(Ayla's POV)
*Today, me, Sonic, & Sonia were reading a scroll Manic gotten while traveling in the sewers from, if you can believe it, Mom*
Sonia: My own castle! Wow!
Manic: I didn't even know we had a cousin Albert. Why'd he leave it just to you?
Sonia: Because he didn't know about you two or Ayla.
Sonic:*laugh* Cause nobody else would take the drafty old thing. Who wants a dumb old castle, anyway?
Ayla: Yeah. No offense Sonia, but I'll take my cabin in the woods over a castle any day. And besides, something about this doesn't feel right.
Sonia: Well, I want the castle. We can use it as a headquarters.
Sonic: Oh yeah. It's so convenient. Only a gillion miles from here.
Manic: Yo, maybe we'll find out more about Ma.
Sonic: Ah, probably no chili dogs there either.
Sonia: Fine. You stay here. We'll go check it out.
*Sonia, Manic, & I now in the van, on our way to check out the castle. Lightning flashed cross the sky. We soon found it on top of a mountain*
Sonia: There's the castle! Isn't it beautiful?
Ayla: Sure, if you like the Count Dracula vibe.
Manic: If is has a bathroom, it is.
Ayla: I told you to go before we left!
Sonia: Oh, this is so exciting! I've always wanted my own castle! Haven't you?
Ayla: Not really.
Manic: I would have been happy with my own room. *we pulled up to the front doors* Whoa. Gives me the creeps.
Ayla: You and me both.
Sonia: Not exactly what I expected. *a lightning bolt hit the drawbridge door & it opened* Well, it has potential.
Ayla: Yeah. Potential to be haunted.
*Manic noticed that I was shaking*
Manic: Wait, a minute. Are you telling me you're afraid of ghosts?
Sonia: You've faced Swat-Bots, mad scientists, and bounty hunters. And you're telling us that you're afraid of something that doesn't exist.
Ayla: Ghosts do exist! I've fought real ghosts in an actual haunted castle! And I've been held prisoner in a creepy castle like this by a evil witch!
Sonia & Manic: Sure, you have.
*Just then, the doors opened & a grey-brown male vampire bat with teal eyes with yellow sclera eyes, peach skin, wispy white beard & eyebrows to match, wearing a pale blue vest with a purple clasp over a light green shirt, beige fingerless gloves, a purple utility belt, blue pants, red toeless shoes, & a tattered teal cape stepped out. A gold owl with black eyes with yellow sclera, white-tipped wings, a brown patch on either wing, & what looked like stitches down the chest was perched on his shoulder. Suddenly, a lightning bolt hit them both. The owl caught fire*
Bellok: Welcome. I've been expecting you. *we all gasped at the sight of the owl's head on fire. the bat picked up the owl & blew out the fire* I am Bellok, the castle caretaker. This is Hooter. Welcome to Worst Castle.
Manic:*whispering* At least the name fits.
Ayla:*whispering* No kidding.
*Bellok took our bags from the van & led us inside the castle. I stayed close to Sonia as we walked through the creepy castle. Bellok then unlocked a door & opened it*
Bellok: Your room, Miss Sonia and Miss Ayla.
Sonia: Thank you, Bellok.
*Suddenly, a swarm of bats flew out of the room. We all screamed*
Manic: Oh, look. More potential.
Sonia: Nah, it just needs a little spring cleaning.
Ayla: Or an extreme makeover.
Manic: Along with summer, winter, and fall.
Bellok: And your room, sir.
*A bunch of rats ran out of this one. We all screamed again*
Manic: Ok, that's it! I'm outta here!
Ayla: Right behind you, Manic!
Sonia: All right, I admit it's a bit on the creepy side. But -
Manic: Please don't say it has potential!
Sonia: Look, let's just give it a chance. Maybe it'll look better in the morning.
Ayla: Wait. You wanna sleep here!?
Sonia: Manic and Ayla Hedgehog, don't tell me you're afraid?
Manic: Afraid!? Me!? I'll show you afraid.
Ayla: And I'm not afraid, I'm just being cautious.
*He went inside his room & closed the door. Just then, Sonia & I saw a figure at the end of the hall*
Sonia & Ayla: Manic!
*He quickly came out of his room*
Manic: What, what, what!?
Sonia: I think I just saw Mother.
Ayla: Me too.
*We investigated the end of the hall, but found nothing*
Sonia: I'm telling you, we saw Mother!
Manic: Well, there's nothing here and no way out. I guess we should just try and catch some z's.
*Sonia & I went to our room. Sonia was admiring a dress in the mirror & I was sitting on the bed, reading*
Sonia: Huh?
*I looked up at her*
Ayla: What is it?
Sonia: I don't know. I thought I saw someone behind me.
*I went over to her. We both then looked in the mirror & gasped. Something that looked like fire was in the mirror*
(Third-Person POV)
*Meanwhile, Manic poked his head out of his room, holding a candle*
Manic: Who - Who's there?
*Just then, he heard a growling sound. Then a gust of wind blew out his candle. He quickly went back into his room & closed the door. He tried to hold in it in place, but another gust of wind blew it open, slamming him against the wall. He poked his head out & heard growling again. He screamed & the door slammed shut. He uncovered his eyes & saw Sonic in front of him, holding a chili dog*
Sonic: Sup, bro.
*He ate the chili dog in one bite*
Manic: Sonic! What are you doing here!?
Sonic: Got some new sneaks. Anti-grav. Way cool.*he walked up the wall & then stood on the ceiling* Aah. Aah. Thank you. Thank you. *he zoomed back down, spooking Manic* A little twitchy, aren't cha?
Manic: I'm cool. This place just has bad vibes, that's all.
Sonic: This dump is a real dump. Where's Sonia and Ayla?
*Just then, the door opened & the girls walked in*
(Ayla's POV)
Sonia: Manic? *she saw Sonic* Well, well, what are you doing here?
Sonic: Thought you might need some help.
Ayla: Yeah right. You just got bored. This place is creepy, but I wouldn't call it dangerous. And on top of that, Sonia & I saw Mom.
Sonic: Oh yeah? Where?
*Sonia pointed down the hallway*
Sonia: Down there. But we already - *he zoomed out of the room* Sonic, wait! Ugh. So typical.
Ayla: Tell me about it.
*She & I went back to our room*
*Later, Sonia & I were getting ready for bed, when we saw a familiar figure in the mirror*
Sonia: Mother!?
Ayla: Mom!?
*We both stepped up to the mirror & went inside it*
(Third-Person POV)
*Sonic zoomed back to Manic's room*
Sonic: Manic? You in here?
*He grabbed a torch off the wall & went inside the dark room*
Manic:*off-screen* Sonic! Down here!
Sonic: Where are you!?
Manic:*off-screen* The chair! Sit in the chair!
Sonic: The chair? *he sat the chair & then fell backwards down a slide. Manic was waiting for him at the bottom* Oh, man. Great ride. Where are we?
Manic: Some kind of dungeon. Yo, check this out. *they walked through the dungeon* Pretty creepy, huh?
Sonic: Yeah, but no biggie. Come on. Let's blow this dump and go find the girls.
*They then came to a giant locked door*
Manic: What do you think?
Sonic: I think it could use a little down beat, bro.
Manic: I can do that. Piece of cake.
*He summoned his drums*
Sonic: Go for it.
*Manic drummed, causing the room to shake & rocks to fall from the ceiling. Sonic dodged some of them*
Sonic: Hold it! Hold it! *Manic stopped* I'll do it. You gave me an opening. *he summoned his guitar & fired a laser at the door, destroying it* And that's all I need. Get ready to bail! *the instruments disappear* Hang on, bro! We've got places to go and sisters to find. *they zoomed back to Sonia & Ayla's room* Sonia! Ayla! It's us! Open up!
*The door was locked*
Manic: Where'd they go?
Sonic: Good question. *just then, he heard footsteps coming down the hallway. it was Bellok* Hey! *he jumped when he saw them & ran away* Get the door open, bro. Be back in a Sonic second.
*He ran after Bellok. Meanwhile, Manic entered the girl's room*
Manic: Sonia? Ayla?
(Ayla's POV)
*Sonia & I were currently running through the crystal maze, looking for Mom*
*Ayla singing*
*off-screen*

*Manic was still looking around the girl's room*
Manic: Sonia? Ayla? *he stepped up to the mirror & smoke appeared all around him* Sonia! Ayla!
*Sonic soon arrived with Bellok*
Sonic: No way.
Manic: Way. I'm telling you, Sonic. They're in there.
*He pointed at the mirror*
Sonic: What's up with the mirror, pal?
Bellok: A portal to different places. But Queen Aleena told me it is very difficult to find your way around. Hooter will back me up.
Manic: Whoa, you've met our Mother?
Bellok: Oh, yes. She is very fond of Hooter. But perhaps we should discuss this another time. Your sisters.
*Sonic checked his watch*
Sonic: Sleet and Ding - Bat will be here in 30 minutes. If I'm not back before then, give a yell. *he zoomed into the mirror & found himself in the crystal maze* Sonia! Ayla! Where are ya!?
*He didn't hear anything. Just then, he heard a familiar voice*
(Ayla's POV)
Sonia: Sonic, wait!
*We came up to him from the fog*
Sonic: Are you two okay?
Sonia: We're fine. We thought we saw Mother and followed her in here, but she's disappeared again.
Ayla: We've been wandering around in here for who knows how long. We're lost.
Sonic: No prob, big sis and little sis. Hop on.
Sonia: You know the way out of the mirror?
Sonic: Trust me.
Ayla: You're absolutely positive?
Sonic: Is Robuttnik round? Exit's that way. *Sonia climbed on to his back & I got in his arms* Hold on to your lunch, girls. We're outta here!
*We zoomed towards a crystal & went through it for a second, but we're quickly spat back out. Sonia's hair was a complete mess after that*
Sonia: "Is Robuttnik round?" Mr. I'm sure of it?
Sonic: Now what?
Sonia: We walk slowly until we find the way out.
Sonic: Walk? Slowly? Slow goes against my nature.
Ayla: Fine. You speed around and get knocked around like ping pong ball. We'll walk slowly. Come on, Sonia.
*She & I started to walk away*
Sonic: Okay, okay. I'll give walking slowly a shot. *he did try to, but hid feet revved every few steps. It was painful to watch* What?
Sonia: It's her! It's Mother!
*Mom was literally standing right in front of us*
Sonic: I'll get her!
Ayla: Sonic, wait!
*He sped towards Mom, only to hit a crystal & get bounced back*
Sonia: I believe our point is made.
*She & I started walking again*
*Third-Person POV)
*Meanwhile, Queen Aleena stepped out of the mirror & up to Manic, who was asleep in a chair*
Queen Aleena: I love you, my little Manic. *she stroked his face* Mirror is your way out. Remember, the mirror.
*Manic smiled as she left. Just then, he woke up*
Manic: Sonia? Sonic? Ayla?
*Suddenly, Sonic, Sonia, & Ayla came out of the mirror*
(Ayla's POV)
Sonia: Did Mother come through here?
Manic: Mother? I didn't see anyone. Someone touched . . .
*Just then, Bellok ran into the room, looking scared*
Bellok: Hide me! They are here!
*I ran to the window & saw Sleet & Dingo's ship pull up with a bunch of Swat-Bots. The four of us then left the room*
Bellok: Don't let them hurt my Hooter, please!
Sonic: Chill, dude. I've got a plan. How many trap doors in this joint?
Bellok: One in every room.
Sonic: Perfect-o! Let's do it to it!
*We all summoned our instruments*

*During the whole song, we were leading Sleet, Dingo & the Swat-Bots into every trap in the whole castle*

*More than arrived*
Sonia: This is serious business.
Manic: Well, it's been nice knowing you all.
Sonic: Ah, it's not that bad.
*Just then, we saw missiles heading straight towards the castle*
Ayla: Incoming!
*I pushed all three of them to the ground & the missiles destroyed part of the castle*
Sonia: Yep. Serious.
Sonic: Come on, everybody! Hang on and we'll blast right past 'em!
Sonia:*coughing* No, Sonic! We'll never make it past all of them!
Manic: The mirror. That's it! *he pointed to the mirror* We have to go in the mirror.
Sonic: Are you crazy!?
Sonia: Manic, if the mirror breaks, we could be stuck in there forever.
*Another part of the castle exploded*
Manic: Whoa! But Mom told me in my dream!
*He went up to the mirror & went inside*
Sonic: A dream? Now there's something I can trust!
Bellok: Come Hooter, we must go!
*He ran out of the room*
Ayla: Guys, we don't have a choice! If we stay here, we're finished!
Sonic: Good point! Let's do it!
*We all went inside the mirror. Just then, Manic saw something*
Manic: Mother?
Sonic: Wait, Manic! Don't!
*He crashed into a crystal & slid back to us*
Manic: OW!
Sonic: You gotta go slow in here, bud.
Sonia: Oh brother.
*Suddenly, a ray of light fell over us & we all froze*
Ayla: What's happening!?
Manic: I can't move!
*Just then, we were all picked up in a yellow vortex & the next thing we knew, we were on a cliff, outside the castle. In the distance, the castle fell to rubble*
Sonia: Wow!
Sonic: Gotta hand it to you, Manic. That was one mondo dream.
Manic: I dreamed she touched me. It felt so real.
Sonia: Maybe it was real.
Bellok: Yes. I believe it was real.
Ayla: Me too.
