Kim was looking at an old picture of her and Bobby. She missed him so much. She couldn't help but remember how close they used to be. They would tell each other everything and get into fights over the dumbest things. But they always made up. They never could go that long without talking to each other. She loved having him as a friend. They were best friends. He was the only person that she had to talk to. He was the only person she could trust enough to tell everything to.
Bobby was great in so many ways. He was always there for her. No matter what it was. He also helped her out a lot with Joey. He was there for Joey more than Jimmy was. He was like a second father to Joey. He was always there for her when Jimmy screwed up. He would listen to her cry, complain, and say how much she hated Jimmy. He always gave her good advice, but she rarely ever took it. And when she didn't, she would always wish she had. Bobby had a good heart. He was always helping people and never judging them. He forgave people so easily. Everyone loved him. Especially her.
She loved him so much. She was just so scared to be more than friends with him. She knew she would have screwed it up or hurt him. She just could do that to him. She sucked at having good relationships with guys. She had married Jimmy and that had turned out to be a mistake. After being with Jimmy, she's had a lot of trouble trusting guys. But she never had any trouble trusting Bobby. He was always so honest with her.
But now he was gone. She didn't even get to tell him how much he meant to her and how much she missed him. She cared about him more than anything. He was her best friend. They always knew what the other was thinking. He could always tell when she was hurt, angry, upset, or when Jimmy had screwed up. She could always count on him and he could always count on her.
She never did imagine him gone. She had thought he would always be there. She couldn't help but feel a little responsible for him being dead. She was with him that night. There was a number of things she could have done. She could have stopped him from going inside or stopped him from destroying Paulie's drug's. She could have gone to him sooner and called for help sooner. But none of that mattered now. Because Bobby was gone and he wasn't coming back. She had to face that. No matter how much she wanted to forget everything that had happened that night. But she can't. That's pretty much all she can think about.
She was such a mess without Bobby. She never really felt like doing anything. Jimmy had taken Joey from her and barley let her see him. Her mother was always on her back and didn't trust her to be alone. Doc didn't think it was a good idea for her to be working again and everyone at work would always walk on eggshells around her. It was just getting to be too much. She didn't know how long she could take all of this. She needed to talk to someone, but she didn't have anyone that she could talk to.
What she needed was to get away from this place. She needed to move out of this apartment. There were too many memories of everything that's happened. But she would never be able to leave New York, her job, or her family and friends. She loved them too much. She had to face it. Bobby was never coming back and she would never be able to change what she did. But it was time to say good-bye to all of her old memories and make some new ones. Maybe then she would be able to move on.
The End
