Welcome one and all to my first story! Well, not really - but you don't need to worry about that. It is my first Sekirei story though so that's something. Alright, full disclosure: Sekirei I'm familiar with and have read the manga, watched the anime, etc - but it's not my favorite series. So I'm going in blind here, "winging it" so to speak. I'm going to try to do characters justice but at the end of the day I'm prepared to make some people unhappy and such. After all if you don't evoke something from your readers then who are you writing this for?

Right, the story. This is OC-centric so if that turns you off, you might want to find something else to read. But if you have nothing better to do, check out the first little teaser I have below.

Without further ado: read, review, enjoy

Disclaimer: I do not own Sekirei; if I did, the situation with certain characters would've turned out very differently and we'd have more than two seasons of the anime. It belongs solely to Sakurako Gokurakuin.

The drone of several helicopters filled the air as several swarmed over the city like wasps, each bearing a logo that had since become a household name.

MBI, also known as Mid Bio Informatics, had taken the world seemingly overnight. There had been controversy, rumor after rumor that had attempted to place the origin – the source – of their astonishing rise to power. Many spoke of a certain discovery that two college students – one of them now the chairman of MBI – had made years before.

Of course, this was just a rumor. But nothing short of an astronomical development could explain MBI's rise to power so quickly.

But rumors aside, the reality was MBI had become a global heavyweight in both the economic and political arena, taking all of Japan by storm. The influence of MBI had become far-reaching and nothing was left untouched, not even its esteemed history.

The city of Tokyo, Japan no longer existed. In its place now resided something grander, something more in line with the machinations of the country's self-proclaimed ruler.

Today, Shinto Teito stood in its place and had become the seat of power for one Minaka Hiroto, MBI's CEO.

And atop MBI's colossal clock-tower headquarters, this man stood upon the lip of his fortress and gazed out upon the land he had claimed as his. The people below, living their day-to-day lives had no idea how much their existences would be forever changed in the events to come. Only few other such as he could know, and even fewer to wonder just how far this would go.

But Minaka did; after all, he was the one to bring it all about.

With the wind billowing his super-hero like outfit about and the neon sea before him, Minaka threw his arms out and began his sermon to the city, nay, the world.

"People of this long decrepit era, hear my words and listen! The age of chaos and ruin is near its end and from the ashes, will come about an era of magnificence the likes of which we couldn't imagine!"

The city droned on as he ranted, but that was quite fine – his words would only be of cause for concern to those unenlightened and heeded as mere insanity to the masses.

"On this night, as the world turns ever so onward, we embark upon a great journey to glory the likes of which even God himself would tremble before! One hundred and eight baby birds have been set loose, and many have found their destined ones – thus, the stage has been set. The world will fall to its knees before this performance is concluded and at its end, we shall achieve perfection!"

There were many who claimed his ideas mad, insanity even. Sanity, he was quick to retort, was quite overrated when faced with sublime excellence of such a race of beings:

The existence of the Sekirei.

And with it, evolution itself bent its knee.

"Let this night herald the beginning of the first act, and of the last of this insipid state we call Humanity! Let it bear witness to the coming chaos from which we will emerge not as men, but as gods! I, Hiroto Minaka, am overwhelmed with joy to unveil to you: THE SEKIREI PLAN! HAHAHAHAHAHAH – hegh, eck, AGH!"

Damned city refuse. He'd have to get Takami to look over the zoning laws again. The last thing he needed was to choke of garbage before the meeting the promised end of his ambitions.

The sounds of weapons clashing and curses being herald echoed throughout the night. Explosions of concrete and other assorted debris rang throughout the night as shadowy figures met each other in a flurry of activity.

Through it all, three in particular bounded across the near empty streets, evading attacks from their pursuers. The harsh crack of a whip, the fluttering of cloth and the deafening thunder of bombs tore through the air.

"HOLD STILL!"

"WAAAH!"

Moonlight shone off the blade of one's scythe as it tried to cleave another in half, missing only by inches.

"Damn it! Get back here you little-!"

"Think fast bitch!"

The scythe wielder was struck in the side by the lash of a whip, thrown into the side of a building and left in a small crater.

The pinkette quickly bounded away before the scythe bearer could dig herself out, wailing all the way.

The whip mistress stamped her foot and growled, "A little thanks would've been nice! Ugh! Ungrateful little…"

The sound of spinning blades heralded the next adversary, forcing the whipster to leapt back or else be sawed in two.

"Tch, missed."

"We're really doing this again!? You're sure desperate to prove yourself," the blonde taunted the blade master who snarled at her.

"I'll have all the proof I'll need with your head!"

"Yeah, no."

A silky tendril lashed out around the midsection of the blade mistress and hurled her away from the battle, screaming obscenities all the while.

"I had it handled, Veil."

"Suuure you did," the one called Veil drawled. "And I'll bet that new haircut of yours was your idea too."

"Huh?! …oh, real hilarious Veil. Least I don't hide behind some weird costume in a fight. Seriously, what's your deal U-"

"Mind your business, Bee!"

"Listen you garment traipsing wh-!"

"Cut it out you two," a new voice rumbled with a tone of weariness. "We haven't got the time for it."

"Yes, Master," the two – now three, as evidenced by the pinkette's presence – intoned but not without a quick glare at the other.

A rustling nearby alerted them all to the scythe's owner recovering, if her swearing and threats wasn't enough indication.

"So that's who winged you three… Master's been after you for some time, kid. You're going to pay for all the grief you've caused him. I think your arm would serve as a down payment."

Whatever grievances the three might've had with each other, as Sekirei – as winged Sekirei – they all clustered defeensively in front of their Ashikabi and glared daggers at the enemy.

"Over my dead body," they all said fiercely.

The Death Scythe Sekirei just grinned at them, just more figures appeared from the shadows. "That's the idea."

The hounds of damnation had come for them it seems and in the face of it, "Bee" merely turned to her Ashikabi and smirked, "Let's see if practice makes perfect, Tamo-kun," and yanked him close with her whip.

She planted one on him, her translucent molten gold wings bursting from her back as she leaned into the kiss, cupping his cheek briefly before unraveling him with a smirk.

His freedom didn't last before he was reeled in once more, this time by a beautiful white-clothed brunette whose chocolate orbs glimmered enticingly down at him before she captured his lips for herself, adding a bit of tongue for good measure. Wings of the purest white burst from her back as well, lighting up the dark alley they were in. "Gonna have to work for the next one, cutie," she whispered with a wink before setting him loose again.

As he regained his balance, he turned to the last member of the trio who was fidgeting like some skittish mouse.

"I-um-I'm ready this time Master," the pinkette stammered, but let him pull her in this time, staying in his arm for a moment before she screwed up her face in a bad imitation of a puffer fish.

"Honestly, Kujou-chan," her Ashikabi sighed but captured her lips all the same, just as her hands flexed from the thrill his touch gave her.

Pretty pink wings came forth like the other two, glimmering in the air for a moment before their host broke contact with her Ashikabi.

As one, the three turned to face the new arrivals, each one brandishing their chosen weapon for the coming struggle.

The crack of a whip came from the blonde, the flutter of veils from the brunette and lastly the light of several orbs heralded the Ashikabi's Sekirei.

"Number thirty-eight: Mistuha – hope you're ready for a lashing!"

"Number ten: Uzume – blink and you'll miss me."

"N-number forty-nine: K-Kujou – ready t-to fight."

The scythe Sekirei scoffed, "Hah! Just three Sekirei? What do hope to do with them? But what the hell I'll indulge – Number forty-three, Yomi. The reaper's come to collect – your souls, that is."

The air was charged as Sekirei faced down Sekirei, each representing the hopes and dreams of their destined one.

It was a war plain and simple, and one Uemoto Tamtosu couldn't help but wonder:

"How the hell did I get here again?"

It's short, yeah, but I wanted to set the stage for what's to come. If you made it this far, congrats! Hopefully you'll let me know what you thought - if not, then that's just as well.

So, plans for this story: well, my OC is going to be a thorn in both Mikogami and Higa's side at some point - and both will have plenty of reason to want him gone.

The primary reason I made this was due to a few others enticing me to do it on a discord server, but the other was because I wanted to see if I could do it. Sekirei is unknown territory for me since it's both action-oriented and echii but there IS romance, which I have a handle on. And of course, if you made it this far you'll notice a few things:

Such as Mitsuha being with a different Ashikabi - and alive; Uzume not with Chiho, and another Sekirei with the name of Kujou.

I'll start off by saying that Kujou is a bit of a creative liberty. She was dealt with so quickly in canon that there's nothing known about her save for her appearance and personality which also, isn't much. Her official title will be No. 49 Kujou, the Flare Sekirei.

This will loosely follow canon to a point. But Minato will keep his flock and unless I think of something else, both Mistuha and Kujou will be the only ones from Mikogami and Higa's flock, respectively, that'll be in my OC's harem. Anything else however is fair game if there's a chance.

So strap in, and hold on. I can't promise anything along the likes of Ikrani and Phen0m20's stories but I'll give you something enjoyable at the very least.
