Planet Vegeta: Age 737, Night…

Two Saiyans, a man and a woman, were moving far away from the city with the former carrying a round, white space pod which held a crying, infant Saiyan barely months old. The man was rather muscular with black star-shaped spiked hair, and a large X shaped scar on his left cheek.

He wore traditional Saiyan armor consisting of white chest plates, tan shoulder pads, and blue outfit underneath. The female Saiyan had spiky black hair and wore the traditional, Saiyan armor. The Saiyan within the pod was the spitting image of the man

"Isn't there another option, Bardock?" The female Saiyan asked in a pleading tone. "Let's think about this."

"This is the only choice, Gine." Bardock retorted firmly. "If it turns out I'm wrong, we'll go get him immediately."

They slowed their pace to a walk.

"Why don't all three of us run away together?" Gine suggested.

"No, their scouters would find us right away." Bardock answered.

"But, why do you have to go to these lengths?" Gine asked. "It's not like a Saiyan man to worry about his child."

"I don't know." Bardock answered while still walking ahead. "I suppose after endless battles, I have the fickle urge to save something now. Especially if it's someone judged to be a lower warrior like my Kakarot."

The two Saiyans stopped, and Bardock placed the pod on the ground. Kakarot stared out at them with sadness and confusion over what was happening.

"I've programmed this to take him to Namek." Bardock informed. "The race there has a low technological and combat level." He looked at his son. "Even you should be able to survive there, and the rumors won't be enough to make Frieza go there."

"Bardock is just being paranoid." Gine pressed her hand against the glass. "If he's wrong about this, I promise we'll come get you right away!"

"Stay alive, no matter what!" Bardock declared.

"See you later." Gine added.

Bardock placed his large hand against the glass as Kakarot pressed his hand in line with his. Then, the pod rose from the ground, and all Kakarot could do was look at his parents one, final time.

"Kakarot, don't forget us!" Gine called out as she ran forward.

Then, the ship vanished from eyesight as it left the planet. Gine broke down in sobs before Bardock pulled her close to comfort her. Both looked at the vast, starry sky hoping that they had made the right choice. Bardock suddenly flew away without warning.

"Bardock wait!" Gine exclaimed. "Where are you going?"

"Go back home!" Bardock retorted firmly. "I have to finish something important… rather, someone."

"I'm coming with you." Gine declared. "I'm not just a house wife, you know."

"No, it's too dangerous." Bardock retorted. "Go warn the others to prepare themselves."

"Prepare themselves for what!?" Gine questioned.

Bardock had already raced out of sight.

Planet Vegeta's Atmosphere

Frieza rose ominously from his main ship floating in his pod. Bardock was currently fighting off his minions who only now stopped upon seeing their emperor.

"Long live Lord Frieza!"

"No!" Bardock called to Frieza as he flew up to the front. "You've lived long enough! It's been too long for my taste. Frieza! Listen up! We quit! All of us! Got it? We're free! You can find somebody else to do your dirty work." He powered up a blue sphere in his hand. "Oh, there is one last thing." He threw it. "Take it!"

Frieza formed a solar ball from his finger and laughed evilly as he released it. The tyrant's blast quickly consumed Bardock's before overtaking the Saiyan as well and incinerating him. The blast touched down on the ground creating a major explosion.

The Saiyans below barely had time to register what was happening before they were vaporized. Frieza laughed with pleasure as he watched the numbers on his scouter rapidly trickle down to 0. The planet exploded in a flash of light leaving nothing but floating rubble.

Space

Kakarot's space pod was heading towards Namek when an asteroid suddenly hit it causing the navigation function to screw up and choose a new destination. The impact did more than that as the pod began flying erratically through space.

Earth: Country Home, Many Days Later…

In a lone home, which resided countless miles from any form of civilization, there lived David Shield and his three-year-old daughter, Melissa, who had just fallen asleep. David was tall, yet averagely built. He had sky-blue eyes, honey brown hair, a matching goatee, and square glasses.

His attire consists of a dark blue shirt with a single breast pocket, pale gray-blue jeans, and a dark belt with a silver buckle. His daughter had pale skin, a round face, and wavy blonde hair. She currently wore a set of pink pajamas.

David kissed his daughter's forehead before standing. "Good night, Melissa."

The little girl gave a content sigh in her sleep and smiled. David smiled himself and moved to the doorway ready to turn off the light. Before he could turn it off, something crashed landed right in their back yard shattering windows.

Melissa woke up screaming and crying at the terrifying sound while David acted quickly getting his daughter into his arms where she'd be safe from potentially putting her feet down on broken glass.

"It's okay Melissa." David comforted and hugged his daughter. "Daddy's right here. He's got you."

He continued to comfort and hug his daughter as he carefully maneuvered around his house littered with glass. As he progressed, Melissa did calm down; however, she was clearly still shaken.

As David finally got down stairs and slipped on his shoes, she spoke up. "Daddy, what's going on?"

"I don't know." David admitted.

At the very least, this didn't seem to be a villain attack considering any villain would have taken advantage of the confusion to do whatever it is they wanted out here. This did make him question just what this was. As David approached the back door, he and Melissa could hear crying.

"Someone sounds scared just like I was." Melissa commented.

David nodded in agreement before grabbing a flashlight and peeling back the curtain. Upon turning it on, they could see an infant with black, spiky hair lain out within a white, spherical pod. His head and backside were bleeding

"Oh no!" Melissa shouted, "Daddy, that baby is hurt!"

"I see it." David immediately opened the door, rushed outside, and scooped the poor child into his arms. "Don't worry, I'll help him."

He did notice a severed monkey's tail was within the pod which seemed to connect to the baby bleeding from his back side; however, there wasn't much time to observe this as this child clearly needed immediate medical attention.

Melissa had forgotten all about her own fears as she stared at the baby with concern. David rushed into the house before doing his best to quickly secure medical supplies without letting either child out of his arms.

Once he had everything he needed, David rushed into the basement which was the only place to do this considering there was no broken glass to speak off, and it'd held up remarkably well. He began working intently to patch up the baby.

Over the next few hours…

It took a lot of work, but David eventually managed to extract what was left of the tail since reattaching it wasn't an option. Once he got the baby patched up, he understandably kept crying considering he was still in pain. Everything the man tried didn't work.

Eventually, he laid out a blanket and sat the baby on it figuring he just needed to cry himself to sleep. That didn't seem to be the case until Melissa ended up approaching the boy figuring it was fine as her daddy put him down. Just as David was about to tell her to stop, he went wide eyed.

Melissa gently rubbed the boy's head, and he seemed to calm down. "There. There." The boy was still crying, but it was certainly more subdued. "Daddy patched you up, so you'll feel better soon." She then looked to her father. "This boy is hurt and scared. Can we keep him?"

"Could we keep him?" David was seriously considering this now that he had the time to think. "Judging by the impact, this child came from somewhere in space meaning he wouldn't have family here." He looked at the children and noticed how they seemed to already be bonding.

"That's not even mentioning that this child is injured even if he hasn't suffered a concussion. I mean, the government is good at giving medical care to cases like this, but I could do so much more right away."

"Daddy?" Melissa asked.

David knelt beside his daughter. "Well keep this child with us; however, I need you to promise me one thing in return."

"Yeah, anything daddy." Melissa stated eager to appease her father if it meant they could keep this baby that clearly needed them.

"While honesty is the best policy, I need you to break that rule this one time." David stated firmly. "You and I discovered this child out in the woods. Trust me when I say that the truth will only cause trouble for this baby you seem to have grown attached to."

"If the truth really would hurt him like that, then I'll do it." Melissa gently hugged the baby. "I'll make sure to protect him."

Dawn…

The baby and Melissa ended up falling asleep by this point, so David planted himself into a nearby chair before taking a deep breath. "Since I'm going to go through with adopting this child, he'll need a name." David looked at the boy. "Considering he technically fell out of the sky; I think a more exotic name is in order. Goku has a nice ring as Toshinori once told me it means 'Understanding the Sky'. Yeah, Goku. It has a nice ring to it…"

3 Year's Later…

After lengthy paperwork, crafted explanations, and repairs, Goku was officially added to the Shield family. Through medical examinations, it was determined that he had to be barely months old when he was found. Additionally, surviving such severe injuries was miraculous.

This survival combined with his rather amazing strength for a baby was effortlessly crafted into a lie about his Quirk having bloomed early. After all, many variations of strength often had some durability. Soon, he was settled in and took well to Melissa as his older sister.

It was a role she took great pride and joy in. She simply adored having a younger sibling, and Goku loved having someone to play with that was close to his age. As for David, he sat on the pod Goku came in for months after. He knew this could be a boon to the scientific field.

He just couldn't reveal it since he wanted no clear connections to his new son who he quickly grew to love just as much as his daughter. David simply continued with his prior research in perfecting numerous projects of his and would later 'stumble' upon the ship.

Eventually, his labors bore fruit as he was invited to work on I-Island. It was a paradise of research and development for Quirks and support items. Anyone who worked there would be set for life which would allow David to support his family.

While he would do this regardless, Goku had proven he had quite the appetite. That was just something David wove into the story about his son's Quirk. Regardless, the Shield family made the move to I-Island. Honestly, life seemed to be going their way.

David had his dream job where he could benefit all heroes, help save lives, and support his family. Goku had a loving family that wanted to see him flourish. Melissa had her loving father and adored younger brother. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong…

I-Island: Shield Home

"Hurry up Melissa!" Goku exclaimed. "I want to see Uncle Might in action again!"

"I think Goku's somehow become even more of a fan of Uncle Might than me." Melissa smiled as she worked at the computer to bring up the footage. "He's practically doubled my view count on all the videos." She laughed. "Alright, it's playing."

Ever since Melissa and Goku met their father's friend, they thought he was amazing. After learning about his role as the world's symbol of piece, they thought he was the second greatest person in the world behind their own father. Both were happy he considered them family.

No video of him, in Goku's opinion, showed their uncle in better light than his debut. It played showing a massive disaster in Japan. Everyone there was in shock as what should have brought absolute despair that day turned into the debut of a true hero.

"Who is he? This guy has already saved 100 people, yet it hasn't even been ten minutes! I can't believe it!"

Then, the camera focused as the hero himself climbed over the bus carrying even more civilians with a boisterous laugh and a huge smile. This was All Might. He was extremely tall and very muscular with blond hair which spikes on top of his head.

His hero costume consists of a red, white, and blue bodysuit with golden gloves and boots. Goku and Melissa were both amazed at seeing this. That was despite the sheer number of times they'd watched this very video between them.

Said video continued with All Might making his declaration. "Fear not citizens!" His smile widened. "Hope has arrived because I am here!"

"Uncle Might is the best hero ever!" Melissa declared. "One day, I'll be just like him!"

"That fine because one day I'll surpass him as the greatest hero ever!" Goku declared. "If that means surpassing you, then that's what I'll do!"

David ended up walking by the room his kids were in before smiling and walking on.

Days Later…

Goku was entirely serious about surpassing his uncle as the next Symbol of Peace. While he fully intended to excel in all areas of being a hero, he currently only understood the being strong portion in its entirety. Something about fighting just spoke to him.

David saw this and helped by getting anyone on the island to teach the young boy martial arts. With how fast he was picking up techniques, most questioned if his Quirk simply stopped at some form of super strength. Currently, Goku was in the middle of the living room.

He was slowly going through the motions of whatever move he wished while his father's assistant, Sam, watched over him. Sam was an older, heavier man with short blond hair and blue eyes. He wore typical business attire with added suspenders.

Sam was watching him because David had to take Melissa to an appointment with one of the Quirk doctors of the island. At that moment, the door opened drawing Sam's attention as David and Melissa had just returned.

"There you two are." Sam stood. "So, how did…"

He stopped prompting Goku to walk over his dad's assistant. He saw his dad look sadly at Melissa who herself was just looking down at the ground clearly devastated.

"According to the Quirk doctor, Melissa should have manifested either mine or her mother's Quirk by now. By all accounts, and the research available, she's among the twenty percent that doesn't have a Quirk."

David would never judge his child for being Quirkless. He was simply feeling down because he knew how much it meant to his daughter. Without a Quirk, even if she trained for it, someone would come along that she wouldn't be able to handle.

"I'm going to my room." Melissa stated without even looking up.

She started to walk off, but Goku grabbed her wrist stopping her. "Big sister, I don't think you should give up." That got everyone to look at him, but it especially drew Melissa's attention. "Maybe you can't be a hero like Uncle Might, but you can be a hero like dad.

I'll surpass Uncle Might, and you can be better than dad." He smiled. "Together, we can better than they were together. If I'm already going to surpass Uncle Might, then together we can double that. So, please don't give up because you can be a hero same as me."

Melissa began to tear up.

David smiled at his son before kneeling beside them and putting a hand on her shoulder. "If that's what you'd want to do, I'd be happy to teach you everything I know." Melissa looked at her father. "Maybe it's not in the way you'd like, but Goku is right. You can be a hero to."

Melisa full on cried now as her father and brother hugged her.

"These two… my children." David thought lovingly. "Maybe it's because I'm their father, but I think Goku will end up surpassing you Toshinori, and Melissa will surpass me. Together, they can be the next light and hope of the world."

Over the last 12 Years…

So, Goku continued down his path while Melissa took a different path than she expected; however, it was one she dedicated herself to. Melissa studied hard and took every opportunity to learn from her father. Goku adopted his sister's prior wish into himself strengthening his resolve.

He pushed himself to be a better student and truly worked to get the best possible grades. Even though training did come easier to him than studying, Goku did not slack off. He continued to push himself the more his body could withstand and learned everything I-Island had.

With how fast he grew, he was labeled a true, physical prodigy. Naturally, David did sit Goku down one day and tell him he was adopted; however, he did decide to keep just where Goku came from a secret. Of course, David and Melissa assured Goku he was still part of their family.

Goku truly appreciated that along with everything they'd done for him while not worrying too much about if his parents were still out there. After this point, Goku and Melissa set their sights on the best school. Since Melissa was older, she was the first to attend their uncle's alma mater.

She got into U.A. Academy and entered the school's Support Program. The first two years she attended, she lived away from home. While this always did make David and Goku feel particularly sad, it didn't stop them from living.

Goku continued to train for the day he'd get his shot to enter the Hero Program while David, inspired by the strong wills and progress of his children, threw his all into his work. Soon enough, the day arrived when Goku was the leave I-Island with his sister…

I-Island: Airport…

Melissa and Goku stood across from their father with a backpack and duffle bag, respectively. In the years that followed, both had grown considerably into fine, young people. Goku had been rather short for years, but he really hit a growth spirt in the last year that helped him look his age.

Melissa wore a white, short-sleeved dress shirt, a raspberry pink waistcoat, pale gray Capri pants, a pair of heeled brown boots, and pink, oval-framed glasses. Goku wore an orange and black jacket with a white sleeveless undershirt, light green pants, and brown shoes.

"Look at your two." David smiled proudly. "First, Melissa gets into the Support Course and shoots right to the top. Now, Goku will enter the Hero Course and no doubt do the same."

"Well, I have to get in first." Goku smiled as he put his arms behind his head. "Even I don't get into U.A., there are other schools I can try. No matter what, I'll stand at the top."

"It won't matter because you'll get in without question." Melissa declared confidently. "Then, we'll be back in the same school."

"All I can do is my best." Goku declared.

"We are now boarding for Musutafu, Japan."

"Looks like that's your cue kids." David stated. "Remember, it took an awful lot to get you kids permission to leave I-Island, so anything related to projects must be kept top secret. Got it?"

"Of course." Melissa stated as her father reminded her every year.

"I'll remember." Goku added.

"Good, now get going and show everyone what the future of heroes looks like." David declared.

Melissa and Goku hugged their father surprising him for a moment before he hugged them back. The siblings then walked off towards their flight.

"See you later, dad!" Goku yelled back.

"We promise to stay in touch!" Melissa added.

"Be sure you do!" David yelled back. "Now, go be heroes you two!"

"We will!" The siblings yelled.

"They grow up fast, but those two will change the world." David walked away. "I just know it, but until then, I'll need to keep doing my best." Suddenly, he frowned. "Until my son surpasses you, old friend, hold out."

Musutafu, Japan: Day…

Melissa unlocked the door to the two-bedroom apartment their father bought the moment she was set to go to U.A. It was rather standard, but that's how the Shield Family lived anyways.

"Alright, we're here Goku." Melissa declared. "Your room is the first one on the right. Why don't you get settled, and we'll decide on dinner."

"Sounds like a plan." Goku chuckled as he rubbed his stomach. "I'm starving."

Melissia giggled at her brother. "Aren't you always?"

"Then, it is a good thing that I am here!" A familiar voice declared boisterously.

The pair turned to see All Might entering the room wearing jeans and a white T-Shirt. He was also carrying a gargantuan sized lunch box.

"Uncle Might!" The siblings exclaimed happily before hugging him.

"What are you doing here?" Goku asked.

"I always visit with Melissa the day she arrives." All Might declared. "Now, I can see you both. By the way Goku, you are looking like a fine young man now. All those years since I've last seen you must have done wonders."

"Actually, this happened in the last year." Goku corrected.

"Regardless, you are starting to really look like a fine young hero." All Might declared. "Of course, we can better catch up over a hardy meal." He patted the package. "I made sure to get plenty since I know your appetite."

"Alright, let's eat!" Goku declared.

After Lunch

After a hardy lunch around the kitchen table, Goku leaned back while patting his stomach. "Ah, that sure hits the spot. Thanks so much Uncle Might."

"Think nothing of it." All Might laughed. "If anything, I'm glad you were full since David's told me your appetite got bigger."

"You don't know the half of it." Melissa smiled. "Honestly, I hope any all you can eat places around here are truly ready for him because Goku's wanted to try a lot of places I've told him about."

"If they aren't, it'll be a good learning opportunity for them." All Might declared. "Currently, I'm wondering if you're ready for the entrance exam, Goku."

"You bet I am!" Goku declared. "The next step in one day surpassing you is to get into a hero school." He smiled. "What better school to go to than your alma mater."

"That's the spirit." All Might laughed. "Honestly, if I hadn't met young Midoriya, I'd have given you my Quirk in a heartbeat thanks to that attitude of yours." He then looked at Melissa. "Even though this will be your third year, I hope you are equally prepared."

"Of course, Uncle Might." Melissa smiled. "I didn't ease up on my studies one bit, and you can bet I'll continue to do my best just like the prior year."

"That's good to hear you two." All Might stood. "Very good indeed, and I wish you both the best of luck. Now, I'll leave you to get settled in."

All Might sped out of the room in his usual fashion causing the siblings to smile at each other.

Goku's Room

Goku entered his room which contained some boxes, his duffle bag, a desk, bed, and a wardrobe. He'd worry about unpacking later. He currently walked over to his window and opened it before starring in the direction of U.A.

"This is where it all begins." Goku thought. "In one week, I'll take on that entrance exam and enter U.A. I will become a greater hero than even Uncle Might!"

Let's get some things out of the way. The Earth Goku went to is the My Hero Academia one, but it is also the one that belongs in this universe. In other words, this Earth replaces the one that was originally there. Bardock choosing a different planet to send his son too should clue you in that this Earth is, for the purposes of this story, considered stronger. This does not mean Goku isn't going to be strong, but I do not want him plowing through every problem.

Also, I'd like his classmates to have a chance at competting with him. At the same time, this earth is still within the Dragon World, so you can expect to see characters from the canon Dragon World reimagined into this version of Earth. As for why I chose David and Melissa to be Goku's family, it was honestly left up to a wheel of fate. I put multiple options on a wheel, spun it, and David was the winner meaning Melissa would follow.

Note: By All Might's mention and when this chapter ends, episodes 1, 2, and most of 3 have already happened.
