"Class we have a new student" the teacher said motioning to a girl with long Black hair and Dark Gold eyes standing in the doorway of the small classroom. Kurama looked up from his book, when he saw her eyes he gasped, those eyes were not those of a Human, they were those that have been a characteristic of Kitsunes. The girl looked uneasy. "Class this is Akari Tomoe," The teacher said. "Akari, you can sit in the empty seat next to Shuichi." She said pointing to the empty space next to Kurama. As Akari walked down the aisles to her seat she tried to ignore the glares being sent to her by the girls.

Akari sat in the seat next to Kurama. She silently sat in her seat watching the teacher. But no matter how hard Kurama tried he could'nt concentrate on the teacher, instead his gaze kept wandering towards Akari, Something seemed familiar to him but he could'nt put is finger on it. Kurama sat in his seat staring at Akari all day not paying attention to anything the teacher said.

After the bell rang Akari, slowly got up grabbing her stuff and walked out of the classroom leaving Kurama there to pick up his belongings and head out. Akari walked down the street towards her newly purchased apartment. As she walked down the road she started thinking. 'wow that shuichi seemed familiar' she thought to herself as she started to climb the stairs to her apartment. Her apartment was on the second floor, she had bought apartment number 13 which she thought was Ironic because everything goes wrong in her life, just a little streak of Bad Luck throughout her life.

As she sat in her apartment she played "When You Close Your Eyes"(Night Ranger Owns Me Don't No Matter How much I 3 that song) on her electric guitar. Her Guitar was her most prized possession, her Mother had given it to her a day before she died. As she brushed her pick across the stainless steel strings, she softly sang the words to the song that she loved so much. "When you close your eyes

Meanwhile at Genkai's Temple

"Yusuke, Hiei, Kuwabara, you have a new mission." Koenma said through the brief case thing. "what now, pacifier breath?" Yusuke asked. "You have to bring this girl, Akari, here for Genkai to train." Koenma said as a picture of Akari appeared on the screen. "Should'nt we get Kurama?" Kuwabara asked. "No" Koenma said a little too quickly. "why not?" Yusuke asked. "Akari, is Youko's Daughter." Koenma told them. " I still don't see why Kurama can't come." Yusuke said. "Because you guys are telling her who she is once you get her..I don't want Kurama to know..at least not yet." Koenma said. "Whatever." Yusuke said.

" I wonder why Koenma doesn't want Kurama to know..." Kuwabara started to say but was interupted by Yusuke "Who cares lets just go get this over with" Yusuke said. "Hn" Hiei replied. Yusuke, Hiei, and Kuwabara slowly left Genkai's temple to find the young kitsune and tell her, her true identity.

Back With Kurama

Kurama sat at his desk thinking to himself ' Akari is definatly a Kitsune there is no doubt in my mind...but why do I feel like I know her? And if she is a demon why is she in the ningenkai?' Kurama but down his pencil after he completed his homework. "I have to find out." Kurama said out loud to himself.
