A/N: How about we get to know our Cast Members a little better? Starting with the newest additions, beginning with Callie Ann's daughter, Mulan Maddox!

Character Questions - Mulan Maddox

Full name: Hua Mulan Sareena Maddox

Nickname: Cowgirl (Playful Nickname by Dakini), Mu (by her family), Mulan (what she prefers to be called)

Occupation: PI for the Tribal Detective Agency

Appearance: Raven black hair that she ties in a low braided ponytail or in a neat bun with a white bow to keep either hairstyle in place. She has Chinese facial features, but her mother's genetics give her tanned skin and eyes with noticeable heterochromia. Her left eye is purple while her right is a blueish green. Her mother's genes also gave her heart-shaped lips that are fuller than a Chinese woman, but not as full as a black woman's.

Age: 9500 (Looks like she's 20)

Mannerisms: Very confident, bold, blunt, and lackadaisical when it comes to others' feelings or opinions. Always speaks her mind, and her tongue may as well be laced with silver. She acts similarly to Callie during Arc I but replaces the cocky attitude with a more dead serious nature. But with her parents being Callie Ann and Kung Lao, can you really blame her for acting so sure of herself?

What does he/she wear?: Gray Duster with the collar popped, matching slacks, a black tucked-in shirt, and a white tie with matching shoes. Her Ruger Blackhawk revolver is strapped in a holster on her upper left leg. While she materializes her weapons, she sometimes carries her favorite melee weapons, a Han Jian or a Qiang (spear) in her right hand since she's left-handed. When in a serious battle, she materializes her most powerful tool, a Mask that looks similar to the one you'd find in Chinese Opera since she loves Chinese Theater, thanks to her dad. As to why she wears a suit. When Koga brought her on board as the first non-family member to be a PI for TDA, he asked her what she wanted as a pseudo-uniform. Chizuru suggested a suit since Mulan was quite the tomboy.

Favorite color: Scarlet Red

What is he/she good at?: Mulan is a Master of Arms thanks to her training in Weapons by Xan and Kim. She prefers the use of her Han Jian, Qiang, and Revolver. Though she's also pretty skilled with a Bow and Arrow. She doesn't want to show her little cousin Dakini up.

What is he/she bad at?: Can stand to keep her mouth shut more often. Not that she's cocky or anything, but she doesn't seem aware the things she says can hurt someone else's feelings. At times, this can lead others to think that she's confrontational. In truth, what she says or thinks is solid criticism. If you look past the barbs that came with her words, it is.

What does he/she want?: Prevent this timeline from succumbing to Onaga's Madness.

What is his/her goal?: Help her friends and family with dealing with their rogue's galleries.

What lie does he/she believe?: That she can handle every villain the GbNF cast fights against by herself as Callie Ann and Kung Lao's daughter.

What flaw results from the lie?: Unless she's battling alongside her family, Mulan hates working with others and is extremely selective on who she trusts. Similar to Callie Ann at the beginning of GbNF. Guess you can say it's hereditary.

What truth does he/she learn?: It's perfectly acceptable to receive aid from others and still be deemed as ridiculously strong.

What is his/her background?

In the tales of the Messenger, it is often said that they cannot conceive, a price for their incredible powers. The truth much like anything else is complicated. If they're the right species, Messengers can in fact conceive and have children. The only reason why that myth was told was that no Messenger lived long enough to have a next of kin. Until Callie Ann became the Messenger. In another timeline where the events of GbNF have happened, Callie Ann did give birth to a child and became a mother. And her only child's name is Mulan, named after the first Chinese heroine.

What resulted was Mulan's instant gift of the rare and powerful Reality Magic, a combination of Illusion and Creation Magic. The rare School of Magic was difficult for Mulan to contain, especially when she was still an infant. So her future mother placed a majority of her power into a Mask. Mulan grew up under the loving care of her parents as well as her aunts and uncle, including friends of the Maddox Family in the Shio Family. She was even taught how to use the weapons of her favorite Chinese Opera, Mulan. By the time she was an adult (in Edenian, anyway), she became a complete master of the Jian, Spear, and Bow but decided to switch out the Bow and Arrow for Revolver in honor of her mother's military service.

Mulan would fight alongside her family as their enemies surfaced one by one, including the Dragon King Onaga. While many lives were lost in the coming war, the Forces of Light were victorious. However, Mulan quickly thought of the other timelines that weren't so lucky.

The victory they earned was by the skin of their teeth, so she could only imagine how bad it could be for others. Using her unrestrained powers thanks to her mask, she started traversing the multiverse and encountered the same cycle over and over again. Leaving after the fight with Onaga was finished, win, lose, or draw. Eventually meeting her cousin in another timeline and encouraging Dakini to help her in preventing Onaga's madness in becoming the One Being to come true in another timeline.

Now it's time for Hua Mulan Maddox to make her appearance in front of her family for one last time. She'll be done with the timeline traveling after this. If they're victorious, she'll celebrate with them. If they lost, she would grieve.

And vanish without a trace.

Additional Questions about Mulan

- How close are Dakini and Mulan?

Mulan and Dakini share a bond that borders on sisterhood. Mulan's pretty protective of her cousin and that extends to Ted, Ruby, and Randy. Mulan was the one who inspired Dakini to go to the timeline she ends up in thanks to her experience crossing many different dimensions. She looks out for her whenever she can but can't do it all the time, even with her ridiculous powers.

(A bond that doesn't surprise me at all, seeing as their mothers were able to repair their own relationship as to not repeat history)

- What is Mulan's view on Edenia?

Mulan doesn't like being in Edenia. She feels like an outcast despite being half Edenian. Plus one of the many constants of the different timelines she's been in, Edenian populous' opinions on the Maddox Clan is one of them. They do not like them much thanks to the Dacarthi Family's influence. (Save for Mai because everyone loves her)

Add in her extremely rare case of heterochromia, and Mulan feels like a circus animal whenever she's around pure Edenian people. You'll see this soon, but whenever Mulan is in Edenia for whatever reason, she wears sunglasses to hide her eyes. Her personal feelings towards Edenia are mixed. She understands that Edenia being a separate realm from Outworld is much better than her being merged, but that doesn't mean she has to like it. Needless to say, she enjoys being half-human.

(Completely understand where Mulan is coming from. At least from this exert, her response to Edenia and its people are much better and lighter than her own mother's. Perhaps Dakini helped in that regard)

Editor's Thoughts

Then

I'm afraid I don't have too many thoughts on Mulan as I've only seen her in one section of writing. I'll need to see more of her interactions with the other characters to form a decent opinion. Though I will say there are a lot of her parents' personalities within her own. That should be telling enough.

Now

Mulan clearly takes after Callie but does have some things after Kung Lao as well. A very interesting combo when I had the chance to see her in action. She's a mesh of their personalities while forming her own identity. I truly believe Mulan and Dakini are the future of the Maddox clan. At least, until Ruby, Randy, and Ted all grow older.

Instead of questions, state below Mulan's opinion of her relatives. (Won't name the deceased. I.e., Destiny, Manuel, Joseph. Unless you want to)

Benji

Shocker, Mulan loves her uncle. She especially loves teasing and joking with him, like her mother. Benji knows she's merely playing and allows it since she knows the boundaries and never takes them too far. Despite preferring to be with her parents, Mulan regularly makes her presence known in Benji, Jade, and Sareena's home, much to their delight after they got used to her being around.

Sareena

Sareena is her favorite out of her two step-aunts. Obviously, since Mulan's middle name is Sareena. Possibly since she views herself as an outsider in Edenia, it allows her to relate to Sareena more since she's arguably the biggest outsider in the cast. To Sareena, Mulan's a younger version of her sister-in-law and adores her as such.

Jade

Much like how Sareena views Mulan as a younger Callie, Jade also views Mulan that way. Taking another mannerism from her mother, Mulan also calls her JJ out of affection. Jade has less patience for Mulan's jokes and remarks than Sareena and Benji do thanks once again to her viewing Mulan as a younger (and cockier) Callie Ann. But she knows this is just Mulan displaying the trademarked Maddox sass along with her being the daughter of Kung Lao. She does admire her behavior as a warrior and even admires her work with her Qiang Spear. Wish we could say the same with her Revolver, and the reason why she decided to use one. Just Jade being old-fashioned, so it's nothing to worry about.

Mai

Mai's discovery of her grandmotherhood made her even more upbeat and she cherishes Dakini. So it shouldn't be a surprise that she views Mulan similarly. Mai doesn't approve of the clothes Mulan wears, though not to the same extent since she's dressed nicely. Mulan is dressed like a man with her formal coats and suits and ties. Seeing that Mai was the prankster in her youth, she and Mulan get along extremely well.

Okada

The eccentric Uncle/Granduncle of the cast, Okada is caring. Recent events have made him busy, with Shinnok fighting one side of the Netherrealm War against his lord Duffeck. But he sees Mulan and Dakini the same way my editor does. The Future of the Maddox Clan.

Ilah

Want to talk about underutilized cast members. Look no further than Mai's best friend. I should really use Ilah more often with the role she'll play in the final arcs. The most notable thing Ilah has done was either kill Dairou or introduce Everest, the Ice Phoenix. But Ilah being Mileena and Sindel's Kombat Instructor demands a bigger presence. Mulan sees Ilah much like everyone else. Battle-Hardened, if not horrifying Kombat Veteran who should not be taken lightly.
