Chapter 1: Thinking

Zoom! Boom! Schew!

A blue blur blasted past the grasslands, a trail of torn up grass trailing behind it as it zipped through the land, eventually making it through a desert area with a large dust cloud following behind it before they made it through a jungle area, bouncing around the trees like a pinball. It zipped itself over a beach area, finally stopping at a cliff and giving us a good look at the male blue anthropomorphic hedgehog.

Standing tall, he had 6 long spikes that reached to his tail and curled a little at the ends, 2 stacked together and hanging more on the side of his head, 1 hanging above them and 1 one below it. Although non visible, there were 2 smaller spikes attached to his back. He had emerald green eyes, showing a fierce but energetic look to them. His arms, an area around his lips and his chest area were all a light tan skin color. He wore white gloves, with red straps and red sports sneakers that had a gold buckle and white strip. He also wore a brown satchel and scarf hanging from his neck.

Sonic the Hedgehog, hero of the Multiverse and resident blue speedster of Earth. He looked out into the blue sea, tipping himself slightly over the cliff, but not far enough to fall off. With his signature smirk, he looked at his watch with pride, flashing with his latest achievement.

Sonic: "Woo hoo! New record!"

He took a head start and booked it across the lands again, traveling back through the jungles, the desert and finally reaching back to the grasslands before he eventually stopped at a small shack, a small wind wave glazing over it. Grinning, the hedgehog stretched a little before going up the porch to the door, looking at the metal container under the porch light. A white letter with a pink heart stamped next to the address was inside. Curious, but cautious, he picked it up and took it inside.

When he walked in, he tossed the letter on the counter before he checked his shoes for and fixed any damage, double checking them before putting them back on and tapping the tip on the floor, readjusting to it. After he was satisfied with their condition, he walked over and opened the letter, reading it carefully.

"Dear Sonic,

It is I, your one true love, Amy Rose!

I know you're probably really busy saving the world and whatnot. After all, being a Hero is hard work. But I just had to write you!

I'm moving from Station Square to travel to France!

Ahh, the city of love~

Shame you can't be here, or maybe you will! After all, you do travel just about everywhere.

Tee hee, maybe you'll come just to see me~

But anyways, I'm not gonna be there as a tourist sadly. I have a very important presentation to attend to with Cream and Vanilla so we can extend our flower and bakery business to the whole world! Obviously, we need investors and other business stuff you don't need to worry about, so we're traveling to different places. Hooray! I'm so nervous, but excited! So wish me luck on that!~

But… a small part of me hopes we fail, since I'll be too busy to come and see you… it's so selfish…

But… a big part of me hopes we succeed. And an even bigger part of me feels so nervous. Ah, I already mentioned that right? Well, anyway, I'm gonna do my best! That's what you'd tell me to do, right? Because that's what you do too.

Sorry for thrusting this all on you, but I just wanted to let you know in case you don't see me as often.

Well, I guess that's it for now. Goodbye for now Sonic, my handsome hero!

From, Rosy the Rascal~

XOXO"

Sonic just chuckled at the alias before putting the notes away in the letter. He jumped into his hamper, getting comfortable before sighing. But as he tried to get comfortable, he just felt something nagging at him. But what?

…Wait, was he really that bugged that he wouldn't see Amy as often? Or what… if not at all? Sure he didn't always like her extreme display of affection but he still enjoyed her company from time to time.

No way! It's Amy! The more distance the better! Now he doesn't have to look over his shoulder anymore looking… out for her. Yeah, but she'd try to make some time to hunt him again!... right?

But the more he thought about it, the more he realized that he never really thought about the possibility of her not being around anymore. Could he really say he would be happy without her around? Or her not wanting to be with him anymore?

To be honest, he never was good with the relationship thing. It always felt so weird and constricted, ESPECIALLY the romantic ones. He never liked it. But when it came to certain people, he wasn't always opposed to it, despite his actions.

Okay, say he was fine being in a… romantic relationship, what then? Could he really settle down? Raise a family, get a job, get a house, the whole shebang? Is that even what he wanted? Sonic never even considered having his own little runners…

So then… why didn't it sound so bad? I mean, yeah it'd be hard, but, could he really handle it? Or even enjoy it? He did have a passing thought or two about it, but mostly shrugged it off.

Heh, him and Amy raising kids together. The thought made him chuckle, but it also made him feel a little warm.

Sonic: "...Nah, it wouldn't happen. At least… not now."

Sonic started laughing. Why was he so worried? He didn't really have to think about it so hard, if the time came, he would welcome it. But for now, he'd do what he did best, what he wanted and when he wanted. Though, he should probably start visiting Amy more. And maybe, just maybe, take her on a date or two.

Sonic: "Haha, ha, she'd like that a lot."

Sonic had no qualms about his decision, so he grabbed a soda and lazily laid in his hamper, slowly snoozing the day away. Or, at least attempted to but of course, there were some explosions heard from the next town over. Sighing, but grinning, Sonic finished the soda, tightened his shoes and took a running stance outside his shack.

Sonic: "Next adventure, here I come!"

Laughing, Sonic booked it to the next town, blasting a large wave of air behind him as he did so, creating a sonic boom heard even from the forest.

To Be Continued!

A/N: Well, that certainly was… interesting eh?

Yeah I know, it was bad but honestly, that was the best flow I could come up with when it came to Sonic and those topics. He doesn't outright ignore them, but also doesn't dismiss the idea(s).

Anyways, I'll try to release the new chapters as soon as I can so till then, I'd like you guys to give me some constructive criticism and your thoughts on it! Thanks!
