Rex is not the usual pokemon. he was a cure to infection that turns life forms into mutants by nanites-based pathogens. He manage to cure everyone ten years ago but it cost a heavy prize despite being a divine dragon god incarnated. His terrible fate was unexpected as he learned to be a responsible, resourceful young man with courage who's willing to help others- his curse is more or less of a lack of ethical dilemma for following grey moral standers.

Since he's free of grey morality, he let a male unfezant peck his teeth since the gunk on his serrated jaws is nourishment for young pokemon. Later he role on his back to scratch his rick hard belly with his seemly small arms. Rex gets up to stretch his back like by bending backward. A Garshomp named Gargore- who may use to be Ash's gible came to Rex.

Gargore came to Rex about interacting with the saber-tooth tribe- a tribe of cat folk that is known for their relentless habits,' Rex sense trouble with the sabers.
