ABSOLUTION

Jogo stood in place for a moment while he tried to process what had happened. Juri was in front of him only moments ago, but she had vanished into thin air in a single blink of an eye. Jogo snapped out of his trance seconds later and ran to the edge to look over. She hadn't jumped, nor was she anywhere to be found on the rooftop. If that was the case, then did she use a jujutsu technique just now? According to Geto, Kocho Juri wasn't a jujutsu sorcerer, so whatever she did had to have been the Yurei's ability.

While Jogo looked around the rooftop, he heard a sharp whistling noise against the wind. He looked up, and right across from him, he saw someone waving from the neighboring rooftop. He blinked a couple of times until he recognized the stormy gray shade of Juri's hair and her black clothes.

"How the hell did you get over there!" He shouted while nearly blowing the top of his volcano head. He gripped the wall tightly before pushing himself upon it, just like Juri did. "I thought you were going to fight! You're not trying to run away from me, are you!"

Juri sighed and crossed her arms over her chest. She already knew that fighting him was unavoidable. Still, she hoped he would follow her out of the city to a more secluded place. She juggled around with the choices but also kept Yurei in the back of her mind. She wondered if her friend had already noticed that she was using her jujutsu technique.

While thinking silently to herself, Juri turned her head up and saw a darkened figure blotting out the moonlight. She gasped sharply and made a quick gesture with her hand, teleporting away just before Jogo slammed down nearly right on top of her, using so much force that it cracked the ground.

"Are you still trying to run away! You said you were a special-grade, right? Now stand still and fight me!" Jogo howled while whipping his head around to find her. This time it didn't take long to spot her teleporting rapidly away from one rooftop to another.

Jogo wasn't letting her get away this time. He was fast but not nearly fast enough to grab her. She was very elusive and seemed to be a master at keeping ahead, getting further and further out of the city. Luckily, he was following her, so it wouldn't be long until they were in a more seclusive area.

With a clap like heavy thunder, Itadori nearly jumped six feet into the air when Yurei suddenly clapped her hands together. Once the silence returned, he just sat there looking at her with wide, quivering eyes that were frightened and confused. It came out of nowhere and was so loud that he thought a bomb had gone off inside the room.

"What was that all of a sudden?" Itadori asked while clenching his hand over his aching heart.

With a perplexed look, Yurei slowly pulled her hands away from each other and stared down at them. She clapped them together not to scare the boy but was testing out a feeling she had. With a clap like thunder, a white dome was supposed to have been created, but nothing happened.

It wasn't so much as a strange thing. Just an odd quirk that both Yurei and Juri had. It was the fact that neither of them could use Yurei's jujutsu technique simultaneously. Only one at a time. So if Yurei couldn't use it right now, then that meant…

"Juri's using my abilities," Yurei finally spoke with a hint of anxiety growing in her voice.

"Huh? You're technique?" He followed Yurei's figure as she got off the couch and floated around. "Yurei? Is something wrong?"

"Juri and I can't use my ability at the same time. If I can't do it right now, then she's using it. But the thing is...Juri would never use it unless it were an emergency. If she was in some sort of trouble." She finished as her eyes suddenly darkened and steadily got colder. "Somethings happening."

After a long absence, Juri reappeared again on a desolate mountain road that was shrouded in darkness. She quickly took in her surroundings and spotted a thickly wooded area to her right with a sharp noise of the wind whistling through the leaves. It was exactly the place she needed to be. No people around for miles, and on a road that hardly got any attention.

"Are you done running now?" Jogo asked, appearing a couple of feet behind her.

Juri turned around, somewhat surprised to see how fast he had arrived. "Oh, yes. Yes, I'm done running now. Thank you for being so patient with me," she said politely.

Her tone caused Jogo's eyes to begin twitching. He couldn't tell if she was just an overly polite person to a fault or if she was actually mocking him. Either way, it had annoyed him long enough.

"I'll make you bite that tongue of yours right off!" he screeched and summoned what looked like a miniature-sized volcano from the wall beside her, pointing straight at her head. An intense blast of fire spewed out from the hole, and Juri vanished instantly within the flames. It was so powerful that it decimated the road and forest off to their side. After everything had settled, the woman was nowhere to be found. "You might have the Yurei's strange and unique ability, but you're still a non-sorcerer who doesn't know how to use it. I knew this wouldn't be a challenge," Jogo scoffed.

"I must say," a soft voice spoke from directly over his shoulder. Jogo's eyes widen frantically, and he snapped his head over to see Juri standing behind him. Unharmed and as calm as the first time they met on the rooftop. Her clothes didn't have a single tear on them, and not a hair was out of place on her head. "You might have an even worser temper than Yurei."

Alarmed by this, Jogo jumped away from the strange woman and immediately looked up at the sky. He could still see that the white dome was still up, so that meant Juri had been moving it around this whole time to stay within it. Jogo didn't know the extent of the Yurei's abilities, but he knew that anything was possible if she stayed inside the white dome.

Juri huffed and placed a hand on her hip. "Honestly, I'm kinda glad Yurei's not with me right now. If she was here, then this situation wouldn't have lasted long. Don't you agree…Gojo-san?" Juri said coolly while lifting her phone and showing Jogo who she was on a call with.

Looking at the name on the bright screen, Jogo immediately felt a sliver of ice slide underneath his skin that froze him solid.

"Satoru...Gojo?" Jogo shuttered.

Gojo took a moment to speak, but when he did, there was no sign of worry in his voice. "Ah. I think I understand what's going on right now. Juri, I'll leave this guy to you for the time being while I head back and meet up with Yurei. I'll see you soon. Oh, and make sure…you don't kill him until I get there."

Juri frowned and turned her phone around to stare at the screen. "I…I wasn't going to kill him. I'll just wait for you and Yurei." She hung up and looked back to Jogo, who looked more on guard than before.

"Gojo Satoru…and the Yurei are coming?" Jogo said cautiously.

"Well, yes. But it's still going to take a couple minutes until they arrive. So you'll be stuck with me until then," Juri said with a shrug.

Jogo tightened his jaw and clenched his teeth. He never thought this mission would get so complicated. Not only was Juri hard to dispose of, but Gojo Satoru and the Yurei were on their way. He already knew he wouldn't be able to deal with both of them, but there was a chance he could get rid of Kocho Juri before they arrived.

"I don't have time to stall anymore." Jogo got into position as what looked to be swarms of bugs popped out of his head. They weren't normal-looking insects though, and fluttered on command around him. "'Fire Stone Insects'!"

After launching the insects at Juri, she quickly lifted her hand and closed her fingers tightly into a fist. There was an immediate shift in the air around her, and all the fluttering bugs suddenly stopped and slammed into the ground hard, dying from the intense vacuum pressure.

Jogo was about to speak when the road began to tremble, so he quickly swallowed his words back down. He looked down and saw a long crack running up the street between his legs. Immediately, he snapped his attention back to Juri and saw her in a wide stance, making a straining motion with her hands like she was tearing something apart. The ground bent to her will, and the floor finally gave out beneath Jogo. A mountain of rock and dirt piled on top of him, causing him to sink beneath the surface. He tried to wrangle himself free from the prison of the underground, but it was like the terrain was entirely under her control. There was nothing to grab onto as the earth swallowed him whole, and eventually, the moon disappeared from sight.

"This is a fraction of what Yurei's jujutsu technique can do. Anything can happen within this dome. From manipulating the terrain to creating something out of nothing," she said coolly to him while opening her hand and generating a small flame out of nothing in her palm. "This is her ability…this is 'Absolution'."
