Mike Specter was the son of the most well known Lawyer in New York city and his wife Donna Paulson-Specter, he was always getting trouble in school and smoking weed, with his best friend Trevor since he was in Kinder-garden. Harvey and Donna didn't know what his latest antics that the 12 year old was up to. He had so many tricks up his sleeve that Mike wanted to be a Lawyer like his dad but since he was behaving like this and getting into trouble a lot in school his father couldn't see him succeeding in to the future like him. The 12 year old was lazy didn't do his homework like he should be, be he was extremely clever and aced every quiz test that he was given in school but refused to his homework on time and always had an attitude towards his parents and teachers.

"Hey, sleepy head get out of bed now! Breakfast is ready and I'm not calling you anymore, I'm going to be late for work." Harvey threw some told water on his son's bed, on a Sunday morning Mike was having a lazy day and Harvey wasn't having none of it.

"What the? Dad you can't do that! Mom! No way you can clean this up. It's the middle of the summer vacation, there's no school why?" Mike sat up in his luxurious bed after his dad gave him the wake up call he hated.

Harvey and Donna stayed in Harvey's condo in New York, got married and had Mike. Harvey still ran Specter, Litt, Wheeler Bennett and it was the biggest firm in New York city today if you needed a lawyer everyone came to the firm, sometimes they lost a case but eighty percent of the time they won cases. Donna was still the COO of the company and Mike most of the time came to the firm to do his homework either in Donna's office or in his father's office.

"Why did you wake me up with cold water?!" Mike came out of his room with clean pyjamas on and sat on the bar with Donna giving him pancakes and juice for breakfast.

"Have you seen what time it is Mikey? I swear you're not like any other 12 year old in New York City." Harvey huffed.

"I am allowed to have my lie in dad, aren't you and mom? I mean come on it's not like you do anything in the bedroom with her." Donna smirked at Harvey knowing her kid was clever.

"I'm not saying anything... I can tell you're upset Mikey, but unfortunately when you're living in this house you live under our rules." Donna said as she drank her coffee.

"Where's the strawberry sauce it's bland." As Mike got up and got the strawberry sauce on his pancakes.

Donna gasps.

"See Harvey, you see that? Apparently MY pancakes are bland, okay that's why you mister need to get out of bed in the mornings and make your own little breakfast, and get your little ass out of bed." As Harvey laughed into his coffee mug.

"That's my son." Harvey called out.

"You're taking his side?!" Donna called out.

"Exactly! Thanks dad." Mike said.

"No, no, I agree with your mother. You are going to start making your Breakfast each morning now you're getting a big boy now." Harvey agreed with Donna.

"Awww, come on! I don't even know how to make pancakes let alone how to cook." Mike defended.

"We'll teach you how to cook, Mike we are not home most of the time, because we are both working and you're growing up and you need to stop being lazy and I mean it. In a couple of months you're going to 13 a teenager, me and mom aren't going to be here forever, and neither is grandma and grandpa. So if you want to succeed in life like me and your mom. You need to get your butt in gear and wake up because this not how me and mom became successful, and taught you how to become your own human being, just because we wiped your ass as a kid doesn't mean we can do it forever. Yes we are your parents but we can't do it forever Michael Gordon... Just because you got the luxurious life well let me tell you... this is not how we got it by sitting on your ass all day playing on the playstation with Trevor, Dan and Ashley and especially Tammy. And I hope that cup of cold water woke you up too because I'll keep doing it each morning until you realise your brain is being woken up. Because you are a massive pain in the ass right now and you are big lazy, and I mean lazy little boy who needs to grow up and get their act together. And until then you're grounded until you put your act together! I'm fed up with your shit Mikey I didn't lay around day! I didn't do this by being a lawyer I worked extremely hard and so did your mother." Harvey was opposite Mike as he was leaning against the bar at the kitchen.

"I'm sorry dad, I really am I don't know what to say." As Mike put his head down in shame and didn't know what to say he was really sorry.

"If you're really sorry, then I want you to prove to me and mom that you're truly sorry, so for starters you're coming to the office with me and do your homework so me and you're mom can keep an eye on you because until you prove to us you're having no playstation, no friends nothing!" Harvey said to him.

"Okay dad, I'll get ready." As Mike got off the bar stool and took his plate to the sink and went to his room to get ready.

"Was I harsh with him?" As donna came to his side.

"No, I think you scared him perfectly he needs a good wake up call he was being lazy and he needed a good talking to because I had no energy to do that." Donna smiled up at at him and gave him a kiss.

"Hmmm, he needs a good wake up call that's what he needs that kid just needs a sport he likes just like his old man." Harvey sighs.

"Hey! That's a brilliant idea, take him to a game or something? You know a Yankee's game or a boxing game to watch you box that'll wake him up, watch his old man throw punches." Donna smiles up at Harvey.

"What?! No donna He'll get a freight, you know that kid gets scared easily you saw his face just now when I lectured him baby." As Donna went into their bedroom.

"Harvey, just give it ago only this once just ask him what's there to loose honey? It's a sport a boys and girls sport if I can remember I did give birth to a son, and it was with you about nearly 13 years ago." As Donna went into their en-suite bathroom leaving it unlocked and Harvey following her.

Mike was getting changed in his bedroom, he had the most amazing view of New York City when it was day light, he was thinking of what his dad said to him at breakfast. He was still in pyjamas he didn't move a muscle since he came back into his bedroom he was too upset and thinking about what he was told by his father. He was scared that his father hates him. He was thinking why was he born? Did he do something wrong? Was he in the wrong family? Is it normal to act out like this? He looked at his iPhone and he had several text messages come in from Trevor, he had remembered that he was high on weed the other night but he doesn't remember anything else. He sighed and sat on his bed threw his phone and smashed it against the wall breaking it into small pieces in the process so he wouldn't see the text messages he was getting fed up with Trevor, he did have other friends too and I think his dad would be angry with him if he kept on texting him.

"I see you haven't listened yet again." He heard a deep voice as he looked up.

"Dad! Sorry I've been thinking what you said." As Mike gulped.

Harvey looked at the floor to his son's smashed iPhone and picked it up.

"What happened to your phone?" Harvey asked him.

"I...I dropped it by accident I'll pay for a new one when it comes my birthday, I know you hate me right now for my behaviour so it's okay." As Mike had tears in his eyes and Harvey saw that quickly.

Harvey sighed.

"I don't hate you, and I could never you because you are my son and I love you so much! But you are a pain in my ass right now. Come on we are going to replace your phone I can't trace your steps without one can I?" Harvey smirked at his son as Mike looked up at him and jumped up like an excited puppy in surprise and Harvey laughed at his son.

"Where are you boys going?" Donna asked her husband and son as she came out of her and Harvey's bedroom putting her Gucci earrings in wearing Fendi dress and Chanel shoes and Harvey couldn't take his eyes off of his wife.

"Ummmm...I smashed my phone." Mike looked down on the marble flooring of the condo.

"You smashed your iPhone?" Donna raised her eyebrow and then looked at Harvey.

"Your son got a bit upset so this is going to be replaced, with a tracking device, me and Mikey had a deal didn't we kid?" Harvey winked at him.

"We did. I didn't realise what I was doing sorry mom." Looking at his mom feeling guilty.

"I hope you're taking this easily Harv." He looked at Donna and went into the kitchen following Donna.

"Me and Mikey are going to the phone store and then we'll meet you at the firm, Ray is going to drop you off first." Harvey said as Donna sighed.

"I don't have much homework to do, I've already completed most of it." Mike told his parents as he grabbed his books from his room.

"Hey, don't be a smart ass I want you studying." Harvey pointed at his in all seriousness.

"I'm gonna call Ray to come and collect us." Donna said as she got her iPhone out to call their driver Ray who has been Harvey's driver since before Mike was born and they had a close relationship.

"Can I get new shoes?" Mike wondered as he looked at his converses.

Harvey looked at Donna as she shook her head no as she put on her Gucci jacket and sunglasses, it was a freezing cold day in Manhattan and Mike had put on his coat after he put his scarf and hat on, he didn't want to put on his gloves on because he knew it was going to snow later on and he wanted to throw snowballs at his father after work. He was sneaky like that but Harvey wasn't in the mood for snowball fights today.

"Not today kid, maybe another time. We are only replacing you're phone you're lucky we are only doing that." As Harvey put a hand on his son's shoulder.

"Oh man! But can I save up for some though right?" Mike questioned his father.

"Unfortunately your allowance is also on hold too." Harvey said as the 3 of them went into the elevator down to a waiting Ray to take them to the Firm.

Once they reached the car, Ray was waiting for them, once they got in the car Harvey told Ray to take Donna to the firm first and then to a phone store for Mike, the boy say in silence while both parents took glances at each other linking hands while sitting next to each other in the back while Mike was in the front. Once Donna was dropped off 15 minutes later Harvey kissed her goodbye and told hi'll see her later with Mike in tow.

"I'll see you soon, once I have this troublemaker's phone sorted out." Harvey kissed Donna goodbye.

"Make sure he listens to you, hey mister listen to your father." Donna poked his shoulder.

"I will don't worry, I'll move to the back." As Mike jumped into the back with his dad.

Ray drove off into the city to the phone shop, Harvey and Mike were more silent than ever, Harvey needed to make a conversation with his son, and speak to him about what he and Donna spoke about this morning about the sports and tagging him along and get him more and more active so he doesn't become more lazy.

"So I spoke to mom about you coming along to my boxing matches in the morning, would you like to come with me in the mornings? How would you feel about that becoming more and more active?" Harvey asking his son and making a conversation with him.

Mike turned his head around from looking out of the window, while the traffic was going along out of the window.

"What? As in box with you or coming along with to watching you box?" Mike laughed asking his dad looking at him.

"Your laughing at your old man, whose been boxing since even before the day you were born." Shaking his head.

"Sorry dad, but I think it's hilarious Harvey Spector the most amazing Lawyer boxing in the ring come on dad! Be real here." Mike sniggered.

"Yeah, yeah okay I'm defiantly gonna be taking you to see me box, then that's your punishment tomorrow morning 6:30am your up early no exceptions Michael." As Harvey played with his son by pretending to give him a punch in the face.

"Urgh! Dad no you can't do that to me that's not fair." Mike whinged as Ray got them to their destination.

A few hours later, Mike had gotten the latest iPhone on the conditions that he doesn't go anywhere out of his parent's sight, Harvey had installed the tracking device on his phone so he knows where his son is at all times, he installed the app on his, Donna's and Mike's phone if Mike disobeys Harvey and Donna Harvey will take his phone away and won't get it back for awhile. In the meantime Harvey was in a very important meeting so Donna had Mike for a bit so she can keep a close eye on him. In the meantime his new phone was still setting up so Mike couldn't mess around on it for a while.

"I'm bored, what is there to do?" Mike asked as he leaned on his mother.

Donna looked up at him and gave him a side hug while looking at her laptop.

"Well, you could always ask Louis for something to do, or do your homework importantly, what did dad say to prove to us that you're not lazy baby boy?" Donna looked up at her son with a smile.

"Oh no, no not Louis, I prefer to do something for dad than Louis." As Donna laughed at her son's reaction.

"Oh guess who it is." As Harvey was seen standing at the glass door of his wife's office watching his wife and son interact with a smirk on his face thinking how lucky he is.

"Daddy please tell mommy, that I don't want to work with Louis I'll do my homework instead." Mike said as Harvey came more into the office.

"You don't want to work with Louis? What's wrong with Louis?" Harvey still smirked then smiled at Mike as he sat down at one of the chairs opposite his wife at her desk.

"He doesn't want to work with Louis, because he's extremely bossy and he said he wants to work with you and prefers to do his homework and prove to you that he's trying not to be lazy anymore aren't you honey?" Donna told Harvey.

"Do you know what he wants me to do? Boxing! At 6:30 in the morning!" Mike pointed to his father as his mom laughed and put her head on the table laughing.

"Oh my boys, now out of my office I have work to do and so do you Specter! I don't want to see your faces until lunch." As she stood up and threw them out.

"This is how your mother treats me Mikey, yes babe we are gone don't worry I do have calls to make too." Harvey said to his son as he took him by the shoulders and took him to his office.

"I, I can't believe my own mother threw me out. Jessica nice to see you walking around." Mike pretended to be offended, and saw Jessica coming towards them.

Harvey clipped him in the head.

"Where are your manners? Go to my office now! I'll deal with you in a minute." Harvey frowned at his son.

"Yes dad." As Mike went to his dad's office.

"I'm sorry Jessica for Mike's behaviour he's being going through this phase." Harvey explained to his boss.

"Oh don't worry about it, I was just coming to see you about a new case that I need you to look into can you do this for me it's about a baby who lost their parents in a house fire at 19 months old they're an orphan, it's a sad story and the grandparents want to put them into care but the care home don't want them it's a hard one can you do this one? or I can give it to Alex or Louis if this gonna upset you?" Jessica explained to him.

"No, no I'll do it thanks Jessica." As Jessica smiled and gave him the folder of the case file then Harvey.

"Okay I know you'll do your best, you're the best Lawyer I know who I have in this company especially the senior partner." Jessica winked at Harvey.

"Thanks Jessica." Harvey smiled.

As Harvey walked in he saw his son in his son throwing one of his beloved baseballs in the air.

"Hey! Whose the lawyer around here me or you?" Harvey spoke up as he came into his office.

"Oh my God! Dad you scared me, listen I was just waiting for you I didn't want to start my homework alone, and I thought about what mom said I want to start proving to you that I'm not as lazy as you think so I'm going to do it while your in here!" As Mike dropped the baseball and picked it up and put it back on his dads desk.

Harvey smiled at his son, as he sat at his desk.

"Come here son, you know I'm damn proud of you, people do get scared. Me and mom are always here if you want to talk okay? Just don't do silly things that get you into trouble okay?" As Mike gave Harvey a hug.

"I will dad I promise you." As Mike hugged his father.

"I'm proud of you, I really am, oh and we are going boxing tomorrow." Harvey smirked at his son as they became apart.

Mike groaned as he pounced himself on his father's couch to do his homework in his father's company.
