Chapter One: Break-Out

"It's disgusting isn't it?" Robbie asked Megan as they sat at Mickey's drinking milkshakes-Ray and Lily across them-making out as usual. Saying their goodbyes before NML left for their summer mall tour. Megan nodded and took a drink of her milkshake. That irrated Robbie-how come Megan couldn't talk! Well, she obviously could-she just chose not to.

Parker slid down next to Robbie. "Hey guys-whats the haps?" she asked-in her usual perky-Parker voice. She had quickly gotten over Travis moving-knowing that the chance of ever seeing him again was slim to none.

"Hey Parks." Robbie said-smiling, finally glad summer was out. "Not much. Just trying to enjoy the first day of summer vacation." Robbie replied, motioning to Ray and Lily.

Parker looked at Ray and Lily. "Now Robbie-a few months ago-that would have been you and Kim if you wanted to go public." Parker replied, "Where is Kim these days anyway?" she asked.

He shrugged, "Around. Probably with Garth." he told her and rolled her eyes. "Our relationship just kind of died off by itself." he added, putting his feet up on the coffee table infront of him.

"Ahh so McGrath is flyin' solo again eh?" Parker asked him, grabbing his milkshake.

"hey! That's my milkshake! Give it back." he said, reaching for it.

Parker spit in the drink. "Here you go." she said handing it back. "Aren't you gonna take it?" she asked.

"Eww no. You can keep it." he told her, making a face. "Anyway. yes, I am flying solo, and kind of happy to be. I've said it once and I'll say it again-theres plenty of hot girls out there--" he was cut off.

"And only one you." everyone replied in unison. They all laughed. "We know, we know, how many girls even know your name?" Ray asked him.

"More then yours." he shot back, trying to count in his head. "Well...theres...um...maybe..." he said thinking hard.

"Yeah I thought so." Ray said, kissing Lily again. "You can probably count them on your fingers." he added.

Robbie just rolled his eyes. "Yeah well you can probably count them on one hand!" he retorted.

"Yeah well..well atleast I have a girlfriend!" Ray replied.

"Oh that's a great comeback Ray!" Robbie shouted at his friend. "I'm out." he said standing up, and purposely spilling Rays drink on him.

"Good job Robbie!" Ray yelled, standing up and letting the milkshake run off his pants.

"Whatever." Robbie said leaving Mickey's in a huff, he sat down at a table outside. Why could he not control this outbursts? These impulses just to grab Ray and strangle him, until he shut-up and stopped making ridiulous-this wasn't the real Robbie. What was going on?

Parker appeared and sat down with Robbie. "What's goin' down with you two?" she asked him.

"I don't know!" Robbie cried.

"OK. Chill...wait...where are you going?" she asked him, watching Robbie stand up.

"Home. Somewhere..I dunno." he replied, kicking the chair and causing it to fall over. "Frig." he swore, and started down the sidewalk. What the hell was going on?
