At the military base, Monger was having some of his tech people setup a secure video call for Susan to call her parents using a tablet, a projector, and a movie screen. Susan sat on her specially constructed dinning chair in front of the screen as the call was made. A few moments the faces of Carl and Wendy Murphy appeared on the screen. At first Susan's parents were confused, but then their faces lite up with smiles as they saw their daughter.
"Hey mom. Hey dad." Said Susan with a smile and a wave.
"Oh sweetie, we're so glad to hear from you!" Said Wendy.
"Are you doing alright?" Asked Carl.
"I'm doing fine." Said Susan.
"We saw you on the news! We couldn't believe what we saw!" Said Wendy in excitement.
"Our baby girl fighting alongside superheroes and monsters against a giant alien robot and she saved San Francisco! You were incredible!" Said Carl with pride.
"You didn't get hurt did you?" Asked Wendy.
"No. No. I'm fine." Said Susan.
"Are you still a giant?" Asked Carl.
"Still am, but a ton of brilliant scientist are studying me to see if they can shrink me down to my normal size. I'm sure it's only a matter of time, until they figure it out." Said Susan.
"Good to hear, but no matter what happens we love you no matter what." Said Carl.
"Thanks dad. I got some great news." Said Susan.
"What's that?" Asked Wendy.
"The government is allowing me to come back home and they're going to provide me with housing. I'm also going to have a wedding dress designed by Edna Mode! Me and Derek are going to finish our wedding!" Said Susan excitedly.
"Oh sweetheart, we're so excited for you and Derek!" Said Wendy.
"Have you contacted Derek?" Asked Carl.
"Not yet." Said Susan.
"Why don't you focus on your move and dress and we give Derek the good news." Said Carl.
"Fine by me. Thanks dad. Thanks mom. I love you both." Said Susan.
"We love you too. Oh I'm so excited for you!" Said Wendy.
Susan waved goodbye and the call ended.
To be continued.
