Today was Anna's birthday. Nearly everyone was rushing around trying to find some money to get her something she would like. As for me, I just sat back and relaxed under the sun, listening to my music. I opened my eyes to see Manta carrying a shopping bag. "Hey Manta what's in the bag" I asked my short friend. "It's a gift for Anna. I got her the new issue of "How to become an inn hostess".
Thena pause...
"What did you get her Yoh?".
I smiled.
"Sorry, but I'm not telling".
After Manta got tired of trying to pry the answer out of me, he left to go wrap his gift and I was left alone. Or so I thought.
"Hi Yoh! What'cha doing?".
I nearly had heart attack when HoroHoro and Ren popped out of nowhere; both carring bags of something. But there was something odd in the way they looked at me, like they wanted to find something out. And I knew what it was too.
"SowhatdidyougetAnna?" they both asked together, well mainly HoroHoro said it before Ren.
And I smiled.
"Sorry, but I'm not telling".
As the day went on, nearly everyone kept asking me what my gift was. But no matter how hard they tried, they could never get one peep out of me.
I just would just smile.
"Sorry guys, but I'm not telling".
Later that night, we had a huge birthday bash. Anna seemed to enjoy it even though she wasn't in the mood to celebrate. Finally it was time to hand out the gifts to her. She got a lot of nice stuff. A new bathrobe, books, kitchen mitts, and other stuff. And when it was my turn, I stood before her cool and relaxed as always.
"Anna I know my gift may not be perfect than the rest, but I know it's something that you've always wanted".
And then I kissed her on the lips.
"Happy Birthday Anna-chan".
SLAP!
...Ok so maybe I got slapped for calling her Anna-chan, but I do know she liked it cause she's been blushing ever since.
