Hey, in my other story "The Winds of Change", I accidentally submitted this prologue for another one of my stories (a.k.a, this one). Since I got so many good reviews for it, I thought "Why not submit it also?" So, without further adieu, I give you my post "Birthmark" fanfiction... (insert drum roll) Latin Secrets! (Cheering)
Latin Secrets
Chapter 1
Prologue
Her cloak and purple hair were blowing in the wind. She sat on top of the tower, looking out at the magnificent ocean in front of her, sloshing against the rocks and sandy shore. It had been her home for three years. Hanging with her friends, fighting for the city, arguing over what kind of pizza to get; three wonderful years she would never want to forget. And yet, with all the recent happenings, she feared it would all be coming to an end.
She didn't notice the door to the roof opening behind her, nor the light footsteps coming towards her. She did, however, notice when a soft hand rested on her shoulder.
"Beautiful, huh?"
"Mmm-hm."
The purple haired girl turned to see a pair of shining blue eyes staring at her. She pointed smiling slightly.
"Um, Robin, I think you forgot something."
"Huh-oh, no. I just decided not to put it on yet. I mean, it's only 5 am."
Raven giggled.
"Why are you up this early anyway?"
She smirked. "I was about to ask you the same question."
Robin smiled at her. "I asked you first."
"Well, I just didn't feel like sleeping."
Robin sat down next to her and pulled his legs up to his chest. "So your mental alarm clock went of a little earlier than usual."
"You could say that."
The two of them laughed a little and turned back to the ocean.
"You didn't answer my question." Raven remarked starting her colleague.
"I needed to take a break."
She eyed him. "From what."
"Well, um-"
"Robin..."
He sighed and cast his eyes down. "The usual."
"Robin, you are so obsessive! Looking for that monster nonstop is going to drive you to insanity..." She added quietly "again."
"Raven." He put his arm around her and lay his head against her. "I made a mistake. A huge one. I understood that I went to far. It won't happen again, I promise."
She nodded and leaned back against him, then shivered.
"Why don't we go inside?"
"Okay." They got up and walked to the stairs, un ware that someone was watching them.
A masked figure rose from the side of Titan's Tower on a pillar of fire. He laughed to himself as he watched the two teens shut the door behind them. "It's time for another little chat, princess."
Heh, that was shorter than I thought...So, you liked it? You didn't like it? I don't know, that's what reviews are for! Right...?
