It was a winter night in Konoha as the navy blue sky was clear and filled with stars and a full moon, a man wearing a cloak sat on the rooftop of the academy staring at the stars. This man had pale colored skin illuminated by the light of the full moon; his raven black hair shadowed his eyes. The cloak he wore shined in the light of the full moon. The women beside him wore a black cloak and long boots that couldn't be seen in the dead of night. She had long red hair to mid-back that glistened in the moon light, her eyes a emerald color also glistened due to the light of the moon and her joy of being with him.
The man looked to the women by his side and smirked "It's been what four years since we've been married?" He asked looking back to the stars. He closed his eyes waiting for the silent women to reply to his question.
The women smiled "Yes, it has been four years, love." She whispered looking at the moon "and what a night for it to be" She sat up smiling "Reminds me the night you asked my hand, with the exception of the rain" She whispered again this time a little softer "and to think soon we'll have a third member" She gently held her stomach smiling.
The man looked at her and smiled for the first time in awhile "Yes, Koku and new member to the family my son no, our son" He sat up as well looking at her his eyes being uncovered to a ebony black shine as he watched her.
Koku looked at the man and smiled "Yes Sasuke our son and that will never change" She whispered again kissing him gently on the cheek.
Sasuke smiled and stood up on the roof and put down his hand for her to take, she took it without hesitation as he pulled her up off the roof to her feet. "Maybe we should go home?" Sasuke suggested as the moon and stars started to disappear as a little reddish hew started on the horizon.
Koku shook her head gently "No, Sasuke can we stay and watch the sunrise?" she asked looking at him with those eyes that had caught him the first time and did many times after.
Sasuke nodded "Fine, We will this one time" he sat down holding her close smiling just thinking of his future with this women and the new child that's on the way.
Koku smiled leaning into his hold smiling up at the sky that was getting brighter slowly, the clouds looking a bloody red on the bottom. "You know the stories Koku the times the clouds looked like this was times of war" he sighed and looked at her gently his eyes looking as though they could see threw her.
Koku smiled at him and nodded "Yes, Sasuke I do" She whispered into his ear "and why bring it up?" She asked quietly a little worried on what he was going to say but she kept that smile there.
Sasuke looked at her unsure on how to say this, He took a deep breath and closed his eyes taking her chin between his fingers and making her look at him "Koku, What I mean to say is there is a war brewing in the Konoha-Gakura area, and me as a Anbu member I have my duty to protect the villagers-" Sasuke was cut off by Koku';s lips pressing against his.
Sasuke's eyes widened seeing tears stroll down her cheeks she pulled away slowly and buried her face into his chest holding him tightly "I-I understand…" She choked out in sobs "Y-You won't be here for the birth of your son…. I-It's okay I understand…" She sobbed out again.
Sasuke stroked her back "I'll try and be back but I can't promise Koku it'll be okay you'll get threw this…" He whispered and continued to stroke her back.
