Sarah sat in her living room staring at the fire in her fireplace thinking back to a time she was truly happy and felt the warmth she so desperately wanted at that moment. She didn't know what to do anymore her husband walked out of her life a year ago… she lived in this empty house alone wishing she could have changed things. Not with her now ex-husband but with her best friend the man she seemed unable to get off her mind.

She closed her eyes and remembered the night he had just walked out of her life…

He came home and checked the mail as he put his things away, He noticed a letter addressed to Sarah and didn't think much of it when he opened it like he always did. Sarah never cared If he opened her mail since she did it all the time herself. He read the letter a few times and dropped it on the floor unsure what to make of it. He went to the fridge and got a drink and sat down for a bit and thought as he waited for her to come home.

Sarah came home around 6 that night and noticed him on the couch " what's wrong?" she had asked him but got no reply as she walked in to the room.

He looked up at her and handed her the note " why Sarah, Why did you do this?"

She took the paper and read it and shook her head " I didn't…" she started but he stopped her

you didn't what want me to find out? he said angrily.

Sarah had rarely ever seen him angry and had never seen him angry with her before. "This . . . I," she started. He got up and glared at her, "He's confessing his love, Sarah!" "It has to be a mistake. Please, let's calm down." He shook his head, "No, you swore to me you and he wouldn't have any contact with each other and I can clearly see I have been mistaken." He walked off and grabbed his jacket before storming out the door and letting it slam behind him.

Sarah stood there in shock about what just happened for a few moments until she looked down at the letter and started to read it over and over again.

At first she thought it was tears over her husband but later she realized that they weren't they were for this letter. One of a confession of love and acceptances of not being the one she had picked. …

She sighed as she got up off the couch and shook her head and headed upstairs to relax in bed maybe with a book. She sat down and stared at the phone for a moment and decided it was now or never and dialed a number and waited for someone to pick up….
