Don't Stop Dancing

By Ayato Kamina

Note: Yay! I finally saw this episode three days ago! It was awesome! Anyway, this song is done by Creed and I own it, pus the CD, but I don't own Yugioh. On with the fic!

At time's life is wicked and I just can't see the light

Yami stood over Joey's lifeless body. Ever since he was attacked by Ra, Marik's Egyptian God card, he hadn't moved or spoken for quite a while.

A silver lining sometimes isn't enough to make some wrongs seem right

/It's my fault that this happened to Joey…/ Yugi said sadly through the mind link. He walked slowly over to his bed side, staring at his body. He fell to his knees, crying.

/I should've faced Marik/ He cried as he sobbed harder. /No, Yugi… / Yami said gravely.

Whatever life brings

I've been through everything

And now I'm on my knees again

"I know that this is hard for you," Yami said. "Marik is the toughest foe we ever faced. But if we walk away now, then he wins…"

But I know I must go on

Although I hurt I must be strong

Because inside I know that many feel this way

/Marik has gone way too far/ Yugi cried. /He's caused way too much damage already, and I'm not gonna lose another friend/

Yami angrily punched the wall, almost making a dent in it. "I won't give up if you won't, Joey…keep fighting the shadows…" Yami urged.

Children don't stop dancing

Believe you can fly

Away…away…

"Marik's reign of destruction is so…unpredictable…"Yami said to himself. "What's next? It's all so unclear…"

At times life's unfair and you know it's plain to see

It doesn't have to be. Just check your pocket…

Yami turned as if he heard something. "Joey, was that you?" he wondered aloud.

/Guess not. It must have been wishful thinking…/

Hey God, you know I'm just a dot in this world have you forgot about me?

In the medical ward, Serenity was by her brother's side, holding his hand. "I'm right here," she said, sadness noting in her voice. "How is he?" Yami asked, walking in.

"He's still the same, Yugi," Tristan replied. "But knowing Joey, he's doing whatever it takes to wake up."

Whatever life brings

I've been through everything

And now I'm on my knees again

Yami took Joey's duel disk from his bedside and looked at it in wonder. "Then he'll need this," he said as he placed it on his arm.

"He'd want it close by," he said. "For what?" Tea' asked.

"His toughest fight yet."

But I know I must go on

Although I hurt I must be strong

Because inside I know that many feel this way

"Tea, do you understand that backing out of this duel is not an option?" Yami asked.

"Yeah, but--"

"No 'buts', Tea'! The reason I joined the Battle City Tournament was to fulfill Ishizu's prophecy and stop this great evil from endangering mankind."

Children don't stop dancing

Believe you can fly

Away…away…

"And when Joey found out, he vowed to help me, no matter how tough the fight," Yami continued. "And I know I must press on, because not only would I be giving up on Joey, I'd be giving up on the entire world. So you stay here and I'll deal with Kaiba."

"Yeah! Crush him!" Tristan cheered. "I will. There's too much at stake here," Yami said.

"We're right with ya, Yugi!" Duke said.

"Good."

Am I hiding in the shadows?

Forget the pain, forget the sorrows

But I know I must go on

Although I hurt I must be strong

Because inside I know that many feel this way

Children don't stop dancing

Believe you can fly

Away…away…

/All right, Kaiba! You may think you're the best duelist, but the future of the world is riding on my victory/

Am I hiding in the shadows?

Are we hiding in the shadows?
