Disclaimer: I do not own InuYasha, or any cows (but someday I will…not)
Authors note: Totosai's cow (who I have named Barry…still don't know why) is the inspiration for my screen name. It's the reason I love cows. And Hatsuharu is the reason why I really, really love cows. Alas Haru is not in this one shot story.

Barry grazed on the grass still wet from the morning dew. This is his favourite time of day, Totosai is still asleep and therefore not making a bunch of noise. What Barry didn't know is that the old man had passed away in his sleep last night.
Towards noon he knew something was amiss. He paced back and forth in the field before walking into his master's house. By the smell he could tell Totosai had expired. Barry went back outside and paced again. Then he flew away.
After several hours of circling in the air he spotted a group of people walking below. Flying in a little closer he recognized them as InuYasha and gang. He right landed in front of them.
"Hey, what's up Cow?" asked Inu (he doesn't know his name is Barry, no one does) "Where is Totosai?" Barry tugged on Inu's sleeve and lowered his head. "I said where is Totosai?" asked Inu again.
"InuYasha, cows can't talk." Said Miroku "We just have to follow him…or something."
Back at the house again, InuYasha only needed to sniff the air to know what happened. "Well he lived a full life, everyone has to go eventually." He muttered "Thanks for telling us Cow, you're welcome to join if you wish." Barry shook his head and flew away.
Barry followed the setting sun. He didn't know or care where he was going, he just flew. He went over the sea and over China. He was flying over India where he saw another herd of cows. They weren't demons, but he was getting lonely.
He landed and began to graze on the foreign grass. The rancher spotted him and ran to tell his friends. They took Barry to the nearest Hindutemple where the monk looked over it and declared that it must be a gift from the Gods. He declared that no Hindu should ever eat beef from this point foreword.
Of course, Barry had no idea what was going on. He was put back in the field where he lived happily ever after…after he got used to all the tourists that is.
