Welcome to my next story! This is here, so I don't get burnt out and get that random story idea out of my head before going crazy. Anyways. Have fun.
Edit: Story Rewritten, reasoning at bottom of the page.
Ever just had one of those days? I'm talking about a grey day where you can't remember anything.
Those days were practically all I had now.
I live on my own, and the few bits of my family I cared enough about are dead or in a mental hospital.
I have no real friends, no girlfriends, and no real dreams. I work only enough to supplement what I get from my grandmother's will and live alone in her old house.
Safe to say, my life is...Dull.
No real purpose to anything. I exist till I die, which is fine. I have the internet, and that's all I need to be fair.
Today I was struck by a rare case of motivation. A storm shook the house enough to drop an old hatch into the attic.
An attic I didn't know we had.
Seeing a rare chance for something new to happen, I traveled up.
"The hell?"
I was met by what seemed to be an old, finished office. A heavy wood desk sat in the middle, complete with a throne for a chair; the curious part was the second chair.
'The hell? Were they interviewing people up here? And why does it look familiar?'
I shrugged, turning around and grabbing some supplies.
Soon I had the whole thing cleaned, leaving it spotless.
'All else fails; I have a future in being an office jockey.'
I sat down, relaxing.
"Well, now, this is interesting."
Only to see that the other chair now had what could only be called a sinfully beautiful woman in it. She was around 5'5, yet she gave off the aura of someone much taller. She dressed in a red and black suit, gold highlights traveling through it. Her body filled out said suit beautifully, making it clear her form exists to tempt. Her skin was tanned; white hair fell over her shoulders, and her red eyes shone in amusement.
However, as distracting as all that was, what I saw shocked me.
Sharp enough to pierce through steel, two strong horns rose from her scalp.
Oh shit.
Oh, Fuck.
I recognize this.
As I said, I use the internet every day. And the SCP Foundation is one of the sites I frequent.
"SCP-738."
"Oh? I see I have a fan. You must know why I'm here if you know who I am."
Of course, he does. She, or he, tempts you into making a deal. More often than not, they are screwing you over.
A real Deal with the Devil scenario.
"Yeah...can I ask one question?"
"Hmm..since you cleaned my desk so well, I'll allow it."
"Just how many times did I nearly die?"
I wasn't a fool. Ignorance was bliss in the SCP Universe. Or rather, MY universe. People are a hair away from dying every day, only the Foundation stopping it.
"Around 200 times. Wow, you're a lucky one, huh? Surprised the Foundation hasn't snatched you up yet."
...please don't say that.
Also, TWO HUNDRED?
"Now then, how about that deal? What would you like?"
Of course, the first thing my eyes did was trace her form and judge me all you like, but the devil was hot.
"Why, thank you."
Oh shit, she can read my mind.
"That and your face gave it away. It's fine; I find it adorable how honest you mortals can be."
She leans over just enough that I might see a hint of cleavage.
"If you want me, That'll be your soul."
...Death by Snu-Snu?
No! Wake up!
I shook my head as I focused, remembering they chose their form based on whoever sat.
This says a lot about me.
"Sorry, but no. You're insanely beautiful, but I'd prefer not to lower you to being a mere whore."
She seemed a bit surprised before her smirk grew much more dangerous.
"Well, aren't you sweet..."
Oh, dear.
"Instead of asking for something, can I offer something instead?"
She seemed even more surprised.
"You want...to make ME an offer?"
I hope the role reversal doesn't piss her off.
She stared at me in shock before laughter rang throughout the air. The devil laughed at me; this is a good thing, right?
"Your kind has only grown more enjoyable throughout the years. Many have argued with me over the millennia, but few have ever tried selling me anything. Make your best pitch, dear."
Safe to say, I gave it some thought. The answer comes to mind readily.
"Me."
She raises a brow, slight confusion in her eyes.
"A person is made up of their past. Their memories and the memories everyone else has of them. I'm willing to sacrifice my existence, all my memories, and the memories others had of me, along with every bit of proof I ever existed. I only ask I keep all my knowledge."
Her smirk grew as I spoke before she immediately pulled out a form.
"You are undoubtedly one of the most exciting mortals I've met in a long time. The last negotiated with me until he passed out."
Dipping a feathered pen in her ink, she looked back over.
"I can offer you many things for such an enticing prize. Go ahead and name your price."
"Ever heard of Isekai?"
Her eyes lit up, and she filled out the contract quite quickly.
"Of course, and I can even throw in a few extras. If only because I'm intrigued at what you'll do next."
She passed over the pen and contract, and I signed myself away.
"As a favor, I'll allow you to keep this memory because I don't wish to be forgotten. Also..."
Her hand reached out and grabbed mine; the silky skin contrasted nicely with a searing pain burning into my palm. As she pulled away, I saw it was a silver pentagram.
"My Mark. It allows you to use a fraction of my power."
I gave it a look.
"Now then, I won't keep you. Enjoy your new life; I know I'll enjoy watching."
Looking up in confusion, I was met by what could only be called a break in reality. She stood in front of it; the desk had long gone as my sitting chair grew chains that lashed me down.
She sauntered over before flexing her fingers; brutal claws grew from her hand. I stared her in the eyes as she tore out my heart, making her more amused.
As I blacked out, I heard a voice.
"I can't wait to see what you do..."
{?}
I woke up in a cold sweat, the room dark.
"My head..."
Wondering what happened last night, I held my head only to see the mark now on my hand.
I shook my head as I walked out, my body heavy as I opened the door.
The light burned my eyes before I adjusted, showing I was in some cabin in the woods.
"And here we are."
I turned around, seeing her leaning against the door I had just walked through.
"And where is here exactly?"
A smirk crossed her face,
"Somewhere in the land of fire, decently away from any ninja patrols."
I was taken to the land of ninjas.
This.
This had potential.
"And my boon?"
Her face fell into shadow as she leaned forward, her hair covering her eyes.
"Ahh, yes, about that."
A crimson eye appeared in the darkness, "How about we make another deal?"
I raised a brow.
"See, you would be the first of your kind. A blank soul containing nothing but knowledge. No memories, no past. Nothing to influence you and your decisions. Usually, I would reincarnate you into a chosen vessel, where you would become one being. After which, I would give you a boon of your choosing. However, you are the first to come here with nothing, just information that once meant something to you. To give you new memories feels...wasteful."
She stepped forward, drawing my eyes to how her body seemed to seduce me with every step.
'She's doing this on purpose.'
A grin was my only answer.
"In exchange for a second boon, you will allow me to 'drop you in,' so to speak. No memories, no past to draw on. A blank slate."
This was tempting; I could use a second boon. Naruto was a death world, after all.
"Could I gain more boons?"
Damn my greed.
Her eyes shone with delight.
"Of course, I firmly believe everything has a price after all."
She brings out a clipboard and a pair of glasses, again exposing my fetishes.
"Currently, you have one boon; you would gain a second by accepting my ' drop-in' option, a third would require a sacrifice of your entire chakra system, a fourth would need the gift of a tremendously evil soul, and a fifth would require you complete a great task."
One usually wouldn't take such risks; however, I wanted to clap the devil's cheeks. Only one man could rival my sheer determination to impress Lucifer.
And he's named Helltaker.
"Give me everything."
I shit you not; it looked like she just orgasmed.
"Good..."
Her hand waved over me, and I could feel the changes taking place; I never awakened my chakra, but I could feel it leave.
"Now, what task would you like to complete?"
I, of course, chose the most difficult.
"I will unite the Elemental Nations."
Instantly, my arm started burning; I hissed in pain as that tattoo now had chains growing from it, twisting their way down my arm. Lifting my shirt saw that they now circled my heart.
"Failure to pay your debt will result in me claiming your soul. Luckily for you, I'm a patient woman; you only fail when you die."
Her mood instantly brightened, "Now, let's get you kitted out! What shall you wish for as boons?"
Instantly I began to think. 'Focus; Focus right now, you shit. I'm in a world where I don't have access to its power system. How do I survive?'
Then it hit me.
"I want to be a Conduit."
She raised a brow, "A novel choice, what kind?"
I couldn't help the grin on my face. "Natural energy."
Once again, I had shocked the devil; her grin grew to match my own.
"What else?"
This next one was absolutely needed. "Ranma Satome's talent in martial arts."
"Ooh, yet another novel idea. Next?"
You can't rule without allies, right? "I want the Evil Presence spell from Overlord 2; modified, of course."
"In what way?" She asked.
"Instead of making others mindless slaves, it makes them devoted followers."
"Enslaving others to your will? How devilish of you..." She winked.
More like refusing to trust a ninja. "I want Biomancy on par with Panacea."
"Wicked; I could imagine why you would desire such a thing. And finally?"
I stared her right in the eyes. "A date."
She stopped, looking over at me as if contemplating my existence. "Really now?"
"I want you, but I won't buy you. I'll buy a chance instead. A chance to win you over."
She strode over to me, her hands lying on my chest. She inched closer, just a breath away from my ear.
"Conquer this world. Break its men and claim its women. When you reach the very top, I'll be there waiting."
She leaned back, smiling as her hand lit up in flames, the fire consuming me before the pain made me black out.
I woke sometime later, alone but...different.
I could feel the power all around me, just waiting to be claimed. I held nothing back, opening the floodgates and allowing all the raw natural energy around me to surge into my form. Instantly I could feel it get work purging my body, any harmful essences forced out through my pores. As a conduit, I had a connection to nature that modern sages could only dream of. Luckily there was a river nearby to wash away all the gunk dripping off my skin.
As I sat there, I focused on my other boons. My body shifted and grew at my will, A hand on my chest allowing me to read my body's state.
Quickly, I made some changes: I made myself tall, a solid 6'1 instead of 5'10. I also added some size to my equipment. My form became even more potent and built; my Conduit DNA helped. Soon I was the best version of myself; looking at my reflection in the water, I was amazed to see my minor imperfections gone. A much more handsome man looked back at me. Average wasn't going to cut it for my plans after all.
Leaving the water and grimacing at the gunk left behind, I quickly focused on my other skills. Blue lightning went through my fingers, crashing against a nearby tree. Next, I began to go through the motions of random martial arts, instantly, my body began to correct my movements, and I was going through katas like I had done them my entire life.
"Alright, it's official. I'm broken as all hell."
Which was a necessity in this world.
Usually, these abilities would allow you to curb stomp everyone; however, with ninja bullshit? I was only in the upper tiers. Gotta grow my power and my following first.
Speaking of...
"Where in the hell am I? And 'When' in the hell am I?"
Here we go, everyone! First, sorry for the delay; my laptop went kaput, and I had to save money for a new one. Second, I rewrote this story! Sorry for those who liked it before; it just felt...lifeless to me. I wanted to add my own spark. Just so we're all on the same page, the protag is a Natural Energy Conduit, A Martial Arts Savant, can use a modified Evil Presence, and Panacea's Power. In exchange, he has to unite the Elemental nations and kill someone genuinely evil.
All without chakra, training, and a past.
This will be fun.
