Odysseus sat on his bed, thinking. He had fallen in love with a beautiful woman, Syrus. She belonged to the kingdom of Ithaca, just like Odysseus did.

They had proclaimed there love for each other a few days ago after

Now Odysseus sat on his bed, thinking of a way to propose to her. He had wanted it to be special, for she was very special to him. He was thinking hard, very hard… when a knock came from his door. "Come in" he said stressfully.

It was Cyrus, he looked up and smiled. She walked over to him, and sat down beside him, as he put his arm around her, she could sense something was wrong.

"What is it my love, for I sense that something is bothering you." she said putting her hand on his cheek.

He smiled, and brought his hand and put it in his lap, and stroked it affectionately.

"Nothing my love." He did not look into her eyes.

He thought of the way that they had met, and how they had fallen in love with each other right after looking into each others' eyes. He looked up to find her eyes swimming with concern; he smiled, and lay down, with Syrus following him.

He pulled her into him and kissed her, she kissed him back. He snaked his arm up her thigh and onto her waist. She smiled, "why do you insist on teasing me?"

He smiled and looked at her, "don't you dare!" Syrus replied, knowing the look on Odysseus's face. He was going to tickle her, and as he started giggles escaped Syrus's mouth.

But then suddenly a knock came from the door, both lovers looked up. Odysseus, put on his breast plate, and went towards the door. He opened it slightly, realizing that it was just a messenger boy, he opened it more widely. (Syrus was sitting on the bed now)

"My lord Odysseus, king Agamemnon requests your presence in his hall, for all the kings of Greece are gathering there" read the messenger off the scroll. He handed Odysseus the scroll, bowed and then walked away.

Odysseus closed the door and with his hands behind his back he bowed his head.

"What is it?" asked Syrus.

"Oh nothing" he replied. Syrus tilted her head to the side. Odysseus sighed "Agamemnon, had called a meeting of the kings of Greece, therefore, I am required to go!" there was a hint of anger in his voice. It was dark outside now.

Odysseus climbed into bed, and so did Syrus, she pulled the thin sheet above her naked body. Odysseus pulled her closer to him, and placed a kiss on top of her forehead. "I leave tomorrow" he stated plainly. She looked into his eyes, "you must do what you must" she said, softly placing a kiss on his lips.

"please don't be upset with me" he pleaded, she touched his cheek "I am not." She stated.

it was now or never thought Odysseus, he reached over to the table beside his bed.

"Syrus, you know that I will forever love you, so I ask you to be by my side forever, will you be my wife?" he opened his hand and he showed her the ring.

Tears brimmed on her eyes. she hugged him, and said "I will!" he kissed her, it was passionate yet gentle, as he slipped the ring onto her finger…
