Walking through the crowds of vampire-wannabees at the club, Catherine Willows couldn't help but scoff at the costumes and décor. She and Warrick were there to talk to anyone that had seen the Jane Doe from the morgue the night she'd died. The case brought back unwanted memories for Catherine, but she pushed them to the back of her mind and concentrated on doing her job.
It happened while they were interviewing a bartender. Catherine felt an odd, familiar tingle in her stomach and her muscles tense. She hadn't felt this way in a very long time. Not since her last vampire. No longer concentrating on what Warrick and the bartender were saying, Catherine slowly turned around, reaching out with her senses. Then, she spotted the vampire. Ironically, the vamp was one of the few normally dressed in the entire club.
Angel sensed the Slayer the same moment she sensed him. He saw her turn and look around, and saw that her gaze settled on him. He knew from her vest that she was from the Las Vegas Crime Lab.
