Commanding Performance
Chapter Nine
Jessica Knight after watching Leroy Jethro Gibbs leaves for his assignment to be watching Hans Sanford. This is her chance to leave the house with two new agents from NCIS who will be watching out for Alden Parker asleep on his cot.
She had sent off a text to Doctor Palmer that she will be coming to see him at the autopsy bay of NCIS for an hour before going home to rest for eight-plus hours.
When she arrived at the bullpen as McGee working at his computer station on other cases will raise his head to say the following to her.
"Hey! I would have thought that you will be going straight home?" he alluded to having said to her with himself alone at the moment with the night shift agents to be joining him for a few hours.
With a shake of her head, she will tell him..." I need to be here speaking with Jimmy about a personal matter McGee. So now will you excuse me before I change my mind?" she was rather curt with the long-time agent.
"Sure," he said feeling somewhat confused about her overall altitude.
He will watch her leave heading for the elevator and heading for the autopsy bay down below...

Doctor Jimmy Palmer had been working on an autopsy for another case that was given to him by Director Leon Vance.
Finishing up and weighing all of the organs his blue gloves were covered in crimson as he bends his back beginning to hurt him.
She had heard his moan when she moved in closer without him realizing that she had come inside at the moment. She will place both hands on his back he was startled mostly turning slightly to see her rubbing his lower back feeling so good for the moment.
"Jessica, I didn't realize that you have come here after finishing up your shift?" he moved a little as she pushes herself in closer to rub his back further.
"I came to see whether you're alright with me and Torres working together closely with the undercover operation?" she croaked out with her emotions at the moment running on high.
Doctor Palmer cringed for the moment when she will be asked the tough question. She knew that he wasn't able to lie about it so she waited for him to answer the question. For a moment he will struggle with it until he decided to tell her the truth... "No, I am not happy about it Jessica since you're going to be working too close to Special Agent Nicholas Torres. However, it's you're job as an undercover agent to be checking on Hans Sanford and the rest of the mob family," he noted to say to her as his heartbeat was racing quickly.
"I know Jimmy. I am more concerned about you with me getting too close to Nicholas Torres in close quarters. It's not easy for me with this case and I think both of us know it. But I am telling you now that I don't or won't cross the line." she cried out ...
"But what about Nick Torres?" Palmer blurted out exhaling at the same time...
Jessica Knight saw how he was struggling at the moment. "Good question, Jimmy!" she remarked before pulling him into her arms in spite of the gloves filled with blood.
