The girl's reaction to Catherine's statement was not what she expected. Instead of attacking, or running in fear, she simply rolled her eyes.
"Another one?" She asked, incredulous. "You know, for 'One Girl In All The World,' there sure are a lot of us." The vampire chuckled. "I'm Buffy." The blonde told Catherine in a friendly voice. It seemed that upon realizing Catherine was a Slayer, the girl had decided she wasn't a threat. "And I'm also a Vampire Slayer."
"You're the current Slayer?" Catherine asked. Buffy nodded. "But you're protecting a vampire." Again Buffy rolled her eyes.
"Angel isn't like other vampires." She explained with a long-suffering sigh. Catherine got the impression this was a conversation she had often, and was sick of. "He has a human soul. He doesn't kill people. He helps me. I love him." Buffy's eyes narrowed and her voice turned hard. "And I won't let you hurt him." Catherine shivered at the obvious threat in the younger Slayer's words. For someone so little, she was very intimidating.
"So how is it you're a Slayer?" Buffy asked, her demeanor once again friendly.
"I died." Catherine told her. "Drowned. My Watcher gave me CPR." Buffy grinned.
"No way! You too?" She laughed. "I drowned, too. A friend revived me."
Up until that point, Warrick had been frozen in shock. Now, though, he spoke up.
"What the hell is going on here, Catherine?"
