Chapter One
Changes and Gifts
They were right ahead and the sight of them made Harry's heartbeat faster. Suspended, but somehow still breathing, were Ron, Hermione, Cho, and Gabrielle Delacour. Rushing over to them.
He did not hesitate, he did not stop, he rushed over to them, and with the knife in his pocket, he began to cut the binds that tied them. However, after closer examination, he realized that not only were all of them alive, but these were the treasures Dumbledore spoke of. Waiting for the others, he lay by Ron's sideā¦until it happened.
Ron's eyes shot open, and he immediately began to struggle. Surprised, Harry quickly cut through his binds. Then, the same thing happened to Hermione, then Cho, then Gabrielle, all waking from their trances, struggling to breathe and untie themselves. The merpeople were so surprised by this development, they all stood motionless.
Harry didn't hesitate, he cut through all their binds.
Hermione and Ron, realizing what was happening, both began to rush to the surface, until Harry noticed Gabrielle and Cho struggling and beginning to sink. Harry grabbed hold of both of them and started to help them up.
Just as the weight of the two girls began to get to him, Ron and Hermione grabbed hold of him and began swimming to the surface.
Up above, a horrified crowd was watching what was unfolding under the water. The spell used to allow the hostage's safety had broken.
The teachers were holding their breaths, students were either preying or freaking out. The stadium looked to be close to chaos.
"Save my daughter!" screeched an unbelievably gorgeous woman, appearing to be Fleur's mother.
"Dumbly-dorr, them!" commanded Madam Maxime.
Dumbledore pulled out his wand, but then, someone pushed past him.
"Mr. Longbottom," said a surprised McGonagall.
Indeed. Neville had rushed past the teachers, made a beeline for the lake, and before anyone could do or say anything else, he had jumped right in, going to help his friends. He had disappeared into the waters.
If that was not worrisome enough, he was then followed by a streak of red hair and white hair. Ginny Weasley and her friend, Luna Lovegood, had followed in Neville's idea and both jumped into the lake as well, disappearing below the surface.
The professors only had seconds to regain their composure and thoughts, but by then the students were already gone.
Ron and Hermione could feel themselves drifting away, unconsciousness taking hold, the surface seemingly far away. But Harry was determined and held on tightly. However, as Ron and Hermione grew weaker, Harry could feel the weight he was holding growing. Just when it seemed they were done for, three figures appeared and grabbed onto the lot.
Harry did not have time to be surprised by the appearance of Neville, Ginny, and a girl with white hair Harry often saw around Ginny. The new trio lifted them up and with everyone's combined strength, they reached the top.
Hermione and Ron were a second away from passing out, gasping for breath as the light of the sun blinded and touched them. Harry was momentarily glad to see his friends alive, but then he looked over at Cho and Gabrielle who were both pale and unmoving. Immediately going to the stands, Harry, Neville, Ginny, and Luna lifted the two seemingly lifeless girls to the land.
"I know what to do," said Hermione, regaining her senses. Rushing to the stands, she got up on Gabrielle and began breathing into her mouth. "They need CPR."
"Right," said Harry.
In his primary school days, he remembered an informative video the teacher had shown them on how to help someone who stopped breathing. Rushing to Cho, he began doing the same as Hermione on her.
The audience watched the scene in silence, all hoping for some miracle. The professors, judges, and parents were all rushing to reach them, having been stationed at the far end of the stadium.
Then, a miracle happened that caused the crowd to cheer, and a few even cry. Cho and Gabrielle both spit out water, as the color began to return to their faces. Tired, coughing, and weak, but both were still alive.
Professor Dumbledore, Madam Maxime, Professor McGonagall, and Apolline and Fleur Delacour were the first to reach them. Fleur and her mother already had tears in their eyes and swooped Gabrielle up, grateful she was alive. The Headmistress for Beauxbaton soon joined the family in a massive hug.
The crowd, upon seeing the hostages alive burst into massive applause, with even a few Slytherins joining in. The Gryffindors, led by the likes of Fred, George, Lee, Seamus, and Dean were the loudest.
"That's my sister and brother," said Fred and George together.
"Good on ya, Nev," cheered Dean.
Tired, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Neville, and Luna all lay on the ground, while broad smiles on each their faces.
"Their cheering," Ron said. "For us."
"That was-that was-" McGonagall seemed to be at a loss for words.
"Brave," said Dumbledore proudly. "That was brave."
"Yes," said McGonagall. "Brave."
The cheers lasted for an entire three minutes, even after Cedric and Victor both resurfaced, confused and shocked. Headmaster Karkaroff and Professor Sprout both explained what happened, and Victor and Cedric both looked right at the group.
Cedric looked approvingly. Grateful and thankfully for Harry and the other's bravery. Victor looked amazed, especially when seeing Hermione like this was a side of her he had never seen.
Percy Weasley had even come over and hugged both Ron and Ginny, before lecturing Ginny on how stupid that was.
"Neville, Ginny, and whoever you are," said Harry.
"Oh, how rude of me. Luna Lovegood. Sorry we're meeting like this, but I guessed what Ginny was about to do and decided it was best I help," Luna said drying up.
"Yes, well as I was saying. Neville, Ginny, Luna, I owe all of you Butterbeers," Harry said.
"A butterbeer. We owe them a lifetime of butterbeer," said Ron, still out of breath.
"Thank you guys," said Hermione, wrapping a towel around herself.
"Just, being a Gryffindor," said Neville with unabashed pride.
"You too, Gin," said Ron.
"Thanks, big brother," Ginny replied.
Just then, Dumbledore decided to address the crowd. Harry noted that there seemed to be some unmasked fury to his expression, but this softened as he turned to the crowd.
"I would like to address what you have all just witnessed. I, as well as the other judges, placed the hostages under a powerful enchantment to ensure their safety. However, by means that will be investigated, someone has tampered with this enchantment," Dumbledore said.
This caused whispers, gasps, and outcries. Dumbledore ignored them.
"The hostages would have died, had it not been for the quick thinking and bravery of Mr. Potter, as well as his friends. So for that, we award Harry sixty points and first place," the Hogwarts students cheered louder at this and clapped at Harry. "As well as awarding fifty house points to each student that helped him."
The cheers grew at this, though Harry could make out the sour and disgusted looks from Snape and Draco, as well as the other Slytherins.
"Harry, that puts you ahead!" said Hermione.
While Victor looked disappointed by this, Cedric couldn't help but smile, and Fleur was too engulfed by her sister to care.
Cedric was awarded forty-seven points, Victor forty points, and Fleur twenty-five points. The score was now 100 for Harry, 85 for Cedric, 80 for Victor, and 64 for Fleur, with Harry ahead.
But somewhere off, in a private area, a mother and her daughters were talking. The Delacour women had slipped away from the crowd. They were now in Fleur's cabin, Gabrielle sleeping in Fleur's arms, exhausted from the day.
"They saved her," said Fleur gravely. "They saved a half-veela."
"Yes," said Apolline, knowing the magic that had been unleashed. "She, as well as our family, owe them a life debt that must be repaid."
"We could mate with them, offer ourselves up," suggested Fleur.
"Would never work. Do you even listen to yourself," snapped Apolline? "It would have to be Gabrielle who offered herself up, and she is too young, and there is no guarantee they would accept her."
"Then what?" asked Fleur beggingly. "The life debt must be paid."
"I know what to do," said Apolline determinedly. "I will give them the Veela's gift."
Fleur was shocked.
"Do you know what you are doing? Contemplating them to a life of the allure, unable to make connections," said Fleur hotly.
"I know the risks, as they are risks I, you, and Gabrielle live with every day. However, it seems to be the only way to repay the debt."
Fleur was about to retort when the sleeping Gabrielle in her arms stiffened. Looking down at the innocent girl, Fleur knew there was no other way.
"Who knows, maybe you might like having companions with the same allure," reassured Apolline. "Now, I must tell this news to Dumbledore," Apolline said as she left her daughter.
By the time Harry returned to the Common Room, a large party had broken out and expectedly, Harry was at the center of it all. His hero status had not only been resumed but now both Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw were praising him for saving the hostages. Hannah Abbot and Ernie MacMillian had even practically begged for his forgiveness for the badges. Susan Bones even hugged him.
However, the role of hero status had now been applied to Ron, Hermione, Neville Ginny, and Luna. A large group of students surrounded both Ron and Hermione as they recounted their stories. Ron looked proud and Hermione looked embarrassed. While both Ginny and Luna seemed overwhelmed, they were just happy to be a part of this. As for Neville, Harry was glad the poor boy was finally getting the recognition he deserved.
As the party began to die down, Professor McGonagall had taken Harry aside. "Mr. Potter, the Headmaster wishes to speak with you, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, Mrs. Granger, Mr. Longbottom, and Mrs. Lovegood. None of you are in trouble, but there seems to be an important matter that needs to be tended to," she said.
Harry understood and passed the information along to the others. Later that night, the six walked together to the Headmaster's Office.
"You think he'll give us some type of reward," said Ron.
"Ron! Dumbledore already gave us fifty points each, I think that is enough!" snapped Hermione.
"Yeah and seeing the glares of Snape and Malfoy was reward enough," joked Ginny.
"Yeah, he looked like he was about to punch someone," added Harry, only now noticing how funny Ginny was.
"If it makes you feel better, Snape can be really nasty to the Ravenclaw students, though his hatred does not compare to his dislike of Gryffindors," said Luna.
"That's nothing compared to his hatred of Harry. It's like every breath Harry takes is an insult to Snape," said Ron.
The six finally found themselves at the entrance to Dumbledore's Office. "Lemon Drops," said Harry to the gargoyle, who stepped aside.
Knocking at the door, Dumbledore immediately let the six in. While Harry, Ron, and Ginny had all been to Dumbledore's Office before, this was the first time for Hermione, Neville, and Luna, who were all amazed by the Headmaster's Office. Hermione and Luna seemed especially taken by Fawkes, Dumbledore's phoenix.
"Amazing," said Hermione awestruck.
"Quick remarkable creatures," said Luna.
"I agree," said Dumbledore, making himself known.
However, all six students saw there was another adult present. Apolline Delacour walked forward, and Harry was able to take note of her beauty. Age had been kind to her, only approving of her body, with a slim waist, large bosoms, and a wide and voluptuous rear, as well as strong cheekbones, short white hair, and pale skin.
"I believe Madam Delacour has a very important matter to discuss," said Dumbledore.
Harry noticed that she must be controlling her allure, as unlike being around Fleur, he did not feel a need to impress her.
"Yes, there is an urgent matter that needs to be rectified. First off, I'd like to thank all of you for your role in the recuse of my youngest daughter, Gabrielle. My family owes you all a debt, and it is that debt which I intend to pay," said Apolline softly.
"Mrs. Delacour, it's nothing really," insisted Hermione.
"Yes, we can't accept anything," she stopped Harry before he could continue.
"You misunderstand, I have to pay that debt. How familiar are you all with Veela magic?" asked Apolline. None of them responded. "Okay, well Veela magic is very strict and very powerful, but a strong aspect in terms of repaying magic."
All six were glued to Madame Delacour, their ears listening. "You all saved my daughter who is half-veela, which means she and my family owe you a veela debt, which must be repaid in three ways. Either sexual, servitude, or a Veela's gift. If the debt is not paid, the person with the life debt will die. Meaning my daughter could die," she said.
"I'll take Veela's gift, whatever that is," said Harry at once. "I never want to make you, or Gabrielle do anything awful or dying!"
"Me too," added Hermione. "And I'm sure everyone will agree."
Apolline's expression was mixed. She seemed partially relieved but also worried about what the six were agreeing to. Dumbledore seemed to share this expression, as he stared at the six surprised.
"Do you know what a veela's gift is?" asked Apolline.
None of them answered, meaning no, but Harry rose. "Whatever it is, we accept it. Better than Gabrielle dying!" he said.
"Yes, we all accept," said Neville determinedly.
All of them then stood up, clearly willing to sacrifice all for the sake of their daughter. "A Veela's Gift means you will have the appearance and abilities of a half-veela. Do you accept it?" she asked.
The six remained silent, clearly surprised by what this was. All of them were deep in thought for the longest moment, clearly trying to weigh their options. Before either Dumbledore or Apolline could reply, Neville rose and stated he would accept.
"Over these last few hours, I've finally begun to feel like a true Gryffindor. I'm in," he said.
"Same here," replied Harry.
"I'm in," said Ron.
"Me too," said Ginny.
"I don't want to be last, so I'm in," said Hermione.
"Might be fun," said Luna.
With the brightest smile, Apolline raised her wand and said an incantation none of the six could understand. Then, six balls of pure light emanated from the tip of Apolline's wand, and each went straight into the six's chest, disappearing into their bodies.
"What just happened?" asked Ginny.
"You'll see tomorrow.
The next day, Harry woke from a glorious sleep, feeling strangely refreshed and lively. He walked right to the bathroom, stopped in front of the mirror, and was seconds from letting out a scream. The face looking back at him in the mirror was completely different from the one he saw when he fell asleep.
His face was handsome. No other word for it. An oval face with deeper eyes and slicker hair. Looking down, he now had a body to match, with abs, a taller and muscular physique, away from the skinny little child he was.
So this is what Apolline meant, he thought.
"What the!" Harry looked over to see Ron and Neville, both having experienced the same change as Harry.
Looking over, he saw the two boys staring at themselves in the mirror, and like Harry, both had changed. Gone was the lanky and stubby boy, and in his place was a gorgeous, muscular and tall redhead. Gone was the chubby and short Longbottom boy, and in its place was a trim and strapping young man.
All three boys stared at each other before Harry finally spoke. "We should find the girls," he said.
"Yeah," agreed Ron.
Over in the Girl's dorm, Hermione and Ginny were walking to the bathroom. As they walked in, each girl got a good look at the other, and both their eyes went wide. They had both experienced changes.
Hermione looked more 17 than 14, with a slim figure, a wide ass, and a perfect hourglass figure, with Ginny the same, both looking like a set of 20-year-olds. Ginny's hair was straight and firey, while Hermione's unhinged hair now looked free and wild. But to top it all off, they were, as Seamus would have put it, busty. With large H-cup breasts.
"We need to see the boys," said Hermione.
"Yep," agreed with Ginny.
In the Ravenclaw bathroom, Luna was observing herself in the mirror. She was taller, with long shoulder-length hair, a bosom figure, and red lips.
"Interesting," she said, as she began her shower.
