"Chris this is a stupid idea for a season." Chef crossed his arms as he talked to the one and only Chris McLean.

"Oh come on Chef!" Chris McLean groaned as he talked to his co-host, "Viewers love watching crazy stuff like this happen!"

"No! No more 'crazy stuff'! In case you forgot, last time you did stuff like that, it sent our show's ratings into the toilet! Even before that, your little stunt with Ezekiel ended up costing us the chance to host for that other season of Total Drama because you were being sued by his family!" Chef shouted at Chris, "Or did you forget that happened?"

"I'm well aware of what happened with Ezekiel," Chris rolled his eyes, "You think I don't have to worry about other former contestants suing me ever since his family won that trial? This season will prove that I can handle the toughest of the tough, inside their own little hellhole!"

"Chris…" Chef spoke with a worried tone, "That prison isn't natural, hell, an intern set someone on fire while they were there… And now you want to send fourteen criminals there!? It's insane is what it is!" Chef pinched his nose as Chris rolled his eyes.

"You don't get it, Chef. The people want a crazy dangerous season," Chris held out a photo of the prison, "Who am I to stop them from giving them the most dangerous reality show known to man?"

"If the prison is possibly haunted and may end up getting someone killed. That's what's stopping you!" Chef sighed, knowing he wasn't gonna talk sense into Chris.

"Oh come on, we'll have everything under control, besides, there are rumors that some of the prisoners we've already picked out are innocent." Chris smirked, "I'll even go to the prison to prove that it's fine!"

"I have a really bad feeling about this…" Chef gritted his teeth as Chris suggested going off to the prison alone.

"It'll be fine…" Chris shrugged, "What could happen?"

Chris walked through the lonely halls of Hope's Lament prison, there wasn't a single sign of life in the building… just dead silence and Chris' footsteps.

"I knew this place wasn't actually haunted," Chris rolled his eyes as he prepared to leave the prison, "One insane intern doesn't prove anything."

"Chris… McLean…" Chris bolted up as he thought he heard a voice echoing through the hallway of the prison wing he was in.

"Did someone say my name?" Chris gulped as he started to fast walk out of the prison wing, he turned around a corner of the hallway and… ended up back at the other end of the hallway.

Chris repeatedly tried to run out of the hallway, but it was no use, no matter where he went he would constantly end up in the opposite end of the hallway, he was trapped.

"Ok Chris… don't panic…" Chris' teeth chattered as he tried to come up with a way to escape the hallway, "You can just call for some interns or Chef to pick you up!" Chris pulled out his phone and started to dial Chef, he started to feel sick to his stomach as he began to call Chef.

Before Chris could call Chef, his hand suddenly smacked the phone onto the floor and then slapped him across the face. "W-what the hell?" Chris punched himself straight in the stomach, knocking him to the floor.

"Chris McLean!" The voice called out as Chris threw himself into a wall, there was a loud wind echoing throughout the hallway as the host was hitting himself. "You…" The voice menacingly rang throughout Chris' ears, "You will be the perfect host for me…"

"What do you mean by hos-" Chris covered his own mouth before he could finish, "Shhhh, the others do not want to be disturbed during their slumber…"

Chris struggled to even breathe as his own hand covered his mouth, he let out muffled screams before finally passing out on the ground.

An ominous cackle echoed throughout the hallway, Chris suddenly jolted upwards and dizzily walked around. "It's been so long since I've had a functioning body…" Chris' voice was now raspy so he coughed a fair bit to fix it. "There we go…" Chris picked up his phone and called Chef.

"Hello?" Chef answered.

"You see?" Chris gave an 'I-told-you-so' voice, "Everything here is normal!"

"I still don't think it's a good ide-"

"Well, it's too late for what you think because I've already decided that I'm gonna call in some interns to start setting everything up." Chris rudely hung up the phone and threw it away, "I wonder how you developed?" Chris looked at his arms, "Your power seems to be hidden still." Chris laughed to himself, "That or someone like yourself is so useless they don't develop at all!"

"Either way…" Chris fixed up his hair and checked for any bruises, "I know one of those contestants will have the power I want…" Chris walked out of the hallway, "And I'll they'll become my new host… by any means necessary…"
