Peter opened the curtains to his home and looked out as his home also doubled as his headquarters. Grunting, he felt more nightmares, at least that's what his wife says they are, flooding in.
He saw flashes of himself fighting the Goblin in New York. He watched as he wasn't able to save Gwen. He was fighting aliens, Thanos came to Earth, and he lost against the alien.
Peter calmed himself down as his constant stirring awoke his wife. Getting up on the bed, she looked at her husband as she reached over and grabbed her glasses.
"Babe, why are you up?" She asked as she uncurled herself to keep herself awake.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you." Peter apologized as he looked out to the pouring rain outside.
"Nightmares again?" She asked as she walked up and placed her chin on his shoulder.
Peter smiled and looked over at her with a smile. "What did I do to deserve someone as amazing as you?"
"Well, you got down on one knee..." she whispered jokingly, earning a laugh from Peter. "And asked me to pledge my life to you, and in return, you'd do the same." She then leaned over and pecked his cheek. "And a lifetime supply of happiness. And I don't regret saying yes."
"What about all of those Resistance fighters?" Peter asked her.
"I know my safety is your number one priority." She whispered.
"It is." Peter agreed as he reached up and cupped her face. "And it always will be."
"And that's why I said yes," she whispered as she leaned in, as did Peter, this time aiming for the lips.
"I love you, Gwen." Peter whispered to his wife:
