'He's coming...'

Cain's eyes shifted around the room dully as he sat alone, waiting. It was so quiet, so empty, the only sound he heard were his own thoughts and the buzzing of machinery was almost mute to his ears, for he was so used to it.

'Who are you waiting for?'

Fists clenched tightly together, the golden haired boy let out a frustrated sigh. Who was he waiting for, indeed? Him. He was waiting for the one person he had been born to kill. How he hated him for taking his place in the mission of tracking down the girl Lilia. It wasn't fair...

Such idle thoughts while waiting and it made him grow impatient, but he kept a calm expression on his face. The more he thought about the return of his little brother, the sadder he grew strangely, why would he be sad? He -wanted- to kill him for taking his place! However, something inside him made it so painful to even think of harming the face that was so much like his own.

'He's almost here.'

Cain held his knees close to himself and rocked just slightly back and forth, thinking of a past that he could not change and a future inevitable. Glancing up, Cain could see his reflection in one of the chambers his "brothers" were born in. Everything was the same as -his-. Eyes, face, hair, shape, voices, smiles... he secretly wished he could see that certain smile, it was so refreshing and full of light. Rion was definitely something...

"Something I can never have...", he murmured quietly to himself.

'He's here.'

It felt as though his heart had jumped, but he couldn't fail Mother as the emerald-eyed Galerian slipped into the shadows. One of them would live and one of them would die...but they would never see each other again, or so he assumed, but he knew for sure that he'd never see the innocent smile...of his crystal blue eyed brother, Rion.
