Ch1: A curse for a curse
Sally lay resting; she had just given birth to her and Posidon's son Percy. This was a bittersweet moment for her knowing that Posidon's visits would have to end. He told her it had something to do with the ancient laws that all gods and goddesses we're bound to.
Sally wouldn't change the arrival of her son though to her he was perfect she couldn't help but think as she watched her son sleep peacefully grateful she had chosen to keep him in her hospital room remembering the only fight she and Posidon got into how she would have to keep Percy close at all times due to his sent or sent to Camp Half-blood where she likely never see him again.
Sally had just closed her eyes when a golden light filled the room so bright that it could be seen even with her eyes closed. Sally's breath hitched inside her as she saw who stood over her sleeping son. Amphitrite Queen of the sea and wife of her lover. What scared her the most though was the rage in her eyes, the pure unadulterated rage that brought down ships as if they were but paper boats on a rainy day and it was all directly focused on her son.
"My Lady I will not deny my transgression and I will humbly accept whatever punishment you deem fit, but please show my son mercy.", Sally begged hoping that she could bring whatever wrath Amphitrite would bring forward on her and not her baby boy.
"YOU DARE MORTAL!" Calming herself Amphitrite continued, "You dare! Ask me for mercy for your spawn! He should not exist. YOU SHOULD HAVE TURNED MY HUSBAND AWAY! For too long have I forgiven his little affaires. Perhaps now he will learn the price of humiliating me."
The next words Amphitrite spoke seemed to bring nothing, but darkness into Sally's heart as she could do nothing but listen as Amphitrite cursed Percy, "I place this curse forever more on your child Sally Jackson stone by day Gargoyle by night never to bathe in dawn's early light. Forever shall he bear this curse mortal. I will grant you the mercy you begged for, if your child is offered godhood and accepts my curse will become a blessing able to change between monster and god able to walk in the sun's rays once more."
As the curse started to take hold of her son Sally wept and prayed to any higher-being begging for help or revenge she wasn't quite sure anymore. Somehow feeling each gods and goddess's rejection to feel Posidon abandoning her and Percy killed what love she held for him. It wasn't till she heard a cold dark twisted voice that she knew her prayer had been heard and answered. Sally's eyes flashed gold as she snarled out, "A curse for a curse and a mercy for a mercy queen of the sea! Your son shall be made mortal cursed forever more by a mother's love, to be reborn as a hero to never remember immortal parents till the end of time. My only mercy is that when my son's curse is broken so too shall the curse on triton." Sally watched as Amphitriteflashed out with shielded eyes; she had no idea that her son's curse was indeed real. Sally laughed a crazed laugh when she noticed a sea green pearl was in her hand. She could feel the power and knowledge of Triton's godhood in it walking over to her son now a statue. Sally whispered to him with tears in her eyes somehow knowing he would hear her, "I'm so sorry sweetie momma failed you but I can at least protect and strengthen you for the hardships to come with that she shattered the pearl over her son and watched it seep in to her son before he vanished like a seabreeze. With that she began to make preparations to make her way to were camp half-blood would be Kronos would need a army and she knew that there would be plenty of loyal followers there with time and effort after all most demigods had terrible fates and worse parents in some cases she just need to show them a mother's love and convince them that this was why Kronos ate his kids he could see their cruel ways
Kronos laughed as he lay in a thousand peices the gods were fools. They had finally given him the key to his freedom: a scorned woman named Sally Jackson he had felt her hate for the gods; why it even rivaled his own. When her lover left her to face his niece on her own. She had pledged herself to him the moment he had made his presence known to her in return for the power to enact a curse for a curse.
While he had planned to use a demigod for a body this mother would do nicely. He had toyed with the idea of using the godling's power that had entered Tartarus to speed his rise. However something stopped him instead he placed it in the pearl and gave it to the mother to protect her son. He knew it was a risk but perhaps in time the boy would be useful in his army. Now he just had to sit back, and wait after all what was the passing of time to the Titan of time?
