Morning Stroll

Remus rolled over in his bed and took a glance at the alarm clock, 5:37, it read. Remus growled at the clock for showing him that he had woken at such an ungodly hour, but never the less, Remus threw the covers off himself, stood, and stretched, for Remus was not one to laze around after he had awoken, once his eyes were open, he would not sleep again until night. Remus went into the bathroom and rinsed off his face. Deciding he was not hungry, he bypassed the kitchen and went strait to the sliding glass doors that lead to the backyard. Remus stepped outside and took a deep breath; the air was already a little warm and humid, as it was mid-August. Remus wandered a bit, into the garden, taking each bright color of the flora. Remus continued down the sloping property coming to the last burning embers leftover from last night. Remus looked back up to the house; no one would be awake for at least another hour. Remus thanked Merlin that he would finally get some solitude. Sharing a house with James, Sirius, and Lily, had proved more crowded and noisy then Remus had originally perceived. Remus wandered on for a bit more before heading back up to the patio. Curling up in a chair Remus began to ponder this summer. There had been so much fun, or so it seemed to Remus, he hadn't really taken part in the fun, he had too much on his mind, it was not about school, or his lycanthropy or anything that one might expect, no, what had Remus all confused, was Sirius. Remus had always cared for him as a friend but in this past year his feelings had begun to change, suddenly he was looking at Sirius in a new light, a light that a guy should never see his best mate in. It angered Remus that he could not figure this out. Just as the sky began to turn pink with the dawning light, Remus realized that no matter how strong Remus felt for Sirius, he could never act upon it, Sirius could never know. The doors behind Remus slid open, revealing to Remus that he was not the only awake; he turned only to be met by a frowning Sirius.

"Something wrong Padfoot?" Remus inquired.

"No, Moony, I just thought I would be the only one up, you just-surprised me, that's all, mind if I join you?" Sirius asked. Remus shook his head and motioned for Sirius to sit. Sirius obliged, sitting across from Remus. After a few minutes of comfortable silence, Remus looked over to Sirius, catching Sirius staring at him intently; Sirius quickly averted his eyes, hoping that Remus did not notice, but he did.

"Sirius, are you sure there's nothing I could help you with?" Remus asked, hoping that Sirius felt comfortable enough to speak with Remus about whatever was bothering him.

"Well, um, yeah, I guess you could help me with something," Sirius replied, raising his eyes to meet Remus', Remus motioned for him to elaborate, "see the thing is, I know this person who has a bit of a crush one their best friends, and he doesn't know what to do about it, what should that person do?" Remus looked up to Sirius, "well id they've felt that way for a long time I guess they should go for it, okay?"

"Yeah, Remus?" Remus looked up to Sirius, his face turning to one of shock when he felt Sirius' lips upon his own. When Sirius pulled away he breathed on word, "Thanks."

"No problem," Remus said quietly to Sirius' back as Sirius left the patio, Remus supposed this had solved all of her problems and headed back inside with a smug smile placed upon his lips, Remus began making breakfast for everyone in the house hold.
