Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter. 'Nuff said.
A/N: I'll just tell you that I had a lot of fun with this one.
Harry walked down to the common room, sat down next to Ginny in front of the fire, and silently waited for Ginny to finish reading.
"Morning, love," she said to her boyfriend, without looking up.
Harry cleared his throat. "Ginny, we need to talk."
Ginny set down her book, looking concerned. "What is it, Harry?"
Harry ran his hands through his hair and sighed. "We can't be together anymore."
Ginny froze. "Harry, what's wrong? I'm sure whatever it is, we can work it out." she put her hand on his gently.
Harry pulled his hand away, and said seriously, "No, we can't."
"What? Why not?"
"I—I've realized that I'm gay."
Ginny's eyes widened, and she covered her mouth in horror.
"Ginny, I know this is hard for you to accept, but I've finally been able to come to terms with myself, and people have been there to love and support me through it. The last step was telling you." He smiled and laughed a little. "In fact, I think I've actually found someone who I can love."
Ginny uncovered her mouth. "Who?"
Harry hesitated.
"Is it anyone I know?" Ginny asked.
"Er…yes. It's, er, Neville Longbottom. I still love you, but I don't know. It's different with Neville. And I can't live this lie any longer."
"Well, that's a relief," Ginny said, standing up.
"What?" Harry fell out of his chair.
"Well, I've been cheating on you for the past three months with Draco Malfoy, and, since you're gay, I suppose it doesn't matter."
Harry looked pale. "Ginny...I was kidding," he said weakly.
"Well, Harry, I'm sorry it had come out this way." She headed for the portrait hole, turned back, and gave him a peck on the lips. "Have a nice April Fools' Day, Harry," she grinned, leaving the common room.
Harry finally found his voice. "Hey, that's not funny!" he yelled, following her through the portrait hole.
A/N: Poor Harry. He can't win. :D
