She had been there, then she had gone. It had been such a short time – three months, just three months. In that time, Alexa had become smart, spoiled, and paired with a petpet.
Then it all came crashing down.
Alexa's owner had pleaded time constraints, but if that were true, why didn't she send Alexa to the pound? Why force Alexa to put her pretty Uni hooves to the earth, her blue fur to be messed up by pure effort – why must Alexa be reduced to a pet struggling to survive?
Alexa's common sense was put to the test after being stranded in the wild with only minimal food, toys and a petpet. There must be one good place to stay, she reasoned. Tyrannia had free food, but Faerieland free healing! The Lost Desert had opportunities for money, and Mystery Island would have been a nice, relaxing place.
Alexa soon realised that the most effective solution would be to dig tunnels. She would go to all of these places, do all of the things she needed to do, get the food she needed to live, get the healings she needed to live...
It was all but a practical solution. The voyage between these lands took days, and Faerieland couldn't even be gotten to by tunnel because it was in the sky! Alexa had to depend on minuscule, 50NP winnings from the Fruit Machine to fund rare endeavours there by Uni Taxi.
And so she lived, for four weeks.
At last, there came a day. Snoozing early on one Meridellian morning, Alexa awoke to her Puppyblew's cheerful yapping. As she stirred some more, she heard something else.
"Alexa," cooed a female voice – her owner's. "Alexa. I'm back."
Alexa blinked several times, until a familiar face solidified. It was real. "Mom," Alexa mumbled. She sat up, then stood up, staring at her owner's image. "Mom," Alexa repeated.
She then leapt forward and gave her owner a huge hug.
Needless to say, she has been spoiled rotten ever since.
