attack the rest of the team. "Sorry, but I can't stay and chat. I've got a Quantum Enhancer to buy." He picks up the cash bags and runs off.
"C'mon, let's morph!" Jake suggested as he kicks a Krybot.
The team lines up shoulder-to-shoulder, and they each take their Legendary Morphers from their pockets. As Red Ranger fights the Krybots, he sees them. "Just like old times…" he said in his regular inflection.
"It's Morphin' Time!" the Rangers shouted before inserting the Keys into their Morphers. Orion sticks his Silver Ranger Key into the Legendary Silver Morpher's display and presses the corresponding button, scanning the Key. "Super Mega Mode!" they shouted as coloured Xs slam into their bodies, morphing them into their Ranger forms.
"Super Mega Blue!"
"Super Mega Green!"
"Super Mega Yellow!"
"Super Mega Pink!"
"Super Mega Silver!"
"Earth's defenders never surrender!" they shouted their rallying cry before charging at the Krybots with their weapons.
"Jake, take this!" Blue Ranger shouted to Green Ranger before tossing his blaster to him.
"Lets swap!" Green Ranger tosses his sword to him. Their weapons fly past each other before landing in the hands of the recipients, who immediately go double-time on the Krybots.
Yellow Ranger uses her double-headed blade technique as she twirls around the Krybots, shredding them before they could touch her. "The best part about owning a dojo is that you never get rusty!"
As Pink Ranger blasts the Krybots with double blasters, a single Krybot somehow jumps onto her back. "Aaah!" she squeaked as she tries to shake it off. She hears an explosion behind her ear and feels a great weight dropped off her back. She turns around to see the Krybot laying on the asphalt with a gaping hole in its chest, and Mighty Morphin Red Ranger holding up his Blade Blaster in blaster mode. "Thanks, Troy!" she waved to him.
Red Ranger nods and leaps out of the scene and out of sight.
Then, she hears a familiar voice shout "Dino Steel! Armour On!" and sliding from a distant street corner is Dino Charge Red in Dino Steel mode engaging Hogs, who shoots repeating laser blasts from his arm.
"Wait, but he- then, he—" Pink Ranger stammered before blaster-whipping a Krybot coming up behind her.
Silver Ranger twirls his Super Silver Spear at the Krybots, skewering one before using it to hammer the rest away. He kicks the Krybot off his weapon and converts it to blaster mode. "Blaster Mode!" he shoots the Krybot lying on the ground, destroying it. The helmet flies towards him and he bicycle-kicks it into another Krybot, knocking it to Blue Ranger's swords. "Goal!"
As the lasers come at Red Ranger, he catches them with his T-Rex Smasher and crushes them. "Is that all ye can deck out, swabbie?!" he taunts Hogs.
"How in physics did you even do that?" Hogs scratches his head before Red Ranger throws a punch. Hogs braces for impact, and his Quantum Enhancer Arm produces a riot shield that absorbs the blow. "Huh?" he peeks to the shield before slapping Red Ranger with it. "I gotta read the manual."
Red Ranger stumbles backwards, and when he gets his footing he fires at Hogs with his Dino Charge Morpher, but the shield proves to be impenetrable.
"Ha! Try shooting through this, Ranger!" Hogs taunted before shooting at his feet, knocking him into a wall and leaving a Red Ranger-shaped depression.
After reverting to Super Mega Red, Red Ranger pulls himself from the wall and dusts himself off. "Sounds like a challenge, scallywag!" Red Ranger said before holding up a model of the Skyship.
Silver Ranger just skewered a Krybot when he turns his head to Red Ranger. "What is that?" he wondered.
"Avast, Ultra Skyship Key!" Red Ranger announced as a red key pop out of the model Skyship's bottom. He inserts the ship into his Legendary Morpher and turns it. "Super Ultra Megaforce Mode, activate!" He thrusts his Legendary Morpher out, and it materializes the Super Megaforce Jolly Roger that splits into five. The skull enters Red Ranger, forming wide-shouldered chest armour resembling the bow of the Skyship.
"He's got his own Battlizer!" Silver Ranger pointed. As the rest of the Rangers combat the Krybots, the other pieces of the Jolly Roger goes to them.
Blue Ranger is granted a right-hand five-pronged claw, and he's surprised by the sudden weight put on him he stumbles forward slightly. "Woah, this is sick!"
As Green Ranger fires at a Krybot, he finds he shot it with a massive cannonball that launches it into a lamp post. He looks at his hand to see a double-barrelled cannon on his left arm. "Oh boy! Now we're talking!"
When Yellow Ranger is about to slash a Krybot, she finds her Sabers have disappeared, and now on her left foot is a gold boot with a missile rack loaded with four blades. "Works for me!" she said before kicking the Krybot, slashing it to pieces in one swing.
Pink Ranger just finished off a squad of Krybots and just realized her blaster is missing from her hand. "Where'd it go?" she wondered as she looks around for her missing blaster, initially unaware of the big cannon array on her right leg before she looks down. "Oh, cool!"
"Troy, what is this?" Silver Ranger turned to Red Ranger.
"This is Super Ultra Megaforce Mode! This is another thing I wanted to show ye!" Red Ranger told his friends.
"Y-you R-Rangers and y-y-y-your f-flashy t-toys!" Hogs stuttered, intimidated by their upgrade. He hides behind his shield and braces for impact.
"Fire in the hole!" Red Ranger extended his finger to Hogs. The small cannons on his armour charge up and fire a barrage of missiles that strike Hogs' shield, blowing a hole right through it.
"Aaaah!" Hogs screamed as he ditches what's left of the shield.
The rest of the Rangers come to Red Rangers' side and face down Hogs. "This Super Ultra Megaforce Mode is amazing!" Green Ranger told Red Ranger.
"Where'd you get it?" Blue Ranger asked.
"I made it with the help of Tensou. I missed Ultra Mode, so I made a new one." Red Ranger answered in his regular inflection.
Hogs gets up and licks his lips. "Well…" he slides a power bar on his Quantum Enhancer Arm to the max. "…Here goes nothing." He points his blaster arm at the Rangers as it charges up.
"Rangers, tis not be the end to the power of Super Ultra Mega!" Red Ranger holds out his Legendary Morpher and Ultra Skyship Key. He turns the sail like a secondary key and the deck splits into an X like the Jolly Roger on the Legendary Morpher. At that moment, the Rangers' Super Ultra Megaforce parts morph into energy balls that converge into Red Ranger, attaching themselves onto him.
"Woah, he's like a mini-Megazord!" Pink Ranger observed.
"A Minizord!" Green Ranger said before Yellow Ranger puts her hand on his shoulder.
"No, no, a Minizord's different." Yellow Ranger corrected. "He's the one that unlocks the Legendary Ninja Megazord."
"Wow, they're really chat- Woah!" Hogs commented before an energy ball shoots from his hand to Red Ranger, knocking the criminal backwards from the recoil.
"Super Ultra Mega Skyship Final Strike!" Red Ranger screamed as boosters on his back fire up. He's sent flying towards the energy ball and fires cannonballs from his left arm, destroying it before advancing towards Hogs. As the criminal braces himself, Red Ranger flies by and takes the arm off him. He throws it in the air where he slices it to pieces with his right arm and finishing the job by firing cannonballs from his right foot, ending Hogs' threat.
"A little bit excessive, don'cha think?" Hogs whimpered as Red Ranger's armour disappears.
"Send him to the brig!" Red Ranger commanded as he presses the button on his belt and brings out the Super Mega Cannon.
"Super Mega Cannon!" the team exclaims as they insert the S.P.D. Legendary Ranger Keys into the cannon. Red Ranger turns the Red S.P.D. Ranger Key and the rest all align. The Rangers hold onto his back and give him support as he locks onto Hogs.
"Ye be charged of robbery, possession of illegal black market goods, assault, and resisting Ranger arrest. How ye plead?" Red Ranger called out to Hogs as the targeting system locks on.
"Wait, wait, wait! We can talk about this, can't we?" Hogs pleaded as the clock make a full revolution, concluding with a giant red X.
"Guilty!" Red Ranger exclaimed before pulling the trigger.
"Super Mega Blast! Confinement Mode!" the team yelled before firing a spectral, golden Skyship at Hogs, disintegrating him before reforming him into an S.P.D. Confinement Card.
"I know this is better than the alternative, but you can't do this to me!" Hogs screamed as he bangs on the card.
The Rangers celebrate at their first victory in years, dancing and whooping as they hug each other. "So… where'd you come up with Super Ultra Megaforce?" Green Ranger asked Red Ranger.
"It was either that, or Super Duper Megaforce." Red Ranger spoke normally. "I got Ultra from our old Megaforce Ultra Mode."
"Wow… I almost forgot how exciting being a Ranger is." Pink Ranger said.
"All we need now is to take the Megazord for a spin." Green Ranger walks to the Confinement Card to pick it up. "With this guy sealed, I don't see how we can."
As they celebrate, black-suited Power Rangers with the S.P.D. badge arrive at the scene, armed with blaster rifles. "Ah, the constabulary, you're a little too late to the party!" Red Ranger approaches them as he takes Hogs from Green Ranger. "We took care of this bilge rat." He hands him over to the S.P.D. Red Ranger. "I'll leave the rest to ye."
The S.P.D. Red Ranger takes the card and pockets it. "Let's move." They spoke with a distorted voice before they all move along.
As Red Ranger walks back to his team, the town shakes again. Emerging from the sea is a water column that sculpts itself into humanoid form composed of ever-moving waves. It roars and unleashes a flood upon the town, causing the citizens to flee. "Where'd that thing come from?!" Pink Ranger wondered. She looks to Red Ranger, who froze as he silently stares at the monster. "Troy?" Pink Ranger motions to put her hand on his shoulder, but he grabs it hard. "Ow!"
"Troy, snap outta it!" Yellow Ranger said as she slaps Red Ranger's hand.
"What…?" Red Ranger said as he looked to Pink Ranger. "Oh, Emma, I'm so sorry."
"It's fine. Your reflexes are sharp as always." Pink Ranger rubs her wrist.
"Almost looked like your timers were shivered." Green Ranger pointed to Red Ranger.
"C'mon, let's take the Megazords for a spin!" Silver Ranger declared.
"I'm on-board with that." Red Ranger cackled with his pirate inflection as he flips out his Legendary Morpher. "5-5-0-1" is what he dials and from the Spaceport, the Super Mega Skyship moves in.
"Oh, 'on-board'! I get it!" Green Ranger laughs before the main five leap towards the ship.
"I'll be with ya guys soon!" Silver Ranger holds up the Quantum Ranger Key and inserts it into his Legendary Silver Morpher. "Summon Q-Rex Zord!" he presses the Quantum Ranger button thrice before confirming with the Robo Knight button. He extends his Morpher and it flashes a bright red light.
The Super Mega Skyship emerges from the clouds as the Power Rangers grapples themselves aboard. "All hands hoy! Weigh the anchor! Hoist the mizzen!" Red Ranger commanded as they get on board.
"What?" they all said simultaneously.
"Deploy the Zords!" Red Ranger repeated. The Megazord's deck opens up, and out come the Zords.
"Super Mega Wheeler!"
"Super Mega Sub!"
"Super Mega Racer!"
"Super Mega Jet!"
"Zords combine!" The Zords take flight and align themselves with the Skyship. The ship's rear wings fold inwards and the main mast folds down. Once the Racer and Jet Zords attach to the sides of the hull, the ship stands upright. The bow splits into shoulder-mounted cannons to reveal the Legendary Megazord's chrome visage. The legs extend from the aft and connect with the Sub and Wheeler Zords to form the feet. Inside the main cockpit, the Rangers take their place beside their leader, and the Megazord takes its iconic puts on its tricorne before swirling its twin cutlasses around.
"Legendary Megazord, ready!"
As the creature moves in to attack, the Q-Rex Drill enters the present from a time portal, drills into it, and knocks it away. "I see Time Force has been treating you well, old friend!" Silver Ranger said as he takes the helm. "Q-Rex Megazord, activate!" he inserts the Dino Thunder White Ranger Key into the helm and turns it.
The drills drives into the ground as the Zord turns upright. The main thrusters fold downwards to become the feet as they dig into the ground to stop the drill's movement. The Dinozord head folds out of its chest before it and the drill detach, then reattach to the shoulders, becoming arms. From the chest, the Megazord head emerges and extends its horns. "Q-Rex Megazord, ready!"
The Legendary Megazord touches down on the street to face its opponent, who thrusts its claws to shoot electricity at them. "Portside!" Red Ranger commanded as they all turn their helms to the right to dodge. "Be careful with this thing. It's flexible and can dodge our attacks like water!"
"How'd you know?" Blue Ranger asked.
"No time for questions!" Red Ranger insisted.
"Whatever you say, captain." Green Ranger saluted.
The creature extends its arms by two miles and starts flailing them at the Legendary Megazord like whips. The Legendary Megazord slashes at the arms as they come at it, when one of the arms wraps around the right cutlass. "Heave ho!" Red Ranger shouted.
The Legendary Megazord pulls its sword back, tugging the creature towards it. "Cleave 'em to the brisket!" With its free sword, it cuts the creature from its shoulder to abdomen until it lets go.
The creature falls to the street where it quickly flips itself up. It puts its hands together and stretches them out in a helical movement to the Legendary Megazord, when the Q-Rex Megazord gets in the way. It extends its drill and the creature's arms wrap around it. "Will it blend? Let's find out!" Silver Ranger spins his helms and the drill reels in the monster, spinning it around the drill before throwing it in the air.
"There's one more thing I wanna show you guys." Red Ranger produces a Legendary Key in the shape of the original Megazord, the same one that defended Angel Grove nearly two decades ago.
"Legendary Megazord Mode! Mighty Morphin!" Red Ranger and inserts the Key into the helm. In the Legendary Megazord's hand, an upscaled Legendary Megazord Key materializes, and flips it up. "Activating Battle Mode!" The Legendary Megazord thrusts it forth and the Mighty Morphin lightning bolt flashes, morphing it into the original Dino Megazord.
"This is so cool!" Yellow Ranger said.
"Talk about a late Throwback Thursday!" Pink Ranger added.
"Let's show Angel Grove a real classic!" Green Ranger said.
"Uh… I wonder if it's got good stereo." Blue Ranger said awkwardly.
"It does. I checked." Red Ranger looks down to Blue Ranger. "Power Sword!"
As the creature descends, a glimmer of light shines from space and coming down is the Power Sword, which pierces through the abdomen, accelerating its fall. After it crash lands, the Power Sword strikes the ground and the Megazord pulls it out with some effort. The Megazord circles it around its face, charging it with red energy before slashing the creature.
"Super Ultra Mega Rangers…" the Megazord turns away from the creature alongside the Q-Rex Megazord. "That's a Super Ultra Mega win!" the creature falls and explodes, providing an epic backdrop for an epic conclusion.
"That's how it's done in the good ol' days!" Green Ranger cheered as the team celebrates.
Below, the crowd cheers at their victory, happy to see a great symbol of their city defend it once more from evil. Watching this atop a building is the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger, who morphs back into Jason Lee Scott. "You did good, kids." He smiled.
Later above the Spaceport where the Skyship floats, Orion meets with his team. "Back in the saddle, and we still got it!" he cheered.
"Not to mention all that new stuff! I mean I had two cannons on one hand! Two cannons!" Jake pointed to his left arm excitedly.
"And that Megazord Key! Where did you get them?" Noah asked Troy.
"I had help from Tensou to make them. Fighting in space alone was hard, but the upgrades helped a whole lot." Troy answered.
"You wouldn't believe how hard it was to make them without Gosei." Tensou 3 added.
"If you have these upgrades, why do you wanna bring the team back together?" Noah asked.
Troy sighs and turns away from his team. "Space adventuring didn't feel the same without you guys." He said softly. "I…" he said before turning back to them. "I just plain missed you guys."
"If only there was a way we could join you while living our lives." Emma scratched her head.
"There is." Noah said for everyone to look at him. "We all have off days on the weekends, and we could go with Troy on some adventure!"
"That can work!" Orion clapped his hands.
"Our schedule's flexible, anyway." Gia puts her arms around Jake.
"I don't think my editor will mind, if I take Saturday off." Emma added.
"All you gotta do is to arrange a pick-up for us, and we're yours for the rest of the week." Noah suggested to Troy.
"That… sounds great." Troy smiled.
"Ay-yi-yi! The team's back together! Super Megaforce is back!" Tensou 3 squawked.
"Wanna come to the Levi Weston concert tonight? We've got tickets." Gia asked everyone.
"But we only have two tickets." Jake added.
"Actually, we're standing on a special pass right now." Troy smiled as he crosses his arms.
That night at a plaza, a concert is held when Levi Weston takes stage in front of hundreds of adoring fans. "Howdy, Angel Grove! Y'all ready for a hoedown?!" he yells to the crowd as he carries his guitar. The crowd cheers harder for Levi Weston, when a shadow looms over them. Levi looks up to see the Super Mega Skyship shining lights from its keel upon the concert. "Looks like we have some special guests! Give a round of applause to the Super Megaforce Power Rangers!" he gestures to the ship as the crowd cheers.
The Rangers stand at the bow to witness the concert, waving back at the crowd. "One heck of a seat, isn't it?" Troy told his friends.
"It really is." Jake said.
"According to the brochures, this place was where the 'I am a Power Ranger' rally took place almost twenty years ago." Orion informed them.
"When the evil conqueror Astronema demanded the Power Rangers, the people of Angel Grove offered themselves as the Power Rangers, giving the Space Rangers time to arrive and save the city." Noah elaborated.
"I like to think that they're right." Troy said.
"What do you mean?" Gia asked.
"The duty of a Power Ranger can fall on anyone. It sure happened to us all of a sudden. Who knows? Maybe someone in that same crowd did become one." Troy explained.
"Even Levi Weston?" Emma pointed to the musician as he begins his song.
Troy chuckles. "Even Levi Weston."
"Who wants some lum?" Tensou 3 came flying in, balancing a tray with a glass flip-top bottle and six drinking glasses on his head.
"Lum? What's that?" Jake raised his eyebrow.
"It's space soda made with asteroid bacteria, like kombucha. This one is apple flavoured." Troy poured a glass. "We brew it ourselves."
"Lum! I haven't had this in forever!" Orion excitedly takes a glass.
"Still." Noah said as he takes a glass. "Where did that water monster come from? That alien didn't mention it before."
"You looked pretty upset when you saw it." Emma told Troy.
Troy stays silent for a moment before taking a deep breath. "Let's worry about that another time. For now, let's enjoy this night together." he casually said as they focus on Levi Weston performing below.
Spying the Skyship from atop a building is a broad-shouldered silhouette with glowing red eyes alongside a monkey. "Yo-ho-hoy… Captain Troy…"
