World of Warcraft: The Forces of Nature
Prolouge: Vision of Things to Come
Things were very quite in Thunderbluff. The sun had set and most Tauren were inside their homes resting, except for one old shamen, Marderus. He was a wise old Tauren that the younger ones both respected and admired. He had dark brown hair covering his large, muscular body. He was a little hunched over from old age but still very tall. His long white horns bent upward, one of which had broken at the tip. He was currently in his tent getting ready to preforme a spell. The camp fire blazed inside the Marderus' tent. He was preforming a ritual that would make him one with nature. Lately he had felt a strange disturbance and he wanted to find out what was causing it. He through some blackened leaves from his pack on to the fire turning the flame from crimson red, to a mix of blue and green. Marderus breathed in the flame's smoke. He then sat down on the floor and closed his eyes. When he opened his eyes the vision of his tent had been replaced by a forest with many hills, trees and little sunlight. His apperance had changed as well. He now walked on all fours and was covered in thick gray fur. His hearing, sight, sense of smell had all been magnified. He had become a Wolf. He began to head in the dirrection where he felt the disturbance comming from. After about ten minuets of searching the forest, Marderus was about to give up when suddenly a strange red light appeared in the distance. As Marderus got closer he saw something horrifying. A group of undead warlocks were using their shadow magic to open up some sort of portal. The energy stretched and twisted until it finally opened up and became a portal. Inside he could see nothing but darkness, but then out of the shadows came glowing eyes that seemed to burn with flame. Marderus tried to look away but he could not, the eyes stared at him blazing with fire. Marderus heard a voice inside his head that sounded like the rumble of thunder, "THE TIME HAS COME!".
Marderus awoke back in his tent with a shock. He still had chills running down his spine. Just the thought of the voice made him a little dizzy. "Whatever that was it does not belong here. And it is in Lordearon...". He reached for his blue and green feathered staff in the corner of the tent. "I must stop this befor it grows out of control. This thing may be a threat to all of Azeroth.". And so he left his tent and began his journey. But befor he could deal with this growing threat he would need some help, he would have to go to Orgrimar to ask for the assistance of an old friend...
