The Daughter of the Moon : A new Beginning

Chapter 1 : Rebirth (Elsa)

It has almost been a year since I became the fifth spirit. Anna and I send messages to each other all the time. Gale is always bringing letters back and forth between us. Ever since Anna became Queen of Arendelle she's been working hard to help the people in any way she can. I haven't seen her in ages. Her and Kristoff's wedding to be exact. If not for Honeymarin and the other Northuldra I would be lonely and bored out of my mind.

"Hey Elsa!" Honeymarin yelled running towards me, "Want to go out riding with me?" She beamed and I smiled back.

Just then a humongous tremble knocked us off our feet. An Earthquake? Was it the Giants?

"Are the Giants moving again?" Honeymarin asked exactly what I was thinking.

"No..." I pause, somehow this feels different. "This is something else. But what could it be? Another rumble knocked a tree over and it landed on top of Honeymarin, trapping her. I kneel down beside her and try to pull her out but she is really stuck.

Another earthquake knocks over another few trees. Suddenly the sun disappears behind thick, grey storm clouds. Another tremble, this time accompanied by a deafening clash of thunder. Something is terribly wrong!

"Hold on Honeymarin. I'll try to move this tree." I said and placed my hands underneath the thick trunk. One...Two...Three. I heave with all my might but the tree just wouldn't budge. Come on, come on!. "Gale!" I call out. Maybe if Gale the wind spirit helped lift the tree it would move just enough for Honeymarin to slide out. Just as I was about to call out again a strong gust of wind picked me and plopped me back down playfully.

"Gale, help me lift this up will you?" I ask in a hurry. Gale chirps and I try lifting the tree again. This time with the help of the wind the trunk lifted just enough for Honeymarin to pull herself out from under it. "Gale, can you look after her please? I need to go see what's going on." I say. Gale chirps back a response and I take off running.

1 year later

I am cold and wet and it is so dark. I am lonelier than ever. What happened? Where am I?

"Elsa? Elsa, are you awake? Elsa, can you hear me?" Someone was calling to me. It was a man's voice. Deep and soft and comforting, and oddly familiar. I slowly turn my head to the side. Ow! My neck hurts so much. I can't hold back my moan. I open my eyes and am temporarily blinded. It's so bright. I blink a few times to help my eyes adjust. A man was leaning over me. He had white hair and a pale complexion. Oddly enough it looked like he was glowing.

"Who are you?" I ask. The man smiles at me and kneels down beside me. My back is cold and wet and I realise that I'm lying on the snowy forest floor.

"My name is Mani, Elsa. Some people also know me as Man in Moon." He pauses as I sit up. I grunt at the effort required. It feels like I've been lying here for a year.

"How do you know my name?" I ask, confused.

"Well, you see Elsa, I'm your father." He says. What! How can he be my father?

"My Father was Agnar Oldenburg." This guy must be crazy.

"No Elsa, I'm not crazy. Agnar was your human father. Most of your magical power and soul came from me." He said hopefully.

"But what happened? Why am I lying in the snow?" I ask.

"Elsa a year ago the Enchanted forest was attacked by elemental pirates. In order to save everyone you sacrificed your own life to stop them." Mani, my supposed father said with caution in his eyes waiting to see how I would respond to this news.

"I-I died?" My voice hitched on the last word. If what he says is true then I must be in heaven. Or maybe hell.

"No Elsa, you did not go to the afterlife." What? "I brought you back to life. Now you are Elsa the snow queen, cupid, daughter of the moon, princes of the stars and The warper of reality." He said.

Somehow I knew I could trust him. Even though he may be a bit weird there is something comforting and familiar about him.

"Here, I have something for you. It will help you control your powers." My powers but I already know how to control my powers. He lifts up my hand and slides a silver charm bracelet onto my wrist. The charms were of a snowflake, a heart, a moon, a crown and a planet.

"Umm, Dad?" He beamed when he heard me call him that.

"Yes?" He prompted.

"Where's Anna?" I ask looking around.

"It would be best if you don't go see her. She thought you died last year and now because you're immortal, you will be stuck at the same age while she grows old."

"Oh." I sighed disappointed.

"But, I would like you to meet your brothers." Just then, two boys that look to be about two years older than me appeared behind Mani. One had black hair and black clothes while the other one looked almost identical but had brown hair and red clothes. They must be twins.

"Hi?" I said shyly, not sure of how to act. Both of them chuckled at my awkwardness.

"Hey Els! I'm Pitch and this is Andrew." The one with black hair said.

"Hi." Said Andrew. What am I supposed to do?

"I need to go, but I'll see you when the moon comes up." Said Mani as he disappeared. The sun was almost over the horizon now.

"So, you are my b-brothers?" I stuttered.

"You have no idea how much we wanted to tell you. But the old man wouldn't let us." Said Andrew.

For the rest of the day we bonded. Andrew loved to tease me but Pitch always had my back.

I may have lost Anna, but at least I have my brothers with me.
