This story began in the city of Domino. Anzu Mazaki was walking to school, like any other day. There had been reports of strange murders going on lately though, yet for some reason it wasn't bothering Anzu. Her short little friend Yugi had just tagged along with her on her day. "So, how is everything, Yugi?"Anzu asked. Yugi smiled. "Fine, but aren't you one bit worried about that murderer though?" He asked. Anzu shook her head. "No, I really think they are making such a big deal, I mean, I'm sure they'll capture the killer." She said. "Well, I'm sure worried. Who knows, one of us could be their next target." Yugi said. Though, the spikey-haired boy was absolutely right. Infact, this was another way that the story had began.

That night, Anzu noticed that she was out of cat food for her cat. So, she got up, slipped on her coat, and walked out of the house into the cool air of an autumn night. "Well, here I go." She said. She began to walk down her quiet, empty street. She was a little troubled by the sight that no one was around. Normally, there was always atleast one person on her street at night. So, she walked a little faster. Anzu became a little more aware of murderers after what Yugi had said that morning, and to her relief, she was able to see the lightcorner pharmacy in the distance. So, quickly, Anzu ran toward the store.

Little did she know, lurking in the bushes was something very terrifying, waiting for her to come out of the store. Anzu felt a huge burst of relief the minuted she walked into the store. The clerked smiled and waved at her. "Good evening Ms. Mizaki." He said. Anzu waved back and walked toward the pet aisle. To her suprise, in the next aisle was Seto Kaiba. Kaiba? What is he doing here? Anzu thought to herself. "Uh..." Anzu was only able to say and then just stared. Seto glared over at her. "Kaiba...what are you doing here?" She asked. "What does it look like?" Seto asked. "Well, you're the last person I'd expect to see at such a cheap store." Anzu said.Seto looked away, slightly blushing. Anzu leaned forward, and seemed to be awaiting a response from the blue eyed CEO. "Kaiba, you're not really here to shop are you..." Anzu asked.

Seto then turned around to face Anzu. "Well, you see, I uh..." He said hesitantly. Then, with a slight burst of anger, he turned back around. Anzu grabbed a can of cat food and walked back to the clerk's counter. "Have a great night, Anzu." The clerk said, exchanging the cat food for the three dollars and fifty cents that Anzu handed him. "Thank you. You too." Anzu said as she walked out the door. In the darkness of the streets, Anzu suddenly felt that nervousness come back. "Okay Anzu, you're going to be just fine...you'll make it home...just stay cool..." She said to herself. Anzu took a deep breath and walked home.

Still lurking in the bushes was shadowed figure. Suddenly, it leaped out and charged after Anzu. At this sound, Anzu immidiately looked behind her at something large and vicious-like. Her eyes widened with terror and she screamed for help. In seconds, the creature got hold of her. Anzu was struggling like crazy and the monster only gripped tighter on her arm. Luckily, Seto was watching the whole time and he ran toward the monster. Anzu closed her eyes trying not to look at the monster, but suddenly felt it loosing it's grip, until it had no hold of her at all. Anzu opened her eyes and saw Seto pulling a large chain around the monster.
