Yukari. A name that inspires fear. For the warden of fantasy has long since watched over this land from the shadows, ruling with an iron fist. A fist that encases, and destroys those that upset her order. Change is on the horizon. For in the wake of disaster, new purpose strides forward. Marching on, with vengeful ambition, the remnants unite. It is time to kill the Boundary yokai.

1. Chapter 1

Prologue

A group of seven powerful beings known as the Seekers of Vengeance were all gathered around a table in what looked like a run-down shrine to one of the many gods that lived in Gensokyo, all of them with their features hidden.

"At last… we can start now," said their leader, Sadamara. "So which one do we start with?"

"Let me see…" pondered her second hand Kuroshiro. "How about the one in the library of the Scarlet Devil Manor?"

"Wait, as in the house the Scarlet siblings and their servants live in?" said Kokuto, seizing the chance to avenge her dead master, "Please, let me have that one. I believe Remilla was the one who killed Shinchikai Natsu."

"Oh? Happy coincidence, then," said Sadamara. "Go for it. But to be honest, I think you need backup."

"I'll go," offered Frozenblaze, raising her hand.

"OK, it's in a book on the top of this bookcase," said Kuroshiro as she attempted to create a picture of a book and a bookcase. So, do you think you could create a distraction?

"Yes. I'll go right now," said Sadamara in an increasingly maniacal tone of voice. "Seven days… Seven days… Death will come… In seven days… Her death will come… …In seven days! Heeheehee… HAHAHA!"

Sadamara then vanished in a manner similar to TV turning off and her TV screen vanished in the same way. Kokuto and Frozenblaze then left through the portals Kuroshiro opened.
