Upon the next day. The Archangel is off in the skies as the mobile assault airship had flown off from the Wayne Household's floating island just hours ago and is trying to locate the Sky Pirates' whole group.
in the mess hall of the Airship there is Kira along with Brad and Greg. The three having breakfast prepared by Hachi's automatons.
Greg is stuffing himself with his sandwiches for his breakfast meal while Brad is eating his soup in an elegant etiquette. Kira on the other hand has already finished breakfast and is just looking at a map which has several areas marked with red circles and exes.
"you still trying to pinpoint the location of the Sky Pirate's main troops?" Brad spoke to Kira who nods as he focuses his sights on the map. "Would it not be wiser for us just to wait for them to come?"
"yeah." Greg said as he took a bite of his sandwich and gulped it after a few chews. "Considering how you took out a small group of theirs so easily."
"there have been times when a waiting game in a war would result in a catastrophe to come." Kira said as he takes out a marker and make an x on one area of the map. "it is best if we strike against them while we have the chance." He glances at the two. "the first group we defeated are members of the Winged Sharks which has been wanted for almost 3 years, are they not?"
"And they're one of the heinous Sky Pirates there are." Brad said as he placed down his spoon to his plate. He scratches his chin while thinking. "perhaps they will be the one to strike first before us."
"isn't that what all Sky Pirates do when they see a lone vessel?" Greg stated before the alarm started to ring. "again!?"
Kira quickly takes out his phone and checks the screen that lit up and shows a group of 10 airships coming their way.
"they mobilized before us as you had said." Kira said before he gets up and prepared himself for the attack. "prepare yourself."
"then let us prepare with the attack!" Greg stated as he gets off his seat. "Bartfort! Lend me an armor! I don't care if it's one of the broken ones from the first group of Sky Pirates! Please lend it to me so that I can fight!"
"I also found some armor that I could use yesterday!" Brad stated. "I wish to borrow it as well!"
"do you two hear yourselves?" Kira asks with a serious look. "this is a battle that can cause imminent death if one isn't prepared."
"we know!" Greg said as he bowed his head. "I beg you! I know that I'm a burden to you. But i can't just sit still and watch."
"This is selfish of me. I know that." Brad stated as he bowed his head as well. "The broken armor belongs to you and you alone. However, please lend it to us. We want to fight as well."
Kira looks at the two before to his phone as he accounted the number of the Airships from the Sky Pirates along with their Armors that they already launched out.
"very well." Kira spoke as Brad and Greg looks at him. the young man checks the number of the enemy's forces before to the two comrades he has on board his airship. "the Armors that are available do not have flight capabilities, so your main job is to shoot down enemy Armors that come near. Is that sufficient with your request?"
"I'm indebted to you!" "I'll show you that I can be useful this time!" the two replied as they bowed their heads once again.
"move out." Kira said as Brad and Greg run out of the mess hall before he follows.
As Kira exited the mess hall, he finds Olivia coming by. The girl seemingly having a better expression on her face than yesterday.
"Kira-san, what's going on?" Olivia asks Kira.
"the Sky Pirates' main forces are attacking." Kira replied as Olivia made a surprised noise. He patted her back and made her move along. "go to the main bridge and get into contact with Angie on this phone." He gave her his phone. "you remember how to use it, right?"
"y-yes!" Olivia responded.
After the little comfort talk that Kira had with Olivia, he uses his own phone to call Angelica and let the two girls talk to each other about their little situation and troubles while he left to give them privacy. Now, they are on good terms and can't wait to be back with each other after the mission was done.
"good, now go." Kira told her. "remember to tell Angie everything about what is happening, alright?"
Olivia nods before she runs off.
Kira smiles as he turns and place a hand to his right ear as he got a call from Hachi.
"enemy's Armors have the number of nearly fifty or so. Would you like to use the Archangel's main defense weapons?" Hachi asks as Kira walks towards the hangar.
"prepare the Igelstellung along with the Helldart, and the Korinthos M114, shoot down their masts and any of their Armors coming near." Kira told the AI as he disappeared into a corner.
the battle between the Archangel and the Sky Pirates began as the enemy forces launch out an all out attack against the one mobile assault ship.
"take that ship down!" a captain of one of the airships shouted as their vessel aims their cannons and fired at the Archangel, it's other comrades doing the same.
Cannonballs flies straight for the Archangel, but they were all shot down by the Aile Strike that flies out of nowhere.
"w-what is that thing!?" one random Sky Pirate riding in an Armor, shouted out in seeing the mobile suit.
"what kind of Armor is that!?" a comrade Armor stated before getting its head blown off from a fired plasma shot. "gaah!"
Kira hardens his gaze as he has the sighting device extended and he is using his Gundam's enhanced camera vision to shoot down the enemy's Armor with his mobile suit's beam rifle that is used like a sniper rifle.
Green plasma beams get fired into the air as each shot hits the body or limbs of the Sky Pirates' Armor forces that exploded when hit.
"that thing is fast!" one Sky Pirate shouted in his Armor that is trying to fire back at the Aile Strike with its comrades help but the Gundam flies in while pulling out one of his beam saber that it uses to cut their weapons and mechanized suit in half. "agggh!"
The Aile Strikes rains down terror upon the Sky Pirates whose Armors can't stop the Gundam at all.
"Hachi, fire the Korinthos!" Kira calls out as he flies his Gundam to the side in chasing after a group of Sky Pirates' Armor that he shoots down.
"roger." Hachi replied as the Archangel opens its back missile hatch on its back frame before firing out its missiles straight at the Sky Pirate's airships that gets damaged in the explosions.
The Aile Strike flies and shoots down all the enemy forces one by one before it was face to face with an Armor of the Sky Pirates that seems a bit larger and spikier looking as it has a large a large hatchet-like weapon in its right hand.
"Seems that I found the leader.' Kira said as his Gundam place away its beam rifle before pulling out its beam saber. "Hachi, can you take care of the remaining forces?"
"understood." Hachi replied.
"so you're the guy who owns that ship!?" the pilot of the enemy Armor exclaimed as the hatchet like weapon was swung to the side. "you sure made a lot of fun with my forces!"
Kira didn't say a word as he pushes a lever forward and his Aile Strike flies straight for the enemy's mech that swung its Hatchet at the Gundam in a counterattack.
Meanwhile on the Archangel, Brad and Greg are using the Armors that were acquired from the first group of Sky Pirates that were taken out beforehand. Both using rifles and are shooting down fired cannon balls or incoming enemy Armors.
"these guys are as pesky as flies!" Greg shouted as he continues firing his Armor's rifle.
"less yapping and just focus on firing!" Brad scolded his friend as he is focused on shooting down the incoming enemy Armors.
The two work together to shoot down the threats that could harm their airship as the number of their enemies are large but slowly being thinned down by the Archangel's main defense weapons.
"if we can find the enemy's boss!" Brad shouted before he made a noise when he sees something falling from above. "what the?!"
The Armor of the Sky Pirates' boss fell on the deck of the Archangel's airship as it is left in a state where it has no arms and legs, only its head remains with its body.
"the heck!?" Greg exclaimed as his Armor sees the object from up close. "where did this guy come from!?"
The two looks at the limbless Armor before they look up and sees Kira's Aile Strike flying down and landing on the airship. The Gundam have some scratches on its frame but still looks well.
"the enemy's leader is now taken out." Kira stated as his Gundam looks at the two Armors one by one. "focus your aim on their Armors while I take out their airships."
The Aile Strike's back thrusters ignite as the Gundam flies off into the sky and goes straight for the Sky Pirates' Airships that are still attacking.
"that guy…he's way too strong." Greg said while Brad nods in agreement.
An hour later, the battle was over as the Sky Pirates had surrendered.
Their leader along with their surviving followers got arrested and taken to prison cells on board the Archangel. Their airships, Armors, and the treasures that they have were all taken for Kira who has the rights to take the spoils of the battle.
Currently, Kira is in a storage room on the Mobile Assault Airship as he looks at a large mountain of gold coins, jewels, decorated weapons, and many more precious items just lying before him. all are the treasure that he got from the Sky Pirates after they surrendered.
"with this much, I can do some work with the Archangel's resources and give the rest to Balcus-san's family." Kira said while Hachi is controlling automated drones to stash some treasure chests into the pile. He took a glance to one drone that carries a jeweled necklace to him. "and this is?"
"it was found in the Armor of the Sky Pirates' leader." Hachi reported as Kira checks the necklace. "the Sky Pirates' leader kept trying to get it back as he was being detained and taken away to his prison cell. It might be of importance."
"is that so?" Kira asks as he checks the jeweled accessory. "it is beautiful. Perhaps it belongs to a noble family before it was stolen?"
"perhaps." Hachi replied while Kira gets the item to be thrown into the stash. "what shall it be done with?"
"let's give it to Finley when we get half of the treasure shared to Balcus-san and the others." Kira said as he went out of the storage room. "and perhaps start planning with how we are going to use most of our collected finances to gather materials."
"but after consideration of the Armors that we retrieved from Subjugating the Sky Pirates, we can turn and dismantle their pieces to use the resourceful parts for finances as well." Hachi reported as Kira walks in the hallway. "after all, parts of the Armors are very valuable to craftsman in the kingdom."
"indeed." Kira nods before he sighs a bit. "but there are still problems to handle afterwards."
"the matter with the Offrey Household?" Hachi asks Kira who nodded again. "isn't that matter already handled after you contacted Angelica about the situation the other day?"
"logically, it would've been resolved if it had not been for the faction that the Offrey Household belonged to." Kira said as he goes into a corner and then arrives to his room that has its door locked when he entered. He walked and sat by his bed. "I heard from Angie that the Offrey Family belonged to the Marquis Frampton's household which is an opposing faction to the Redgrave's Household."
"so it is because that they belong to that rivaling faction, that everything is still not full resolved?" Hachi asks Kira who takes out his laptop and activates it while placing the device to his lap. "would it not be beneficial to use the evidence we collected from the Wayne Household's daughter and the documents that has the interaction between Stephanie Fou Offrey and the Sky Pirates?"
"maybe…." Kira whispers before he sighs a bit. "this world's politics are not that different from our world, are they?"
"They are very similar in many levels." Hachi replied with a beep before the AI showed a radar on the screen of Kira's laptop. "we have an airship coming near us. I have found the signal of your phone that you have left with Angelica on board it."
"then it must be Angie who came as planned." Kira said as he puts his laptop away and went out of his room. "Hachi, you think you can print out the documents for proof and get them readied?"
"I'll have them prepared in one minute." Hachi replied with a few beeps as Kira walks straight for the bridge and awaits the coming airships of the Redgrave family.
"Angie!" Livia cries out as she runs towards Angie who gets to be hugged by her. "Angie!"
"Livia" Angelica smiles while hugging her friend.
After everything that had happened, Kira and the others met up with Angie as it is for the little security of the evidence that the Offrey Family is colluding with the Sky Pirates who are also getting transferred to the Redgrave's airship for interrogation to get more information.
"this is the documents that I have collected and the proof needed." Kira spoke as he is with the two and is holding a document folder that he handed to Angelica. "everything from the letters that the Offrey Household's daughter's conversation to the Sky Pirates to their alleged plans to use us as hostages against the Seberg and Field's households."
"Thank you, Kira." Angelica said with a smile as she looks at Livia who is still hugging her. "for everything."
"it's nothing." Kira replies with a nod.
Afterword, the trio decided to spend some time at the Archangel's mess hall where they got snacks and drinks together.
"so…what will happen to Carla-san and the others?" Olivia asks while holding up a soda can that Kira had opened for her.
"since that Wayne girl is only a subordinate who has been threatened like Kira had told me; best to say that she will just be given a warning and her family have to pay a compensation fee for their pardon that he promised them." Angelica said while holding up a biscuit cracker in hand. She closes her eyes while taking a little bite. "but the matter with that Offrey girl will be a different story."
"Instant execution, is it?" Kira asks while gently twirling his soda can in his hand.
"b-but that's just!" Olivia cries out, not liking the idea of death on anyone.
"They colluded with the Sky Pirates and have the gal to plan a hostage situation for ransom." Angelica stated before she sighs. "there's no helping that household anymore."
"but.." Olivia muttered as she felt bad.
Kira looks at the girl for a moment before he close his eyes and sighs.
"you don't belong in any battle, Livia." Kira spoke as the girls made a noise while looking at him. "Angie has the brave and boldness to face wars and battle, but you're kind. too kind." He opens his eyes and looks at the girl. "I'm sorry to say this but you cannot be too kind at some point of time."
"he's right." Angelica said with a small frown to Olivia. "I get that you don't like conflict and such, but there are times when kindness is no longer an answer to any problem."
"b-but my parents always told me that if we always be kind, the world would be a better place and…" Olivia spoke as Kira sighs a bit.
"I understand that, but those words never helped my land's war…" Kira spoke as he trailed off and just frowns when remembering the war of his world.
"Kira…" Angelica whispers as Kira shakes his head.
"sorry, this is supposed to be a get together talk after the little incident." Kira said with a small smile while getting off his seat. "how about you two have a chat after everything that had happened?" he picks up his soda can and took a few sips before sighing. "I got some stuff to handle at the moment."
"a-alright…" Angelica spoke with a nod as Kira nods back before he goes for the door but stops at the last second to look at the girls.
"Angie, if I may. Can I ask you to send a message to your family's household?" Kira asks as Angelica blinks her eyes twice.
"What for?" Angelica asks.
"I need their help in having a conversation with the heads of the Seberg and the Field's households." Kira said as he looks away. "the matter of the Prince and his foster brother is another matter but Brad Fou Field and Greg Fou Seberg. Those two have the potential to become better people." He looks back at Angelica. "they performed very well in the battle and I believe that is something to be given honor and proudness by their families."
"I see…" Angelica nods before smiling a bit. "I'll get in contact with them later on."
Kira nods in gratitude as he soon leaves the room.
As Kira leaves, Angelica and Olivia watches him.
"Kira-san…he still seems sad all the times.." Olivia whispers and Angelica nods.
"his past has troubled his life and I believe it still scars him to his current life." Angelica spoke as she frowns sadly. "I wish to help but I don't think I can."
Olivia nods as she too felt that she couldn't help Kira's situation.
some days later. the Sky Pirates' subjugation was over as everything was revealed to be a plot from the Offrey Household. There is now a political conflict at the Royal Capital as Kira didn't have any part in it because it was all left for the Redgrave Household who gave the evidence and use it as a scandal to go against their opposing faction.
At the Holfort Academy's boy dorms.
Kira is in his room as he is reading a letter that he just received early in the morning.
"I am to be promoted from upper 6th to lower 5th?" Kira spoke as the letter that he just received is a promotion certificate. He sighs and shakes his head. "I only subjugated Sky Pirates and yet I am promoted that easily, huh?" he checks the certificate, and the request was referred by Greg and Brad's family households. "I do wonder why they requested that I am to be promoted?"
"perhaps it is because you conversed with the Field and Seberg's households regarding the reconsideration of retaking their former heirs?" Hachi told Kira as he had done and talked to the family heads of Brad and Greg, telling them of their deeds in helping him to subjugate the Sky Pirates and finding out about the Offrey Household's affairs.
Kira sighs as places the paper to a table and went to his bed where he lied down.
"I will feel so awkward with Balcus-san and the others with this new rank of mine.." Kira whispers as he is lower 5th rank and that means he is a higher ranked noble than the Bartfort Family that only has Barons. He sighs again. "this might be troublesome."
Kira closes his eyes for a moment before he opens them the next second because he hears knocking from the door.
"yes." Kira goes and answers the door as he finds a staff member of the dorm standing before him. "what is it?"
"Baron Bartfort, you have a letter and a gift that had just arrived." The staff replied while handing Kira a letter.
"for me?" Kira asks while taking the letter and checking the sender to which he finds that it was sent by the Atlee household. "from Clarice-senpai's household?" he was about to open the letter but he decided to do it later and focus on another matter. "and the gift?"
"it was too big to be brought to your room." The staff replied before motioning a hand to the side. "please follow me outside to where it is stationed and prepared."
Kira follows the staff outside of the dorm and to the front yard where there is an Air Bike stationed upon the grass.
"here it is." The staff said before excusing and leaves Kira with the vehicle.
"This seems to be a new model." Hachi stated as the AI checks the Airbike via a drone that came flying by. "it has features which is unlike the ones from the School festival."
While Hachi checks the Airbike out. Kira opens the letter and reads its content.
"to Baron Bartfort. I apologize if this may come to sudden, but I would like to give you this Airbike as a thank you gift for helping my daughter for her time at school." Kira spoke as the letter was written by Bernard Fia Atlee, Clarice's father. The main message in the letter is just a thank you for the young man for his kind actions to his daughter and a little explanation about the Airbike which is the most latest model in the Kingdom that they could give to him. "and also…" he looks a bit surprise as the rest of the letter gives out a quick info that when he would graduate from the academy his rank from lower 5th would become upper 5th upon that coming time. "another promotion…."
"perhaps it is a sense of gratitude and respect that the high ranked nobles are seeing in you that allowed this to happen?" Hachi spoke as the AI finished checking out the new Airbike and had its drone come near Kira. "you did many good actions for the kingdom lately, correct?"
"perhaps…" Kira nods before he hears a few beeps from Hachi. "what was that?"
"some Drones I had dispatched came back with a few results of their survey to some uncharted islands' ruins." Hachi reported as Kira takes out his phone that has its screen lit up to show a live image recording of a stone hallway that shows a metal door at the end of it. "I believe we stumbled upon something."
"then perhaps it might be a good time to use our new Airbike for a test drive." Kira said with a nod as he puts his phone back into his pocket before he gets on his new Airbike that he activates and flew off in an instant.
An hour later, Kira arrives at a float island just a few hundred miles away from Holfort Kingdom.
The young man walking in the ruins of the island as he is following a Drone that his AI friend is controlling.
"here it is." Hachi spoke to Kira as they find the metal doorway at the end of the stone ruins. "this door seems to be nearly 5 inches thick, considerably to safeguard something within."
"perhaps we would find weapons?" Kira asks as he looks around and finds a small control panel that seems old and rusted. "or perhaps materials or etc?" he goes and begins tinkering the object of its cables, plugs, and circuit board. "or perhaps mobile suits?"
"the answer is undetermined." Hachi replied. "I cannot use the Drone's scanner to identify the contents of behind this door."
"I see." Kira said as he works on his tinkering with the wires that he crisscrossed before the control panel lit up a green light that soon made the doors rumble and slide open slowly. "there we go."
The door was opened, and the Drone activates its flashlight while going in first.
Kira followed as he enters the inner area of the Dungeon that has the same futuristic look as the ruins of his island.
"Hachi, I think I found the control module." Kira said as he goes to a rust covered monitor board that he cleans up a bit before inserting a flash drive that he took out from his pocket. "inserting direct remote drive and activating system." He flicks some dusty switches and pulls down a lever that made the board turn on with life. "system online."
"accessing system's database, rerouting data, activating emergency lights." Hachi spoke as the AI did his work in the systems and turns on the lights in the chamber to reveal it to be a hangar filled with dust covered machinery and weapons. "I have found record that this is a facility used in storing weapons of many kinds."
"a few of them looks like weapons for the Archangel's." Kira said as he finds large multi barrel guns that are similar as the one that are attached to the legged mobile assault ship. "perhaps spare parts?"
"perhaps." Hachi replied as Kira checks everything in the facility before he finds something that caught his attention. "there is also a log registry of the weapons stored in the facility as well. 75mm ammunition for the Igelstellung, Helldart Missiles, Sledgehammer missiles, and deep pressured Torpedo. There is also one Mobile Armor logged in the systems' database as well."
"the Moebius Zero." Kira spoke as he finds the orange Space Combat-use Mobile Armor that was piloted by the ace pilot of the Earth Federation Forces, the Hawk of Endymion, and his close friend; Mu La Flaga. "why is it here?"
"searching database…" Hachi said as the AI did some beeping noises. "Registry log records that the TS-MA2mod.00 Moebius Zero was to be repair in storage after receiving heavy damage to its front and back frame area." The AI continues the report while Kira checks out the mobile armor's cockpit area that was just filled with dirt, rust, and grass. "most of the damage was fixed but the cockpit area had not been repaired in time."
"does it say anything about Mu-san? the pilot?" Kira asks. "the registry record should have a log of the pilot, right?"
"checking the database." Hachi spoke before beeping a bit. "I'm sorry, Kira. But the registry record only has the records and data of the machinery in the facility and not the pilots nor workers. This facility was an automated repair factory and nothing else. There are no records of anyone in the place."
"no records…." Kira spoke as he frowns a bit before he sighs and scratches his head a bit. "perhaps…there is actually little to no chance to finding the others, is there?"
"Kira, we cannot give up." Hachi told Kira. "there will be a time for us to find Lowe and the others in this world. We just got to keep on trying to find them no matter what! I just know that we can find them if we just keep on searching and hoping!"
Kira smiles a bit to hear the encouraging cheers from the AI as he nods.
"just keep on searching and hoping, huh?" Kira spoke before he sighs with a smile. "thanks, Hachi. I needed that."
"you're welcome." Hachi replied before asking. "should I call in the automated drones to come and begin transport of our found resources?"
"please do." Kira spoke before he looks at the Moebius Zero. "Hachi, do you think we can find a way to use the Moebius Zero here? in the skies and the world?"
"I'm not so sure." Hachi replies. "first of all, the Moebius Zero was designed for deep space and not the atmosphere of the earth. Secondly, it is impossible to repair the cockpit considering that we don't have the right equipment and materials to repair it. but…" The AI made a few beeps from Kira's Phone that was taken out by the young man. The screen lit up and shows the schematics of the Moebius Zero and the Strike Gundam. "we can retrofit and rebuild it as a supporter unit for the Strike."
"Where you get this blueprint?" Kira asks as the schematics shows a blueprint for the Moebius Zero and the Strike together. "did you just design this?"
"no, I found it in the databanks registered to the Moebius Zero." Hachi replies. "it was made by Erica Simmons of Orb. I found it when I tried checking the preparation for the mobile armor's repair or reconstruction."
"but will it work?" Kira asks as he checks the schematics. "you said that the Moebius Zero is made for deep space, and not for atmosphere battle of the earth. How can we use such a thing if all our potential battles occur in the sky than in space?"
"perhaps we can try and retrofit the Moebius Zero with the technology of the Holfort Kingdom." Hachi replied as Kira's Phone has its screen showing the schematics of the reconstructed Moebius Zero that has new weapons and frame look but with the addition of an engine that looks like it belongs to an Airbike. "I have studied the machinery of the Holfort Kingdom and found a way to retrofit their floating technology and install it to our machines. Would you like to try it, Kira?"
"you can retrofit such a system?" Kira asks as he is a bit amazed.
"it is all possible from all the information that you have collected over the time." Hachi replied as Kira smiles before he nods.
"then please do." Kira said with a nod as he looks at the Moebius Zero. "I'm sure Mu-san wants it to fly in the air once again after how long he left it be here."
"understood." Hachi replies with a beeping noise as Kira looks at his phone and watches the schematics of the Moebius Zero that will be reconstructed and refitted as the Gunbarrel Striker; another Striker Pack for the Gundam Strike itself.
After the holiday was over, it was time for school once again.
In one classroom, there is Kira who looks a bit stressed while sat by a table. He did well in his class and the lesson was easy but that is not what makes him look so stressed in the first place.
"you alright, Kira?" Raymond asked the young man while coming by with Daniel. "you look…unwell?"
"I'm just tired and a bit stressed in a way." Kira replies as he leans against his seat and rubs his eyes a few times. "the matter of my promotion has been troubling me a bit."
"I know how you feel." Daniel nodded his head twice before raising his hands up and shrugging his shoulders. "Things get tough when your rank is high. Your rank is at the level where you would have people under your guardianship, have retainers, and gather a fleet to command as a feudal lord."
"it's troubling on the fact that I have act accordingly to my rank now." Kira spoke as he sighs. "everything was much easier if I was still a Baron than now as a viscount." He place a hand to his head and shakes it. "and not only that it is stressing to be a higher ranked noble. There is another matter that is stressing me as well…"
"and that would be the girls going after you now." Raymond noted while adjusting his glasses as he took a glance to the side and sees a bunch of girls whispering in crowds but taking occasional glances at Kira. "you already had it hard with your fans, but now the girls who didn't like you are now planning to go after you."
"all of it is happening because of your very honorable speech during the duel against the prince." Daniel stated as Kira felt a headache coming because his student life in the Holfort Academy just got troubling.
"is it possible to give either of you my Rank and in return I get yours?" Kira asks the two and both just shakes their heads while waving their right hand back and forth which made the young man sigh tiredly. "it was worth to ask….."
"whether or not you could trade ranks, it won't change the things that are now happening, you know?" Daniel told Kira who nods before he took a careful glance around the classroom. The young man seeing the occupants of the room.
From the girls who are smitten with him, the girls who ate his guts but are planning to go after him since he is a higher ranked noble who is famous and rich, and lastly to the boys in the classroom who are either giving him sympathetic looks of his current predicament but there are a few who are giving him hateful stares.
"I wonder why they look like they hate me?" Kira asks himself in a quiet whisper. He turns and sighs again. "every day is going to be very stressful for me…"
"but I think you'll be a bit stress free with the upcoming school trip." Raymond spoke out as Kira looks at him. "you heard of it, right? The special trip to various islands where we can have a holiday like trip?"
"I heard of it, and it is quite something to be excited about." Kira nods while folding his hands on the table. "when I first learned of it, I have to say that I am surprised that Holfort Kingdom's culture and traditions are very vast and diverse."
"goes to show that the place got lots of surprises for you." Daniel stated with a nod.
About two weeks later, the scheduled field trip arrived.
Kira is now on board a luxury airship befitting for the noble heirs of Holfort Kingdom. The young man not having Raymond and Daniel because every class has their students split and mixed in between classes.
"so this is what a school field trip looks like of this world's origin?" Hachi spoke as the AI tags along with Kira while directly communicating with the coordinator's earpiece communicator and a little drone that is currently flying around above the ceiling. "it is very different from the ones in our world."
"very true." Kira spoke as he walks around while holding a glass of a sparkling lime drink that is not alcoholic for him. "albeit the purpose of the field trip is to learn much about Holfort Kingdom's diverse cultures, I have to say that it is a bit the same with the ones in our world."
"perhaps." Hachi replied.
"ah! Kira-kun!" a voice called out to the young man who turns and finds his third year senior; Rukul-senpai coming towards him. "fancy meeting you here."
"Rukul-senpai. It has been a while." Kira greeted his senior with politeness.
"I can say the same with you." Rukul said with a smile. "so you are also going on the southern floating island?"
"it would seem so." Kira nods. "I heard that it is a tourist spot?"
"indeed it is." Rukul replies as he looks around. "They said that this would be a field trip, but the class is just messing around. The floating island we're heading to is a tourist attraction, so it'll be like experiencing a festival. There's going to be a unique atmosphere, and it'll be quite fun."
"do tell." Kira said after taking a sip of his drink.
"There's this special aura you feel when in a foreign land." Rukul explained while pointing a finger up. "The girls wear yukatas and enjoy themselves in the festival. Boys who can escort those girls can shorten the distance with them considerably. You should do your best as well, Kira."
"thank you, but I don't think I need to try anything.." Kira replied a bit awkwardly as he sees some girls are trying to get near him. "considering those who are trying to get close to me right now.."
"right…" Rukul awkwardly chuckles. "w-well, have fun!"
His senior left Kira who gets surrounded by girls talking to him about many things. The young man looking very troubled from how they are trying to butter him up or try to get him to go on a date with any of them
While this occurred, Angelica and Olivia are watching from their perspective places and felt a bit bad for their friend.
some time later, at the storehouse of the luxury liner.
There are two girls who are secretly speaking with each other. Both are followers to Angie's household.
"We're in trouble if we don't do this right!" one girl told the other.
"This is the daughter of a duke household we're talking about, so it can't be helped, can it?" the other girl replied before she looks a bit annoyed. "My family gave up on the duke household."
"Same with mine. After all, his Highness the crown princes' faction had collapsed." The first girl noted with a nod. "The Redgrave duke household is now on the decline."
Their little discussion was on the matter of Angie's household; the Redgrave that is currently losing its political standing in the Holfort Kingdom after the broken off engagement with the former crowned prince.
"How do you use this?" one girl asked while taking out a cylindrical object that they are inspecting together.
"You just pull the string and toss it outside." The other girl told her friend before pointing to a window nearby. "It stands out on the deck, so we were told to throw it from somewhere else."
The girls goes to the window, open it, pulled the string off their mysterious object that let out smoke before it was thrown out.
"Do you think this will do?" the first girl asked her friend who shrugs her shoulders.
"Won't it?" she replied.
The two talked some more as they left the storehouse and goes back to their friends who are possibly still trying to butter up to Angie.
on the next day and at nighttime.
Kira is found walking in the midst of a Japanese festival as he wears a blue and white yukata.
"this is a nice place…" Kira whispers with a smile as he looks around. "very festive like Japan's traditional festival."
"it would seem that everything is based on Japan's culture festival but in a matter of different perspectives." Hachi told Kira who looks up to see the AI's drone flying around in capturing images of the place. "albeit there are some similarities, there are also some differences in some areas of their products and cultures."
"indeed." Kira said as he notices some students wearing masks of weird looking animals. "I don't remember there are monster looking masks in Japan's festival.."
"perhaps this is just one of the many new things that the people of this island made when adapted into the Holfort Kingdom?" Hachi told Kira who shrugs his shoulders once.
"Kira-san!" Olivia's voice is heard as Kira turns and smiles a bit to see her and Angelica coming by. Both wearing white and red Yukatas respectively.
"alone by yourself?" Angelica asks Kira as she and Olivia come near him.
"as it seems." Kira replies with a smile. "you two look beautiful wearing them yukatas."
"i-is that so?" Olivia replied with an embarrassed smile. "t-thank you for your compliment."
"this clothing are a bit unique, but I can't help but feel a bit uncomfortable for some reason." Angelica said as she checks her attire. "how do they even go with their daily activities in them?"
"perhaps it is a matter of adaptation?" Kira replies.
The trio are now walking together as they go around doing whatever they seem interested in the festival.
"charms?" Olivia spoke as the three are by a stand that has a game of shooting bottle caps to targets that looks like cats.
"right'o! you hit the targets, you can get to pick a charm in this box!" the stall owner exclaimed as he explained the rules that one player gets to have one chance to fire shots against the targets but that player only has three bottle cap bullets. "if you can't hit them, you can always get the prize through a lucky draw!"
"sounds fun." Angelica said as she goes for the first game. "one game, please."
"here you go!" the stall owner got paid and presented Angelica with a toy gun and a tray of bottle cap for the bullets.
Angelica locked and loaded with her toy weapon as she aims with keen precision before firing once.
"MISS!" the owner exclaimed as the first shot didn't hit the target.
Missing once, Angelica goes for the next shot as she grips her toy weapon harder while focusing even more.
"MISS! One more time, missy!" the owner exclaimed on the second shot that missed like the first shot.
"just one more…" Angelica takes a deep breath and sighs a bit loudly as she looks very determined to hit the target with her last shot.
"MISS! Sorry, missy but you didn't win!" the owner shouted for the final shot that missed as this made Angelica mad.
"come on! How am I supposed to hit that target with such a toy!" Angelica fumed all angrily as Olivia quickly stops her from going berserk. "the bullets are rubber and this toy is too small!"
"Angie! This is a game! There isn't always winners!" Olivia cried out while pulling Angelica away from the stall and the frightened owner. "please calm down!"
Kira sighs a bit to see Angelica's actions before he went and paid the stall owner some money.
"one game please." Kira said as he takes the toy weapon. "I'd like to also take the chance to draw the charms as much as I hit the target. If that is possible?"
"if you sure you can hit em, you can get em!" the stall owner replied to Kira who loaded his toy gun and aimed at the targets.
Kira has one eye closed as he aims his toy gun at the target with one hand.
He takes a deep breath before he exhales and pulls the trigger.
Meanwhile with Angelica and Olivia, the Redgrave daughter is fuming as she felt a bit insulted that she didn't win a little game.
"if I had a real gun, I could've hit all the targets." Angelica pouted a bit while Olivia sweatdrops with an awkward smile.
"t-that's not allowed to be brought here, Angie…" Olivia said.
"WE GOT A WINNER!" the stall owner shouted while ringing a bell as this got some attention from some nearby people.
Angelica and Olivia looks at the stall and sees Kira coming to them while carrying three little items that seems to be folded in white paper.
"y-you won the game?" Angelica asks surprised because she didn't win the game no matter how hard she tried to concentrate on shooting the target.
"it was a matter of focusing on the target with pure attention." Kira said with a smile before handing out two of the items he has to the girls. "here."
"eh?" Olivia looks confused. "you're giving them to us?"
"I would rather just have one than three." Kira replies as he gave out one each to them. "and besides. I heard from the stall owner that the charms are very blessed with luck, gifts, and blessings. their types are in a variety and the matter of which one you get depends on our luck itself." He chuckles a bit. "I thought that one of us might need that luck in the future."
"hahaha..very funny, Kira." Angelica replies with a little annoyed voice, knowing that Kira's sarcasm is on her.
The trio holds their white paper and soon takes out their charms.
"it's pretty.." Olivia said with a smile as she got a white orb the size of a marble. It's a charm that is placed in metal fittings and with a red string attached.
"mine is red." Angelica said as she has the same type as Olivia but her Orb is red.
"it matches your eyes, Angie." Olivia said smiling.
"it does?" Angelica replied with a smile before both looks at Kira. "what do you got, Kira?"
Kira takes out his charm and to his surprise he got two.
"I got two?" Kira spoke as he holds up his acquired charm or charms. The item are actually two charms that has a base of a large shield with a sword and a flower crossed together. The reason for there to be two charms is because the object could be split into two. "this is very…strange?"
"this might be one of those special luck charms." Olivia spoke out while pointing a finger up. "I heard that there are several occasions for people to get special luck charms that are made not for one person but for a couple. It says that those charms give luck and love for those who wear them."
"for a couple…" Kira spoke as he smiles a bit in seeing the one charm in the form of a rose. He soon attaches the charms to his ring necklace for safe keeping.
"I wonder what else we should do?" Angelica asks as she and Olivia wears their charms on their wrists.
"I heard that there is a shrine where.." Angelica spoke but was cut off when she hears the voices of her follower. "great, they're here.."
Angelica looks like she was about to run away but Kira stopped her.
"what's wrong?" Kira asks while holding Angelica's right hand.
"it's…." Angelica spoke as she sighs and looks to the back. "them."
Kira and Olivia turns and sees Angelica's followers coming by. Two girls and three boys who have annoyed looks when they see the Ultimate Coordinator with their lady.
"Bartfort, you, huh?" one of the boys spoke out with a bit of an annoyed look on his face. "get away from Milady."
"hey, stop with that.." Angelica was about to speak when Kira goes and had a hard gaze of a glare at her followers. "K-Kira?"
"I recognize you people." Kira spoke with a hardened gaze at the group. "you are Angie's followers who abandoned her the moment she challenged Marie Fou Lafan in that duel those months ago."
"a-and what of it?" one follower spoke.
"leave." Kira stated as he turns around. "and don't come near us."
"you think you can command us, you lowly commoner noble!?" one guy shouted as he went and grabs Kira by the shoulder but the young man quickly got his hand and pulled it back into a submission stance. "agh!"
"I believe I can command you considering the fact that you and your comrades are good for nothing people." Kira said as he put more pressure in his grip on the man's hand to the point that he is now grunting in pain.
"K-Kira-san!" Olivia cries out as she saw how pained the man's face was looking.
"you people abandoned Angie when she needed your help the most." Kira spoke out as he continues to put more pressure on the man's arms that he is twisting. "what makes you think you can put aside the past actions that you've done and act like it never happened at all?" he pulls the man up and pushes him off to the rest of Angelica's followers. "if any of you dare come near and try to coerce with Angie. You'll be answering to me."
"w-why you!?" a boy growled but quickly steps back when Kira glares at him. "u-ugh!?"
"go back." Angelica spoke out as she looks a bit nervous towards Kira. "I don't think I can stop him if you all tried to harm him."
The followers look at Angelica for a moment before to each other as they left after deciding that they couldn't hope to go against Kira.
Kira keeps on glaring at the group as they leave before he turns and sighs with a small sad smile towards Angelica and Olivia.
"I'm sorry, but I think I just let my anger overcome me once again." Kira spoke in an apologetic tone towards Angelica. "I had some actions against them and I think I over did it."
"I understand that." Angelica said with a small smile. "they've been trying to get to me ever since they abandoned me during that night." She sighs a bit. "I actually felt a bit relieved that you told them off for me."
"sorry about that, Angie." Kira replied.
"l-let's not think about this anymore!" Olivia cries out, wanting to change the subject of the conversation and change the mood quickly. "h-how about we g-go to that stall nearby!?" she pointed to a stall selling sweet confectionaries like apple candy or chocolate bananas on a stick. "i-I heard many students want those!"
"l-looks great.." Angelica said, thankful for Olivia's quick suggestions.
The trio decided to forget about what had happened with Angelica's followers and goes for the stall. Planning to spend the festival's entertainment to the best that they can.
on the next day, Kira along with Angelica and Olivia are still going around the festive land as they wore their student outfits. Their airship is planning to depart at noon but in that given spare time; many students go around in sightseeing.
"so the shrine is up here?" Olivia asks Angelica who nodded. The trio are by stone stairs that leads up to a shrine on top of a hill.
"indeed" Angelica nodded. "the shrine is on top and they say that the blessings given when you give your prayers to it are very effective."
"Blessings and prayers, huh?" Kira spoke before the group starts walking up the stairway made of stone.
The trio goes up and reaches a Tori Gate where behind is a whole field view of a Japanese Prayer shrine.
"this place….why is it just like Japan?" Kira spoke as he looks around.
"Japan? What's that?" Olivia asks Kira who looks back at her.
"it's the name of a country from my homeland." Kira replies as he smiles a bit while looking around. "I once saw their culture and traditions in books. I even saw pictures of their tourist spots;" he smiles a bit when he sees how peaceful the place is. "this place just reminded me of that place."
The group goes around in the shrine as they went to one spot where there is a small girl who wore a shrine maiden outfit. The girl was just sweeping away leaves before seeing Kira and the others coming.
"excuse me, is this the Shrine for knot tying?" Angelica asks the little girl who nodded twice before smiling.
"Yes. There's a god of marriage." The little shrine maiden replied while pointing to the big shrine nearby. "There's also blessings for luck, war and magic."
"even for those types, too?" Kira spoke before he and the girls followed the little shrine maiden who brought them to the shrine's offertory box.
"so….what should we do?" Olivia asks, not accustomed to the tradition of the place.
"we just offer a donation that we put into this box, clap our hands once, and do a prayer." Angelica said with a smile while taking out her wallet. "I read about it from the tourist books."
As Angelica explained, she takes out a golden coin that surprised Olivia.
"T-That much?" Olivia spoke out in surprise.
"Is this not right?" Angelica asks as she looks a bit confused. "This much is normal in temples."
"you can offer as much as you want." The shrine maiden girl spoke out as the group prepared their money for the offering box.
"you're giving that many too, Kira?" Angelica asks Kira who takes out a small stack of dollar bills that he inserts into the offering box. "that's way more than I was planning to give."
"I heard that if you offer more money, there is a chance that your wishes would be granted as you are blessed." Kira said with a smile as he claps his hands twice before doing a prayer. "I have a lot to pray and wish for after all." he chuckles a bit. "and besides, I have too much money that I just wish to donate a small sum."
Angelica and Olivia looked at Kira in curiosity as they wondered what does he wish to pray for.
After making their own donation, Angelica and Olivia clapped their hands and started to pray silently in their hearts.
'to the gods of this world, please grant me the wish of meeting my friends.' Kira made his wish in his heart as his own wish is just to reunite with his comrades. 'Sai, Miriallia, Kuzzey, Athrun, Cagalli, Miss Murrue, everyone…' he tenses up a bit when he thought of the girl who saved his heart and earned his love. 'Lacus…'
Kira clasps his hands together a bit harder as his action was noticed by Angelica and Olivia who peek an eye at him.
'he must be praying about a way to return to his homeland…' Angelica thought as she guessed what Kira is praying for. She soon frowns a bit. 'I shouldn't be so against it considering that he came to this land unwillingly after all..' she begins to think about their time together. 'But i have to admit that it won't be so much fun when he leaves…'
'the way he is tensed up….he must be thinking about that Lacus person..' Olivia thought in seeing how Kira has his prayer close to his chest. She smiles a bit sadly. 'that person is very lucky to have Kira-san's love..'
The two went back to their prayer as they had a silent prayer for their friend's happiness to come in the future.
At noon's time, the school's luxury liner left the floating island as it goes off on schedule.
Kira is currently on the airship's main deck as he watches the island slowly shrinking into the distance by the passing second.
"that island was very festive and very peaceful like Japan is during the peace time of 1990s." Hachi spoke out to Kira as the AI had one of its little drone come and float near the young man. "although I am still a bit confused and sceptic on their believe in prayers and blessings to gods that have not been proven to exist in our world and this world as well."
"whether or not gods exist or not, it doesn't change the fact that people need something to pray for their morals' belief, right?" Kira spoke as he took out his necklace and looks at the charm that he got from the day before. "but I can't deny the fact that this world may have gods considering that we are here and that there is also magic that we can't use."
"that is true." Hachi replies. "history has written that many during any war would have something to rely for their spiritual reassurance. Mostly done by Christian believers and such."
The two continues to converse as it is mostly Hachi who gives some reports of his info collecting to the Ultimate Coordinator.
"thanks to collecting more information of the land, I have come to conclusion that the Holfort Kingdom is multi cultured and diverse in its many combined traditions from many lands that were once strangers to the kingdom." Hachi stated. "even if the kingdom is too illogical to even be understood in a scientific manner."
"that's not surprising considering that the festival there is alike with Japan and all, along with magic and everything similar." Kira spoke before he sighs a bit and gently starts to caress his ring and charm together. "I'm starting to miss our original world."
"even though it was plagued with war?" Hachi asks as Kira nodded.
"as much as it is a world that is tainted with chaos, death, and war. It is the world where I was born and had lived in." Kira spoke out as he looks to his right shoulder and sees Tori flying by then perching on it. the mechanical bird cried out to him while turning and twisting its head a few times. "it's also the world where Lacus is waiting for me to come back."
"I see…" Hachi spoke before the drone turns and flies away when Chris came.
"something I can help you with, Chris?" Kira asks the Sword Candidate or rather the Ex Sword Candidate. That title is lost because of Chris' disinheritance.
"nothing." Chris replied as he went and stands near Kira, the man taking off his glasses and cleans the lenses. "I merely came here to get some time alone from the girls who keep on pestering me."
"then I suppose you and I are in the same boat." Kira spoke with a small smile as he gaze to the vast sky in front of him. the young man being on the deck not only to have a private conversation with Hachi but also to get away from the girls in the school field trip's group who have been trying to sweet talk him from time to time.
"that is considerably understandable after our duel." Chris said as he puts his glasses back on and adjusts them. He looks at Kira. "but since we both are here, I suppose we should spend the time doing a more enjoyable activity?"
"and that is?" Kira asks.
"Bartfort, I challenge you to a one on one sparring match." Chris stated. "you fought hand to hand against Greg in the duel, therefore I wish to do the same but we will be using swords instead. I wish to test your abilities in your swordsmanship."
"I have to say that I refuse." Kira said as he looks away and leans against the railings. "I don't like to fight too much."
"why so?" Chris asks. "you prove to be a capable warrior during our duel and you proof to be an excellent knight when facing the Sky Pirates that you subjugated with Brad and Greg. Why you despise fighting?"
"I only act in such a way to protect people I care for." Kira stated as he softened his gaze when he sees a flock of birds flying by. "I never wished to do any harm to anyone for the sake of anything other than to protect." He glances at Chris. "don't you have the same reason when you hold your sword?"
Chris looks at Kira for a moment before he chuckles with a small smile while facing to the vast sky near him.
"I believe I do." Chris said with a nod as he took one glance back at Kira before to the view before him. "I have to admit that I was wrong in thinking you are a warrior who seeks battle, Bartfort." He adjusts his glasses. "You are merely a warrior who fights for the sake of others which is very honorable in my standards."
"thank you for your compliment." Kira said.
The two looks to the view in the vast world before an alarm rang on board the Luxury Airship.
"this sound is?" Kira spoke as he and Chris looks to the ship.
"it's the emergency danger alarm." The turquoise haired man looks around as he tries to see what is causing the alarm. "it only activates when there is danger of monsters or enemy airships coming near ours!"
As Kira and Chris tries to see what the danger is. They hear noises coming from the clouds below.
They checked it out and became surprised when a large number of monsters appeared from the white clouds.
"w-what in the world?!" Chris gasps as he sees the number of monsters appearing are in tens, hundreds, thousands. Their numbers just keep on increasing. "where d-did these M-Monsters come from!?"
Sailors came out onto the deck carrying weapons but flinched from the overwhelming number of monsters. There were even young sailors holding their weapons while trembling.
Chris went to one and demanded "What the hell happened?! What's with that number?!"
"I-I don't know!" the sailor replied all nervous. "The monsters suddenly appearing like this is a first!"
Kira looks at the monsters as they look like horrified versions of aquatic fish and mammals that are flying around the sky like they are swimming in the sea.
"do Monsters act in such a way?" Kira asks as he notices the movement of the monsters flying around. "Why are they only surrounding us, but not attacking?"
Chris and the sailors heard Kira as they took notice to how the monsters are just circling around their airship while keeping a far distance.
"he's right…" Chris adjusts his glasses. "Monsters usually attack humans on sight, but they're not doing anything.."
As Kira watches the monsters' movements, he hears a call from Hachi.
"the Monsters are acting in a way like a pack of wolves that are only following a certain command by their alpha." Hachi stated to Kira. "it seems that they have been told to be on standby."
"so there is a monster that is commanding all of these ones?" Kira spoke as he didn't like the idea of there to be an insanely large monster that can command smaller monsters that are surrounding them. As he keeps on looking at the sky; he notices something. "Chris. Do you see that crest on them?"
Chris heard Kira as he looks at the monsters and notices that each one have glowing red crests of a symbol.
"that crest…" Chris spoke before he gasps. "the Fanoss Dukedom!?"
"Fanoss?" Kira whispers as he felt like he heard that name before.
"it is the name of the kingdom neighboring Holfort Kingdom." Hachi told Kira, the AI already collected info of the enemies and allies of the kingdom. "it is a nation originally affiliated with a duke of the Holfart Kingdom, but had long since declared itself an independent dukedom."
"so this world has their own Earth Federation and Zaft Forces?" Kira spoke as he frowns a bit in thinking how the situation reminds him of the war in his original world.
Soon the monsters started to get closer to the luxury airships, causing panic to come from the students on board.
"Hey, someone do something!" "D-Don't we have weapons?!" "I've never seen that many….." panicked chatter spread upon the airship as no one understood what is going on.
"Hachi, can you launch out the Archangel and get it here?" Kira spoke to his AI friend while taking a good distance away from anyone in order to communicate. "I need the Strike now."
"the Archangel is on its way, but even at top speed. It requires a time of T-50 minutes to arrive." Hachi reported as the AI is sending the Archangel straight to the location from beneath the sea. "the location of this vessel and the Holfort Kingdom's waters where it is based is quite a distance after all."
"use maximum thrust for the engine. We need.." Kira spoke before he hears screaming panics from the girls as he looks and soon sees a large monster coming out of the clouds. "what in the world?"
The large creature looks like a monster whale that has a structure of something on its back that looked to have been made by people.
"is that monster…carrying something?" Chris spoke out in surprise as the large structure on the monster whale's back is a customed airship which has many other airships flying by it. each showing the crest of the Fanoss Dukedom. "t-that is!?" he looks further ahead and sees a floating island emerging behind the whale monster as it looks to have been remodeled as an airship. "i-is this the Dukedom's intention of a threat to the Kingdom?"
Seeing the large number of invading monsters and enemies, many students started to take refuge into the ship. Amongst them are Angelica and Olivia who came out running towards Kira and Chris.
"Kira! / Kira-san!" the two cried out to Kira.
"we got trouble! It's the Dukedom!" Angelica cried out as Kira nods to her before he looks to the monsters and the airships flying around. "I saw their airships coming but they have monsters with them! Why are they with Monsters!?"
"I don't know" Kira shakes his head as he glance back at her before to the monster whale that floats ominously. "all that I can say is that this is without a doubt an invasion from the Fanoss Dukedom."
"b-but this is the Kingdom's airspace! Why would they!?" Chris exclaimed before he stops when he notices something on one of the many airships. "wait! Who is that!?"
Everyone looks at where Chris is looking and they see a young girl with black hair, red eyes, and wears a pure black dress.
"P-Princess Hertrude?!" Angelica spoke out in shock.
"i-is she someone you know, Angie?" Olivia asks Angelica after hearing how she knows the name of that black haired girl.
"I've only met her once before." Angelica spoke with a nod. "However, why is she in a place like this?"
As the group looks at the airship, they soon see the figure of Princess Hertrude being projected above the monsters via magic.
"Heed me, for I am the first princess of the Fanoss Dukedom, Hertrude Sera Fanoss." She spoke with her voice being enhanced loudly with magic. "We are declaring war on the Holfort Kingdom." The princess announced with an expressionless face. "foolish children of the Kingdom's nobles. It's time to prepare yourself. Do you surrender, or will you die? You have one hour."
Hertrude's large image disappears as she left and returned inside the airship she was on board.
"does she plan to have us as hostages!?" Angelica exclaimed as she struck the nearby handrails. "those cowards!"
"what should we do, Kira-san?" Olivia asks worried as she goes to the one person she believed knows how to handle the situation. The blonde girl turns to her friend who had a rather sympathetic look on his face. "Kira-san? what's wrong?"
"that girl…she's like me…" Kira spoke out in a sad voice. "she's very much like me."
"eh?" Olivia looks confused as she didn't understand what her friend is saying. "what do you mean?"
Panic now ensues the ship as many are now scared for their lives in the upcoming invasive battle of the Fanoss dukedom.
Princess Hertrude enters her airship as she sat in a living room chamber where she gets served with tea by her maids while being protected by her guards.
"with this, we shall see how dishonorable those kingdom's nobles are." Hertrude spoke with a small smirking smile.
"do you only plan to take hostages for ransom while killing the rest of the small fries?" a voice asks as Hertrude glances to the side to see a young man with long black hair, wears a full black leather like pilot suit, brown gloves, and has a rather darkish look on his face. "talk about weak sauce for this Dukedom's attempt in invading the Kingdom."
"you are only a mercenary hired as my bodyguard." Hertrude spoke out with a rather insulted voice. "I never asked for your opinion with your standing in your job."
"and do you believe I am only to stand in silence while doing my job?" the man asks as his name is Canard Pars, a young man who came from the same world as Kira and is in the world with him through unknown methods. He crosses his arms and huffs a bit. "Do remember that my job is only to guard you. Anything else is of my own concern and nothing more."
Hertrude looks at Canard before she close her eyes and sips her tea.
"do as you wish." She spoke after sipping her tea.
Canard huffs back at her before he turns and walks away.
"Seems that you are socially awkward to women as always, Master." A round metal orb with a red optic eye appears floating near Canard as it looks to be some sort of AI in the form of an advanced drone. "you might get your pay cut if you act in such attitude to your client, you know?"
"shut up, Luxion." Canard stated as he walks out with the orb following behind him. "I never asked your opinion."
"yet I still give out my opinion because it is in my primary functions after all." the metal orb replied in a rather amused voice that made Canard huff once. The object then made a few beeps. "Master, I have located a frequency of another AI on board the Kingdom's airship."
"another AI?" Canard spoke as he stops and looks at the floating metal orb. "is it the same kind as you?"
"no, it is an AI of a different creation." Luxion replied as its red optic eye turns its inner gears a few times. "unable to find information of its creation nor to who it is accompanied to. It is an AI with a very sophisticated firewall."
"an AI that cannot be traced of its coding?" Canard spoke as he looks rather sceptic. "that Junk Guild's…."
Canard thinks about something for a moment before he scoffs.
"not possible." Canard spoke as he walks away. "this world has no such technology nor such possibilities."
Luxion made a few beeps as the metal orb looks at Canard for a moment before following the man.
