Once again, they were in a new world. Earlier that day, Mokona had brought them to this quiet world only to find themselves stranded on a small island. There was a hazy red glow in the sky, and Syaoran had thought the sun was setting...but after several hours of waiting for the dark to rise, he soon realized this world had no sun...or people.

The island was mostly sandy beaches, with a very small and incredibly thick forest in the center. Kurogane had managed to catch some fish, and Fai was able to start a fire using some dead trees from the forest. Sakura had passed out shortly after they arrived, and slept most of the day away. But the most upsetting part of the day...was when Mokona announced there was no feather in this world.

The group decided to take this chance to relax a bit, but everyone did seem a bit...moody. "It's this world." Fai had said after several quiet hours. "The silence, the atmosphere, everything it would appear, makes you think a bit, right Kuro-pi?" Kurogane growled a bit at the remark, but didn't do much afterwards. Only the sleeping Sakura and Mokona were unaffected by the thoughtful atmosphere. But then again...did Mokona even think?

And now, everyone but Syaoran...was asleep.

A small sigh escaped from Syaoran's lips as he stared blankly at the vast ocean before him. It was truly amazing..the ocean there were so many, many mysteries about the ocean his father had told him about. The surface looked so calm, so tame...But he knew that deep beneath this calm surface, was a merciless tempest.

The mysterious space time witch who had granted him his wish to find Sakura's lost memories. She had been so...Syaoran struggled to find a word that suited the space witch..she was like the ocean. At first glance, she appeared to be an ordinary woman who would give to him what he wanted. But she was truly and extraordinary woman who could grant his wish...at a price. Like a wave bringing to the shore a message in a bottle, but taking away bits of land.

Syaoran frowned a bit, remembering his deal with Yuko. He only wanted to do what was best for Princess Sakura, even if it hurt him to do so. Syaoran, Fai, Kurogane, and even Mokona, would help find Sakura's feathers and soon...she would have all over her memories back...all of them except him, that is.

He remembered when Princess Sakura almost remembered in the country of Oto. He had been...foolish, to believe that maybe, just maybe, Princess Sakura would be allowed to remember him...just that one time. But Yuko...did not allow it.

A small squeeze was felt in his chest as he remembered all of the events that lead up to where he was now. Even if Sakura could remember what had happened in Clow...at least...at least for now, she would be allowed to remember him on this journey. But what would happen when the journey was over? Would Yuko strip the princess of her memories once more?

He smiled. If Sakura could get her memories back...and smile like she used to, then it would be worth it. Sakura did not have to remember him. If she could remember her brother, her father, Yukito, Clow...if she could remember all of those things, then he would be...content with being forgotten. He told himself.

Besides..he wanted to be more...then just a memory.
