Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing okay! This poem was inspired by a scene in the very first episode of YuGiOh, a conversation between Joey and Kaiba. I almost cried when I heard those lines. It was heart-wrenching, well, for me anyway! Read on!

Disclaimer: If I owned YuGiOh then Bakura would be in every episode. Nuff said.

Do you remember Blue Eyes, the day you tossed friendship away?

When they tried to make conversation, but you had nothing but hurtful words to say?

We mourn for the loss you created when you uttered that phrase.

And begged you to show a hold on opportunity, and falter in your icy, cold gaze.

Joey said: "Are you into Duel Monsters too, Kaiba? That's perfect!

Maybe we could all play together sometime!" But you blew him off like he was a reject!

You replied, icily, never halting that cool exterior, the words that cruel, how could you dare?

To say: "Me duel you? I would have more of a challenge playing solitaire!

You wouldn't last two minutes in a duel with me!" You were so utterly idiotic!

To throw away that chance, you must have been so amazingly psychotic!

He offered you friendship, but you flipped him off like he was a third rate duelist!

How the hell could you, it's not like he was below you; you were never the coolest!

You called him a mutt, a mongrel, a lowly dog, and pathetic duelling monkey.

But in being so god damn egotistical you rejected the offer that would have changed your destiny!

But I know the answer, so clear it lies before my eyes, and now I will tell you!

Those lies about them being beneath you? Sure; you're egotistical, but what you said wasn't true!

What is true is the fact that you, the supposedly calm Seto Kaiba, are afraid of friends!

Because the day you get allies, that is when the barrier you have put up ends!

No more hiding away, protected from the harsh and cold words of others.

But wouldn't it be better to have kind and supporting words from a mouth other than your brother's?

To have friends to support you, help you get relief from the working life?

Friends to share the pain with, and release your woes; all of your strife!

But no, you refused their neutral aspect, turning it against your figure.

Sure, you are richer, smarter, more successful, but when it comes to heart, Yugi's is far bigger.

Is the great Seto Kaiba scared? Now we know you are, and you can't hide!

Now that I have exposed the true way that you really, desperately feel inside!

So suck up your pride, but I fear it is too late to mend this break in your tie with the gang.

And I didn't really think that in your arrogance you'd even try, so I will leave you with your aching pang.

God, that was really emotional for me to write. I remember those words so clearly, and how Kaiba just flipped Joey off like that, and ruined his chance at friendship. Anyway, enough ranting. Thanks:

Ongaku no Tenshi –Woah, you reviewed a lot! Yeah, it is a rather sad poem but in my opinion this one is even sadder! I am so glad it fits him. Yeah, poor little Seto. Chapter two made you cry a little? Aw, that is so sweet! It was a really sad song wasn't it? I am just psyched that you think I have amazing talent, thank you so much for that comment! You don't need to envy my writing talent, you could write something just as good if you wanted to! Yep, Seto has one of the saddest YuGiOh lives, and writing a happy poem is pointless, because nothing happy really ever happens to him, it is just one failure after another, really. Yugi's Light Keeps Me Pure –Of course I will write another chapter, and another chapter and more chapters after that! I love writing poetry, and I am trying to make this as long as my fic of Bakura poems, which is like 45 chapters now! Wow, you feel sorry for Kaiba? Cool, thanks for reviewing!

Mariku-san –Aw, you are sick? Well, I really hope you get better, you are one of my fave reviewers, so I don't want to see you sick! It is alright, I forgive you for not updating; heck, I haven't updated one fic in nearly a month, the 'When YuGiOh Characters Go Mad' reviewers are gonna kill me! But when it comes to humor I have really long writer's blocks. Oh, don't die! NO, don't die Mariku! Take me instead Ra! MEEEE! (Dies and you are brought back to life again) Anyway, here's a YuGiOh plushie to cheer you up! (Hands you a plushie of your fave character) and a box set of every YuGiOh episode ever made! It would really be an honor for you to write something for me? Wow… Well, if there are going to be pairings, they would have to be yaoi pairings, and I don't want the girls to be in it. Um, Bakura and Ryou are good characters, or else Seto, Mokuba, Noah, Joey, Marik, Malik. Basically the Yami's and Hikari's and the Kaiba bros. If you want to know what pairings, I only like it when Hikari is paired with Yami, and Seto with either Joey, Mokuba or Noah. But I don't want you to write it until you feel better okay?
