Lynn had to force herself through the rest of the school day, despite the reappearance of the split personalities taken forms far worse than voices, she had hoped initially that it was just a bad dream and that she would wake up at any moment, the brunette lost hope in that idea the longer the day went on.
Lynn was waiting for Lincoln outside of the school, finding herself mentally flabbergasted at the fact she was both alone and not alone at the same time, Lynn-Sanity was standing by her side, that aggressive personality would have been enough by itself, then the other apparition began to make itself clear as of a few hours ago, Dismal Lynn's form lay nearby on the steps, looking like it was doing the best impression of a corpse that it could manage.
"If you really wanted to make Clyde stay quiet, you just needed to land a few hits of your own, we're a lot stronger than Lincoln after all." Lynn-Sanity repeated what it had said several times today, the 5th oldest Loud refused to reply, she just found this impossible to believe, no one else could see them, and they both seemed all too eager to screw with her, the worst part was that it was only those two, Miss Lynn was nowhere to be seen nor heard, which did nothing but confuse the real Lynn.
"I can't be hallucinating, I was through with you, I was doing better...!" Lynn held her head in disbelief while those same thoughts kept repeating themselves repeatedly, it still sounded like their voices were in her head, yet now it felt more like a terrifying haunting than anything.
"Who cares? Clyde's going to tell everyone anyway, our lives are over." Dismal exhaled while rolling onto their side on the steps, the sporty Loud did not want to think Clyde would tell anyone about her and Lincoln's relationship, at worst he might cut off all communication with them and no longer see them as friends, as much as she hated the idea of her brother losing his best friend, this situation with Clyde was one that was far out of their control.
"Hey Lynn, sorry I took a while." Lincoln's voice caught her attention, she snapped her head to the steps and saw Lincoln stepping right through Dismal, the brunette did not know why that made her feel uncomfortable, it just seemed wrong seeing someone walk through another being like that, even if they were just in her head.
Lincoln was caught off guard when Lynn practically latched onto him with a tight hug, he gently patted her back in confusion, although he was a lot happier with this treatment than her being angry at him for exposing their secret to Clyde unintentionally.
"What's going on?" The middle Loud sibling requested an explanation, pulling away from her, oblivious to the two split personalities that were near him, instead of an answer, Lynn grabbed his hand and began to pull him along, wanting to get away from the school before announcing the truth to him.
"You're what?" Lincoln questioned in disbelief, the two now standing at the park, it was a rather calm and peaceful place, it had been the first thing that had come to the aspiring sports star's mind for where they were able to talk.
"I'm hallucinating. It's the voices, except now they're not just voices!" Lynn repeated what she had already told her brother, the brunette's gaze drifting to the ground, she appeared fully ashamed to be admitting it, like the 5th oldest Loud felt guilty for having these problems still even after everything she had been through.
"Did you hit your head? Maybe you just forgot to take your medicine this morning?" Lincoln tried to rationalize the situation, motioning for his pregnant sister to calm down, albeit he never heard of a mental condition getting this bad after someone was off their medicine for only a day.
"My head's been feeling fine, and I know I took my medicine today, I was talking with Lucy while I did." Lynn replied as she crossed her arms, the young couple was in a separate corner of the park, one that had just a few trees within it that all was mostly ignored by many of those that came through the park. "I don't know what's going on, they just appeared today." She explained, unsure if the stress of the situation with Clyde had been the last straw or merely a coincidence.
"Well, what are they doing?" Lincoln could not help but ask, watching his girlfriend lean to the left a little to look behind him, she saw Lynn-Sanity was hanging upside down by their legs from a tree branch, doing ab crunches, whereas Dismal Lynn was sitting down in front of the tree, knees pulled up to their chest.
"They're both being weird." Lynn answered, hiding the fact if she wasn't pregnant then she would most likely be doing the same thing as the aggressive split personality at this point, even while currently wanting to bash her own head against a hard surface until the hallucinations went away. She hoped this did not mean the split personalities could take control of her body easier, the sports loving Loud remembered those nightmares she had all too well, Lincoln could tell that his girlfriend was scared, he understood it, though something she said peaked his interest.
"Both? You mean there's only two?" Lincoln pointed out what she said, Lynn blinked and found herself looking all around herself again, it was just Dismal and Lynn-Sanity to the 5th oldest Loud sister's knowledge, Miss Lynn was nowhere to be seen.
"I guess so..." Lynn rubbed her neck nervously, it was one thing to be stuck with one alright personality and two terrible ones, the auburn-haired Loud now found herself becoming increasingly unnerved as the realization sank in that she might be stuck with these two personalities, with no relief from a third one that somewhat cared about her overall wellbeing.
"We're going to Lisa." Lincoln declared; he was not going to wait until Lynn's next psychologist appointment for her to get help. Lynn wanted to argue against her brotherly boyfriend's orders, though she took notice of Dismal casting a glance over to the sports loving Loud, only for the split personality to then slam the back of their head full force against the tree they laid against, the hallucination had blood dripping down from the back of its head where it had hit its own skull against the tree, those beady red eyes of the depressed split personality's kept a firm lock on Lynn's as the crimson trickled down onto its shoulders.
"She won't be able to help us..." Dismal's hollow voice echoed out, Lynn was almost deadlocked in a staring match with the depressed split personality, the brunette eventually freed her gaze when she found herself being reminded of the day that her and Lincoln had been attacked, nodding to her brother after a moments delay.
"Let's go, I don't know how much of this I can take." Lynn swallowed, Lincoln was glad to hear her agree to see their genius sister instead of trying to stubbornly tackle this on their own, it was almost like the pregnant teen had learned quite a lot from her personal failed efforts at trying to battle the split personalities by herself. They dropped the conversation there, the white-haired boy trying to keep calm and be reassuring, thinking it would be as simple as a change of medication and they would be able to focus on their lives once more, the young couple leaving the park to make their way straight home.
When they got back home, things seemed normal as usual, though they did take notice that their parents were not home currently, the two stepping inside and tossing off their coats onto the nearby rack.
"Welcome home you two! You're home early today, everything alright?" Luan asked from the couch, having been flipping through channels boredly until they arrived, normally Lincoln and Lynn took a while to get home lately, always being busy after school it seemed like. The comedic Loud became worried when seeing her sister's expression, a face of upset uncertainty that Luan had not seen for a couple of months now, the 4th oldest Loud did not get a chance to say anything further.
"I've had better." Lynn flatly replied as she made her way straight upstairs, leaving her boyfriend alone to handle their joker of a sister.
"Mood swings finally kicking in?" Luan quirked a brow while seeing her brother stepping over to her, taking a seat on the couch beside the prank loving Loud, he wanted to be with Lynn but had a feeling the sporty Loud might be more comfortable talking to Lisa alone.
"I wish." Lincoln could not believe he was saying that, but anything was better than hallucinating people that weren't truly there in his eyes. Luan took notice of his injuries now that he was closer, she wanted to inquire into them, however she knew he would either not answer or vanish when questioned while insisting there was nothing wrong at all.
"Be careful what you wish for." Luan reminded her only brother, the older girl had been getting along far better with Lynn lately, they had become probably the closest Lincoln had ever seen the two of them ever be in his entire life.
Luan had surprisingly held true to her promise about not pranking Lynn, albeit her not being in the mood to do any practical jokes did have a hand in that, at first it had started out as simple things, spending more time together, Lynn even finally went to one of Luan's standup shows, the 4th oldest Loud was pleased to get her sister to laugh, though when a heckler tried causing trouble Luan used their mockery as ammunition for harsh on the spot improv.
While it went well in the club she had been performing in, when Luan tried to leave out through the back door the individual she had turned into a short joke tried to attack her, Lynn being there was a blessing in disguise, though the joke loving Loud still found herself scared of her little sister to a degree after it was all said and done, that sheer brutality Lynn displayed on the man had been cruel, even if justified. Since that day transpired, Luan and Lynn had a new and stronger bond.
"So, are you excited to be a dad?" Luan suddenly spoke up while leaning back in her seat, arms behind her head, Lincoln felt his heart skip a beat when hearing that, the white-haired boy hesitantly casting a glance over to her, terror striking his body at the seemingly harmless query, only a handful of people were supposed to know he was the father of Lynn's children at the moment, Luan was not on that list, it made him feel like today was gradually becoming more stressful each passing minute.
"H-How did...?" Lincoln swallowed hard, fumbling over his own question, no one else was in the living room or kitchen, it seemingly was just the two of them, their other siblings were either busy in other parts of the house or were simply not home with their parents, that was the only reason the comedian was speaking so freely.
"Some nights I stay up late working on my new material, I've seen her sneaking into your room 3 times this week alone." Luan explained, since the prankster now had a whole room to herself, she found she was now able to do things that Luna used to make harder to do, working on her improv shtick and coming up with new pranks or magic tricks late into the night was one of those things.
Luan had only caught Lynn sneaking into Lincoln's room by coincidence, but all three times she saw the sports loving Loud sneak into their only brother's room, she never was awake long enough to see Lynn ever exist that room, the dots in Luan's head connected themselves automatically from there.
"Ugh, dang it..." Lincoln grumbled while holding his head, Lynn sneaking into his room was not unusual, nor was it really sneaking when he expected her half the time now. At first, Lincoln did not know why his girlfriend was doing it, there were just some nights where Lynn was simply unable to sleep and outright hated spending the nights alone, the 5th oldest Loud was not able to explain why, it was just an inexplicable desire to spend some time cuddled up to her boyfriend while sleeping, as much as the bucktoothed teenager wanted to insist they needed to be more careful at home, the white-haired boy relented with little resistance, and gave up arguing all together when he began finding the mornings far better when he woke up alongside Lynn.
"It's complicated, and not really my place to say what happened." Lincoln could only say, though before his older sister could speak, he cut her off, "But yeah, I'm happier than I have been in a long time." He lately answered the comedian's question, Luan did not know what to think or say when hearing that, it sounded so genuine that she could not argue against his joy.
"I'm not going to tell mom and dad, if that's what you're worried about." Luan tried to assure her brother, if she thought he was being taken advantage of by Lynn then the comedian wouldn't waste any time in exposing the secret to protect him, that was one reason the 4th oldest Loud sister was able to be calm in the situation, the other was because she did not want to ruin things with Lynn just when their relationship was starting to become strong, especially after the sporty Loud saved her from that heckler.
"Thanks Luan..." Lincoln held his head, glad to get some mercy from his luck today, he was more worried about Lynn right now though given her reemerging issue with the split personalities. The bucktoothed boy blinked when seeing a piece of paper get held in front of his face, it had a dozen names written on it, he took it from his comedic sibling.
"That's all the baby names I could think of before my brain started drawing blanks." Luan stated, it was not much, but it was not zero either.
"Wow, there isn't a single joke written down here." Lincoln couldn't help but comment, he imagined that showed how seriously his older sister had taken this if she had not tried to slip in any jokes onto the name suggestions for the unborn twins. "Lincoln Junior? Seriously?" He quirked a brow when seeing that one on the list.
"I 'incest' on that one." Luan gave a toothy grin, Lincoln had a feeling he was going to have to live with a lot of those jokes in private from now on, he just laid back and tried to relax with his sister for the time being.
When Lynn got to Lisa's room, she saw the door was closed, she normally would take that as enough of a hint that it was probably either not a good time to go in or a new experiment was being performed. The brunette shook off that hesitation, she would make it up to her 2nd youngest sister later for interrupting, she banged heavily on the door three times in quick succession.
"What is it? I'm in the process of something important." Lisa's voice chimed up from the other side of the door.
"It's me, Lisa, sorry but I need your big brain again, it's an emergency." Lynn apologetically claimed, hating to be disturbing her younger sibling like this when things had been fine as of late, one glance to her left and the brunette could see Lynn-Sanity standing there, leaning a hand on the door with an eager grin on their face.
"This door isn't that sturdy, one straight kick and down it goes." The aggressive split personality offered, only to be ignored by Lynn as she turned her head away from it, she wanted to just run away, sadly fleeing from the hallucinations had done no good for her, after a moment, the sporty Loud saw the door open.
"Alright, you may enter." Lisa said from the open doorway, only a few things could make the child prodigy break away from her experiments, being told she was needed for an emergency was one of those.
"Are you here for medical assurance for the unborn children again?" Lisa took a guess as to why Lynn was there, one of the biggest fears the 5th oldest Loud had were mostly related to her unborn babies' health, the genius Loud had to spend a week dissuading all fears related to the children being formed out of incest.
"No, it's not that..." Lynn replied, though paused when seeing Lynn-Sanity still standing outside the open door, the sports loving girl closed the door in the split personality's face before turning back to her little sister.
Lisa was the one Lynn had been spending the most time with whenever she was trying to bond with her family members, the 2nd youngest Loud had been acting as the teacher for the aspiring sports star, as the pregnant Loud focused on her grades more due to her physical limitations currently, Lisa also had expressed immense interest in studying her throughout her pregnancy, at first Lynn was unsure about it, though having someone who basically was a doctor, if not smarter than one, sounded like something great for her, in return for Lisa acting as the unborn twin's unofficial doctor, Lynn tried to be a good lab assistant, to heavily mixed results.
Lynn still sometimes had nightmares about a few of those tests.
"What seems to be the issue then?" Lisa requested her sister get to the point, letting Lynn take a seat on the nearby bed that she had gotten all too accustomed to using as a makeshift exam table this past month.
"It's the voices, I don't think my medicines working anymore." Lynn got straight to the point, saying it in a matter-of-fact manner, the announcement made her 2nd youngest sister freeze in place, Lisa slowly turned back around to face her sister, a serious expression on her spectacled face.
"You're hearing voices again? Is it all 4 of them?" Lisa pressed for more information, while going over and grabbing several pieces of her medical equipment, pulling her chair over to the aspiring sports star and beginning to do a basic checkup on her.
"No, just 2 of them... But It's way more than just hearing now." Lynn answered, her eyes darting around the room on the lookout for the two split personalities, she saw no signs of them currently, almost as if shutting the door on one had worked a tad, the pregnant Loud did not dare hope things were that easy, she knew it wouldn't be. Lisa looked up to Lynn with a raised brow, silently requesting her to continue.
"I'm seeing them, Lis, like they're really there." Lynn insisted, feeling Lisa remove the blood pressure cuff from her arm, so far everything about the sporty Loud appeared normal.
"Hallucinations? That doesn't make sense..." Lisa murmured while holding her head. "I was worried and fully prepared for the possibility of the voices returning, but they should not have worsened into visual hallucinations." The child genius continued while she went to her nearby computer, starting to go over the many documents she had written up between herself and Doctor Deacon about Lynn's mental woes.
"Wait, you were expecting them to come back? Why? How come you didn't tell me that while I was in the psyche ward?" Lynn was insulted now, she hated it when people withheld things from her just because they thought she might not be able to handle the truth, this seemed like an important detail for the person suffering from split personality disorder to know, it made the 5th oldest Loud begin to question if she was ever better to begin with.
"Stress isn't good for the babies, I estimated you would be far happier in ignorant bliss than being drowned in paranoia." Lisa explained her reasoning for not coming out and saying this, the truth of the matter was that the 2nd youngest Loud sister wanted her family to be happy as well, she didn't want to destroy that newfound hope Lynn had acquired during that hellish week spent in the hospital.
"Which personalities have manifested? You said it was only two, correct?" Lisa asked while typing away at her computer.
"Dismal and Lynn-Sanity, I don't know why it's just those two, I can't hear Miss at all... I thought I had been hearing whispering for a month or two now, but it was always in public places, so I ignored it." Lynn tried to begin recounting what she thought had been going on, she brought the whispering up to her psychologist once, though he was the one who put that idea of it being nothing in the sporty Loud's head.
"Then I started seeing weird shadows, they had no shape but... They were staring at me, I swear. Then outside of school today, they stopped being shadows and turned into me." Lynn finished that explanation off there; she was terrified that things might end up like before, where the voices became more prominent and were able to take control over her body whenever she fell under major amounts of stress.
"I'm sorry, Lynn. Doctor Deacon's treatment was a success, it suppressed the split personalities, and while he assured the pregnancy was not in any way an obstacle to treatment, it most likely is the cause as to why your medicine is no longer having any affect." Lisa found herself apologizing, feeling like she had let Lynn down, she had put a lot of faith in her psychologist friend, now the 2nd youngest Loud was stuck mentally scrambling for ideas.
"Why? If the meds worked at the start, they should still be working, right?" Lynn found herself unconsciously holding her stomach, as if instinctually protecting the babies, she was scared that the split personalities would be a threat to them, she was more afraid of the broken parts of her brain than she was of her family finding out the truth about Lincoln being the father of the unborn twins.
"Yes, the medicine works based off your own brain chemistry, the problem is your chemistry is changing dramatically, a subsequent result of your pregnancy is a drastic increase in your hormones, we had to find a delicate balance between your anti-psychotics and anti-depressants to make sure they worked, now that balance is offset and most likely has set us back to square one." Lisa tried to put it the best in layman's terms for her sporty sibling, essentially everything the pregnancy was doing to Lynn's body was shifting her brain chemistry enough to the point it nullified her current medications.
"I believe Miss Lynn's absence can also be equated to the pregnancy as well, especially now that you have a new lease on your feminine side." Lisa said, likely the motherly split personality was now gone, same as the obsessed one, Lynn no longer was acting as tough as she once prior did, at least in private, the sports obsessed girl was no longer as insecure with hiding that fact now that she was pregnant and in a real relationship, even if the circumstances were rather extreme.
"Great... What do we do now?" Lynn let out a weary sigh, she looked to the right and saw Dismal sat beside her, looking like a marionette that had been abandoned by its puppeteer, head dangling in the direction of the floor.
"We could ask her to let us try out her newest experiments..." Dismal Lynn's sorrowful tone spoke out.
"Will you shut up?!" Lynn suddenly snapped her head to the right, leaning forward and gritting her teeth while growling at the hallucination beside her, it took her a moment to realize she had startled Lisa, the child prodigy swallowed the lump in her throat.
"I'm sorry, Lisa. I don't know why; they're just feeling more annoying than ever!" Lynn exclaimed, not sure why the split personalities were getting on her nerves far more than before, maybe it was because that period of silence without them made the sporty Loud value the peace even more.
"I-I understand and sympathize with you, I imagine they're quite irritating, but you're literally shouting at yourself." Lisa informed Lynn of the obvious, these hallucinations did not care about her feelings at all, not unless they could play upon her fragile mind and stress her out to the point that they got control of her body.
"You must remain strong, go attempt to rest, I'll see if I can get in contact with Doctor Deacon." Lisa implored Lynn to try and take it easy, she used to be able to ignore the voices with enough effort, the sporty Loud would simply have to work twice as hard to act like they did not exist despite now having hallucinatory form.
"Thanks Lis, let me know what he says... Please." Lynn requested as she stood up, the bespectacled Loud nodded, the sporty Loud standing up and beginning to leave the room, closing the door behind her as if in some vague hope of wanting to lock that split personality in there.
As Lynn was making her way back to her room, she passed by Lola and Lana's room, the door being closed now, though as she passed by it, the athletic girl heard a hiss, not the kind of noise a snake would make, rather the type of sound someone in pain would make, she had gotten enough injuries of her own and had them treated enough to know the noises all too well.
"Lola? Lana? Is everything okay in there?" Lynn hesitantly chimed up as she knocked on the door, if this was a few months ago the brunette would have most likely ignored it and minded her own business, though now that she had started getting closer with her whole family, the sports loving girl found herself a lot more worried about the younger half of the family, even over the smallest of things.
"No, Lynn can you-" Lola's voice could be heard, only to be muffled mid-sentence, the sound of her twin shushing her could be heard.
"E-Everything's fine!" Lana not so convincingly called back, the auburn-haired girl cast a gaze to her right and saw Lynn-Sanity standing near her, having appeared from nowhere, the aggressive split personality did not even need to hear it say anything, that smirk made Lynn feel uneasy, she knew what it was thinking.
"Well... These doorknobs are pretty old." Lynn muttered while holding her head in consideration, she shrugged off any hesitation, she grabbed the doorknob with both hands and began to twist the handle as hard as she could, sure enough old age made the locked doorknob incapable of withstanding her strength, it gave away in a moment.
"Okay, now what's going on-…" Lynn could not finish her sentence, she saw an open first aid kit sat on the nearby nightstand, Lana was sat on her bed holding her left leg, there was a large gash in the side of her foreleg, it had cut her overalls slightly like someone had sliced her with a knife. "What happened?!" The brunette gasped, Lana looked embarrassed to be seen like this.
"You have no idea how happy I am to see you. Lana hurt herself on accident, again, and won't let me get Lisa or Lincoln." Lola did not waste any time tattling on her twin. Lana was a lot like Lynn in the sense of they both equally hated going to doctors whenever they needed medical help, while the mechanically inclined twin's injuries typically were on a much smaller scale, mostly animal related, Lisa or Lincoln typically had to treat the injuries or convince her to go to the doctors for help.
"Lincoln was talking with Luan and Lisa was busy with something, her door was locked." Lana argued her reasoning for why she had not bothered her only brother or their younger sister, the red cap wearing girl crossing her arms in shame as the 5th oldest Loud stepped over, Lola stepping back from the bedside in trade.
"I'm no good at this." Lola said, she hated getting dirty as is, she was the opposite of her twin in that regard, blood was something the beauty pageant lover was not used to dealing with at all. Lynn went down on one knee beside Lana, putting a hand under her injured limb, lifting her leg a little and looking over the cut on it, the blood trickling onto her palm slightly.
"How'd you even do this?" Lynn asked, her body starting to operate independently as she reached over to the first aid kit and took it off the nightstand, resting it on the bed near Lana.
"I was in the garage, I was on the ladder trying to reach one of the spare parts boxes on the shelf, I slipped and when I fell my leg got cut on one of the sides of the ladder." Lana explained what she recalled happening, she had no clue why the ladder rung had been so slick for seemingly no reason, the next thing the animal loving girl knew, she was flat on her back with a cut on her leg.
"Is she going to need stitches?" Lola fearfully inquired, watching as Lynn took a piece of gauze from the first aid kit, the brunette wiping away the excess blood to get a cleaner view of the wound.
"Nah, it looks worse than it is. It'll practically be gone by tomorrow." Lynn assured, aware that Lana most likely would run off and be impossible to find if she needed stitches for the injury, and the mechanical girl's animalistic nature would only make her a nightmare to catch.
"You should hold her hand for this, Lola." Lynn suggested to the spoiled twin.
"Hold my hand for what...?" Lana swallowed in fear, seeing the pregnant girl getting out the hydrogen peroxide, Lola did not need anything else to be said for her to understand the point now, sitting down at her twin's side and taking her hand into her own.
After an excruciating few minutes of cleaning and disinfecting the wound, Lynn had been able to get the bandaging securely around Lana's leg. "There, all done. Sorry about hurting you, it'll feel better in a couple of minutes." Lynn apologized; she knew how much that stuff stung when it was applied to the injury.
"I-It's fine." Lana wiped her eye, trying to keep up a strong front up, though her twin and their older sister knew she was never the best when it came to pain, the most that the mechanically gifted twin was used to was minor cuts and scrapes, the treatment always scared Lana since it usually always hurt worse than the injury itself.
"Thanks for helping, Lynn." Lola thanked the 5th oldest Loud; the spoiled twin having been worried that she would have had to drag Lana to Lincoln for help.
"It was no problem, just try and be more careful next time." Lynn assured her little sister by gently rubbing her head, before reaching over and closing the medical kit back up, it felt good to help people, it was odd to her to be treating another person's injuries like this, she normally was the one that needed the treatment the most after any games.
Lynn swore the twins often brought out her maternal side unintentionally, the aspiring sports star assumed it had to be because of being pregnant with twins herself that made her feel this way, though lately the 5th oldest Loud doted plenty over her younger Loud sisters a lot, just like Lincoln had told her this morning when assuring the brunette would be a good mom.
"We thought up some baby names, we wrote them down for you." Lola suddenly was reminded of that when her eyes drifted to her older sibling's stomach, Lynn blinked.
"Oh right, I forgot about what happened at breakfast." The athletically gifted girl mentally recalled, Lynn had considered having Lola and Lana be the ones her and Lincoln told next about their relationship, that idea fell through when they recalled that the spoiled twin was more or less a glorified spy for Lori, the oldest Loud being kept up to date by Lola on anything that went on in the Loud house regularly.
"Thanks you two, this'll help a lot, I'm sure." Lynn gratefully took the piece of paper that Lola offered her, one look at the many names on the list made her increasingly more confused, she could tell which names Lana suggested, those were mostly normal names, but the first letters were replaced with the letter L instead, yet Lola's suggestions all sounded pretentious to no end.
"Just try and relax for a while, Lana, dinner isn't for another hour." Lynn insisted for Lana to just rest, the red capped girl nodded, she had nothing important to do now anyhow, the twins watched as their older sister left the room, staring down and going over the list she had been given.
Lynn had returned to her room, the first thing the pregnant Loud did was pick up her anti-psychotics, looking over the bottle and its contents curiously, the bottle itself remained half full, her anti-depressants were near full due to being refilled just the other day.
"Why don't you try taking another? Maybe it will make us go away." Dismal's tone caught Lynn's attention, she saw the split personality sitting by the bed, leaning back against the mattress. For a very brief moment, Lynn considered listening to the suggestion about ignoring the 'one a day' instructions part of the label, the sporty Loud shook that off immediately when being reminded of which voice was feeding her this idea.
"Ignore that idiot, you can do a lot more with me than you can with her." Lynn-Sanity chimed, the sporty Loud locking up when seeing that familiar leather jacket coated arm wrapping around her shoulder, Lynn was relieved when she didn't feel anything from the touch, the split personalities might be hallucinations now, but it seemed like they could not touch her while she was awake.
Lynn sat the pill bottle down, she let one of her hands gently caress her own stomach, it was a habit that seemed to become increasingly common for the sporty Loud, she didn't know why, whenever her hands were idle, they would instinctively begin feeling her belly, like she was unable to believe it still.
"What do you want from me?" Lynn softly asked the split personalities under her breath, she received no response from them, as if they were telling the brunette herself that she already knew the answer.
Lynn was worried about the future, if taking pills was at most kicking a can down a road, if she had to go back to the psyche ward constantly, or even longer than that, the 5th oldest Loud was scared that Lincoln essentially might wind up raising their children alone. The pregnant Loud found herself pondering on what to do, the what ifs were piling up in her head enough to make her begin thinking about worst case outcomes.
Lynn had an idea come into mind, she took her cell phone out and began to scroll through the list of contacts, it only took a second to find who she wanted and hit call, the brunette held the phone up to her ear, waiting impatiently for the person she was calling to pick up.
"Hey Lynn, what's up dude?" Luna's familiar voice warmly chimed up when answering,
"Hi Luna, is this a bad time?" The sports loving girl asked, seeing Lynn-Sanity was now boredly poking Dismal Lynn in the head with their left hand, the depressed split personality's skull tilted downward like even their neck had given up.
"Nah, I was just about to eat dinner." Luna assured that it was a fine time to call, however she picked up on that nervous tone her little sister's voice held, the guitarist was happy to hear she was going to be an aunt, however the 3rd oldest Loud had been worried about how her sporty sister would handle the stress of it all.
"What's wrong? You sound like you're about to cry." Luna sounded sympathetic yet firm in her statement, while at the same time requesting to know what was going on.
"I need to talk to you, in person, can we meet up tomorrow? Please?" Lynn sounded like she would beg if she had to,
"Just us?" Luna had to quirk a brow at that, she was not going to argue or question a sibling that was requesting a personal meeting with her though, especially while they were upset. "Sure, swing by my place tomorrow after school." The aspiring rock star agreed without much hesitation.
"Thank you, Luna. I'll see you then." Lynn gave a heartful thanks, the auburn-haired girl tossing her phone back onto the bed before letting herself flop back onto the bed, she was just staring at the ceiling, that was all the sporty Loud felt like doing, her greatest fear now was that even after these children were born that there might not be any fixing her shattered psyche.
Lynn was only certain of one thing right now; and that was how scared she was of sleeping alone now, she was making plans to request Lincoln's permission to stay in his bed tonight, the athletic Loud needed someone that could keep an eye out for in case she loses control of her body in her sleep, she just hoped her boyfriend would understand her fears.
