Draco sighed as he stared out of the window. This was where he was supposed to live? The house was slightly smaller than his old one, but it was better than nothing. Narcissa stopped the car in the driveway and she stepped out, Draco and Penelope following shortly. Narcissa breathed in the new air and smiled. She had always loved moving, because she hated staying in one place for too long.
Turning to face her children, Narcissa let the smile fade away from her face. She had known that her children would hate to move, but it was for the best. Had they stayed in their old house, they would have all been killed. When Lucius had done what he did, his boss and his accomplices had been extremely angry. They had killed Lucius eventually and almost killed Narcissa and her kids.
Narcissa shook her head slightly and let the smile return to her face. Draco and Penelope were staring at the new house, most likely comparing it to the old one. She looked around and saw the moving truck pull up next to the house. As the movers got out of the truck and opened the back, Narcissa looked at the house once more. This was where she was going to live now. She needed to forget about the old house and the memories left there. They would create new, wonderful memories here.
"I'm sure this place isn't all that bad. I mean, look at the neighborhood. It's amazing. These houses are gorgeous!" Narcissa said as Draco and Penelope took their time to look up and down the street. She was correct. All the houses down the road were stunning. Surely they costed thousands of dollars.
"I'm going to help the movers. I don't fancy the idea of people touching my stuff without my supervision." Draco said as he walked over to the moving truck. He would have to get used to this place, but not for long. He was a senior in school which meant after he graduated, he was free to live elsewhere.
When Draco arrived at the truck, he started shoving boxes around until he found the ones that read: 'Draco's Boxes. FRAGILE.' He smirked and picked up one of the several boxes. He made his way out of the back of the truck and up to the front porch. He opened the door to the house and made his way up the long stairs.
It took him awhile to finally reach the top, but when he did, he looked down the long hall. There were many rooms that had a beautifully designed door with certain pictures carved into them. Draco carefully put the box down and made his way over to the first door. Carved into the wooden door, was a picture of a rose, surrounded by several different flowers that were half the size of the rose.
'Definitely not.' Draco thought as he made his way to the next door. This one had a ballerina dancing in a field with butterflies gently floating around her. Draco shook his head while he walked a few doors down and stopped when a certain door caught his interest. He gazed at the door. It had a beautiful scene carved into it. It was a dragon that stood ontop of a mountain of crystals. The dragon was breathing fire towards the sky, while a wizard stood further away from the dragon, pointing his wand at the dragon as if threatening it.
This door utterly fascinated Draco as he stared at it longer than necessary. Finally he opened the door, only to reveal a spacious bedroom that was about the same size as his other one. 'This is perfect' He told himself over and over again. Draco noticed a sliding glass door that showed a balcony. He instantly walked over to the door, slid it open, and walked out onto the balcony. The view was astounding. It overlooked a large pond that was only about one mile away from his bedroom.
Next to the pond stood a large Willow tree that looked as if it were leaning slightly over the pond. Looking past the pond, Draco could see a few more houses, but he didn't think much about that. He went to get his box that he had accidentally left next to the stairs. Once he reached the box, he picked it up and carried it into his room. He dropped it and left to go grab more of his belongings.
Once outside, he spotted his mother and Penelope talking to a lady, man, and a boy about his age. The lady had long, beautiful red hair that had been confined in a small, green ribbon. Draco couldn't see her eyes clearly, as it was dark already, but they looked green. She was smiling and talking to his mother. Next to the lady stood a tall man who Draco assumed to be her husband. He had dark brown hair that was sticking up in certain places. He had brown eyes that were so dark they almost seemed black. He was also smiling as he watched the two women talk about whatever it is that women talk about.
Draco's gaze travelled over to the last person. He was a boy who was not much taller than Draco. He was presumably as old as Draco too. He had dark raven locks that he had no doubt inherited from his father as it stuck up in nearly every direction. He was definitely well-built. Draco could see it through the shirt that clung to him like a second skin. The boy also had incredible Emerald eyes that took Draco's breath away. He had obviously got that trait from his mother, although his eyes were more beautiful to Draco. Unfortunately, they were covered up by golden-framed glasses.
"Draco, honey. Come over here and meet our new neighbors." Draco's mother called to him. He now noticed that everyone was looking at him as they patiently waited for him to make his way across the lawn. Once Draco was finally standing next to Penelope, he looked at the new family.
"These are the Potters. They live next door. Their son, Harry, is the same age as you. Isn't he cute?" Penelope whispered to him. He blushed at her question. 'Well of course he's cute! Hell, he's bloody gorgeous!' Draco screamed in his mind.
"Hello there, Draco is it? I'm Lily Potter." The woman with the red hair held out her hand to Draco, her smile never fading. Draco grasped her hand in his and shook it gently. After stating his name, Draco moved onto Lily's husband who said his name was James. He had a firm grip that strongly reminded him if his father Lucius.
"Harry Potter." The raven haired boy grabbed Draco's hand and shook it. Draco smiled and nodded.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Harry Potter." Draco's stomached turned as Harry smiled. Harry had a beautiful smile that would make anybody melt.
"Oh the pleasure's all mine." Draco blushed a bright red at this statement. He looked down at his feet and mumbled, " I'm gonna go unpack my stuff."
Draco quickly walked away from everyone and could hear Lily tell his mother things like, "Oh your son is adorable!" and "I hope he and Harry become friends!" Draco shook his head and mumbled something that sounded like "women."
As Draco placed his hand on the banister, he made his way up the stairs. He thought about Harry and how good he looked in those clothes. Draco silently hoped that Harry would be in some of his classes. Hopefully he and Harry could become friends and then perhaps something more? 'Don't be absurd, Draco! Harry isn't gay!'
When Draco finally reached his door, he heard soft footsteps behind him. He turned around to find himself mere inches away from Harry Potter. He could feel the heat rising in his cheeks as Harry stared at him. After what seemed like hours, Draco spoke up.
"What do you think you are doing up here Potter?" Draco asked as he tilted his head slightly. Harry smiled yet again and opened his mouth to speak when Draco gasped.
"I forgot to call Pansy! I'm in so much trouble!" He immediately turned around , twisted the doorknob, and flung the door open as fast as he could. He grabbed the nearest box and opened it. Draco carelessly flung items around as he searched for his phone. Draco let out a triumphant cry as he pulled out his cordless phone.
"There's a phone jack over here." Harry said, pointing to a hole in the wall. Indeed there was a phone jack. Draco smiled gratefully at Harry and mumbled a 'Thanks'. He plugged the phone in as fast as he could and took the phone off of the hook and dialed Pansy's phone number.
Draco waited for the phone to ring a few times before someone answered.
"Hello?"
"Hi, Pansy. It's Lolli." Harry chuckled at this and Draco glared at him. Draco got the nickname Lolli when he and Pansy were at an amusement park.
~*~ Flashback~*~
Draco sighed as he patted his stomach. He sure could use some candy right about now. A nice, big lollipop. Draco loved lollipops. He would only eat that, or truffles. He spotted a candy store next to a big roller coaster. It was a candy shop.
"Pansy! Let's go to the candy shop over there!"
"Okay! I could use some chocolate." They both walked over to the candy shop and waited in line. When they had finally arrived at the cashier, they asked for what they wanted.
"I'll take the chocolate covered watermelon pieces." Pansy said as she pointed to a container. Draco skimmed around the containers and noticed that they didn't have what he wanted.
"Excuse me? Do you have any lollipops?"
The cashier looked at Draco questioningly. He looked over at Pansy and then at Draco. After he blinked a few times, he took out the container that held the chocolate covered watermelon pieces. He filled a small bag full and handed it to Pansy.
"That will be 5 dollars."
"Excuse me! I asked you if you had any lollipops!" Draco exclaimed. The guy just looked at Draco again and then shook his head.
"We don't sell lollipops here anymore. Nobody bought them anymore, so we threw them all away."
Draco's eyes grew as big as saucers. They threw away the lollipops?! "WHAT!? WHY THE HELL DID YOU THROW AWAY LOLLIPOPS!?" Draco jumped over the counter and lunged for the cashier. He wrapped his hands tightly around the man's throat. Pansy shrieked as she tried to pry Draco's hands from the man's neck.
"Sir, let go of him." A big, bulky man told Draco calmly.
"NO! I WANT A LOLLIPOP!!"
The big man grabbed Draco and dragged him away from the amusement park. All the way to the parking lot, Draco screeamed and kicked with Pansy not far behind. They had both been kicked out of the amusement park temporarily for causing disturbance. Pansy glared at Draco as they headed off towards their car.
"Nice going. From now on, I think I'll call you Lolli. As a reminder of this wonderous day."
~*~ End Flashback~*~
"Draco! Why didn't you call as soon as you got there like you said!?"
"But I did just get here!"
"You cannot fool me Draco Kai Malfoy!"
"Well mother insisted I meet our knew neighbors. Something like...Pottery or Pothead." Draco made hand gestures as he tried to remember Harry and his family's last name. Harry took this time to inform Draco that he was still in the room and his name was not Pothead.
"I'm still here you imbecile and it's Potter."
The room was quiet for a few second until Pansy finally decided to grace Harry and Draco with her voice." So Lolli. Seeing guy's without telling me first, are you?"
This had Pansy's desired affect as Draco blushed a deep crimson. He looked up at Harry who was standing right infront of him, giving him a perfect view of Harry's crotch. He quickly looked away, noticing that all of his boxes were in his room. 'The movers must have brought them up. Damn.'
"Lolli, look. I think I'll leave you alone with Pothead. Have fun! Don't do anything I wouldn't do!" Pansy giggled as she hung the phone up, Draco doing the same. The room was quiet for awhile until Harry jumped onto Draco's bed and lay on it.
"So... Tell me about yourself, Draco."
