Chapter 1:Waiting and More Waiting
A heliplane lands at Big Mountain Resort, where SSX boarders stay during the circuit. Five people step out of the plane, overloaded with luggage, ready for season 4. First to check in and put her baggage on a cart is Marisol, followed by Mac, Kaori, Moby, and last of the first boarders to arrive, Zoe. All of them wait in the lobby for the rest of the boarders to arrive. Marisol finds a chair with a good view of the door. Mac and Kaori sit on a love seat slightly away from the main area and casually chat. Zoe finds a comfortable looking chair and plops down into it. Moby takes the chair closes to it.
"What cha been up to, love?"
"Nothing. Didn't feel like Mountain Biking this Summer so I was pretty bored this off season. How about you?"
"Broke my arm mid BMX season so that blew my off season."
The conversation went on until the next heliplane arrive at the pad. The last of the boarders check in and take seats with friends. As soon as JP walk in the door and check in, Marisol immediately ran up, hug him, and started complaining about how bad the off season was with out him. Allegra and Elise stand around and talk with each other. Moby and Zoe exchange surprised looks.
"Did you know those two were friends?" Zoe ask hoping Moby knows something she doesn't.
"Nope, had no idea," Moby just as clueless ,"Hey, look here comes Pysmon."
With that Psymon put his bags on a cart, walked over and sat near the two. Zoe couldn't help stare while he did so, after he sat down, she caught herself and found a very interesting spot on the wall. Moby noticed this and spoke to avoid an awkward silence.
"How was your off season, mate?"
"It was great I finished in the top three for Canadian Mountain Biking and I destroyed a whole ton of shit," Psymon said with great excitement.
"Well, at least SOMEONE had a good off season," said Zoe, still interested in the spot on the wall.
