Ch11

Great more trouble. Slur summoned a bunch of cords and spears to pierce the hoard of viruses that tried to surround them. The group of navis around her did their best to repel the viruses around them but only two navis caught her attention, Pharaohman and the new asteroid navi.

So this is our test? She watched Asteroid Blues fight off the hordes of viruses around him with ease. A wave of unease spread throughout her as she eyed the asteroid navi out of the corner of her eye. I'll have to be careful, if Lord Duo is using that to test us then this won't be an easy fight.

Asteroid navis were stronger than normal navis here on earth. They were specifically made to serve Duo and their temporary operators. Not only were they strong they could influence their operators for better or worse.

So this is our test? She took care of a half dozen viruses with a few cords. I won't fail it. I will pass this trial with flying colors.

The ground shook. She turned to Pharaohman who was always surprised. "Who dares interrupt me?" Pharaohman asked.

A large green figure erupted from the ground. It looked like a large virus the size of a house. Around the virus were Fireman, Colorman, Electman, and Magicman.

"WWW what are they doing here?" Roll asked.

"Foolish Pharaohman you have defied us for the last time," said a voice in the distance. "WWW will take you down here and now. The Life Virus is our strongest creation feel its strength!"

Pharaohman laughed. "Foolish mortals I shall not be contained."

The Life Virus along with the WWW navis attacked Pharaohman but the navi easily deflected their attacks and countered with a beam of energy causing the WWW forces to scatter.

"Looks like we may have to clear the field," Netto said. "Vulcan slot in!"

She fired at the various viruses but they were slowly being killed off by Asteroid Blues. "How did Blues get stronger?" Roll asked as Blues quickly deleted the remaining viruses.

"Just stand back and be prepared for anything," she said. "Netto-kun we should be cautious."

Netto looked at her, the two exchanged a look. In his eyes she knew that Netto knew that this was a delicate situation. "Be safe Slur." His soft voice barely hid the emotion in his words.

"I won't fail don't worry," she said smiling at her operator. A warm feeling spread throughout her body. Looking into his eyes she felt this small spark, a strange feeling that two beings felt when they were close to each other. Is this trust? A strange emotion. Either way we are both in this together we might as well fight as one.

Netto smiled back and nodded. Her operator was tenser than usual and was eyeing Asteroid Blues with suspicion. He doesn't know how strong they are, but this one is stronger than usual I can tell by looking at him he was personally made by Lord Duo.

The Life Virus fired a blast of energy at Blues but the asteroid navi merely took the hit as if it were nothing.

"How is he able to do that?" Iceman asked. "He seems stronger than before." The other navis around them nodded their heads in agreement. She could tell by the expressions on their faces that they could tell something was off.

"Maybe his operator programmed him to be stronger?" Glide said.

"Stand behind me and be careful our enemy will be strong," she said summoning a pair of swords in her hands.

Pharaohman descended and fired a blast of energy at them. I won't fall for that again. She quickly dodged the attack as two sphinxes appeared from the ground.

Slicing them in half she watched as WWW fired attacks at Pharaohman to no avail. "Foolish mortals you cannot defeat me," Pharaohman laughed as he descended on the ground. "This world will be my domain. Extending his hands two large statues appeared behind him. "Now perish for your insolence!"

A yellow aura enveloped Pharaohman and the navi clapped his hands together. A powerful shock wave reverberated throughout the area sending all navis but her and Asteroid Blues to the ground.

"Bow before my power!" Pharaohman declared as he fired a blast of energy at her and Blues.

The red navi slashed through it with his sword cutting the beam in half with ease. "Blues delete him!" Enzan said his voice sounding colder than she remembered.

Looks like his influence has already grown. She'd seen asteroid navis influence their operators to do heinous things. Great this will be more complicated. If his operator is enticed then Netto will be in danger. She clenched her fists, she wasn't going to let anyone hurt him.

Pharaohman summoned two sphinxes that charged at the red navi. Blues moved quickly and deleted them both in a blink of an eye.

He is faster. She summoned her swords and quickly defeated a pair of sphinxes that came at her and decapitated them.

"Slur did he get quicker?" Netto asked as Blues took care of a hoard of sphinxes with ease.

"He got upgraded," she said. "We just proceed cautiously for now."

Netto gave her a worried look but nodded. "Be careful." She could hear the unease in his voice, he didn't know the danger of asteroid navis but he was no fool and knew something was up with Blues' sudden reappearance.

He was deleted badly it wouldn't be that easy to bring him back. She then charged at Pharaohman, summoning some cords she attempted to bind him but the enemy navi just flew up in the air.

"Foolish woman you cannot hope to bind me with thine chains," Pharaohman said as she fired a blast of energy at her.

"Area Steal slot in!' Netto said. "Vulcan slot in!"

She was quickly teleported to Pharaohman's left and quickly fired at the navi with her blaster. "Slur do you think you can take him?" Netto asked his voice sounding half hopeful and cautious.

Looking at her operator she knew he wasn't just talking about Pharaohman. "We'll have to be cautious but do not worry I intend on surviving this. We just have to be extra cautious."

Netto smiled at her and nodded. "We'll do it together. Whoever our enemies are we will defeat them together."

Looking her operator in the eyes she nodded. "I'll be looking forward to your operating skills."

"Great then lets end this," Netto said with a wide grin. "Canon slot in!"

She fired the canon shot at Pharaohman point blank. The navi wasn't phased and turned to her. "A woman like you dares to challenge me? Know your place you slave!"

A blast of energy came her way but she quickly dodged it and summoned her swords. Blues reached Pharaohman first. Pharaohman was taken by surprise by Blues' speed and attempted to block it with his aura but Blues cut through it like butter.

"What is this?" Pharaohman swore as she came upon him and slashed at him piercing his sides.

Pharaohman roared in pain as Blues rushed past her. "Die you pest!" The navi's arm glowed gold as it attempted to block Blues' sword. However, the red navi's blade cut through it easily.

"AHH!" Pharaohmen let out a scream of pain as data fell from his severed arm.

Blues' body glowed a menacing red. "Die criminal!" His voice was cold and robotic and in a blink of an eye stabbed Pharaohman in his chest.

Damn he is quicker. With a snap of her fingers she summoned a series of spears from the ground which finished off Pharaohman.

As soon as the navi was deleted the sand around them began to dissipate and soon the area around them became the normal Scilab control room.

"We did it!" Roll said.

She nodded her posture stiffening as she watched Blues turn to face the WWW navis. It happened in an instant. Blues charged at Colorman and in one slash of his sword deleted him.

The navi's screams reverberated throughout the area as his allies protested. "Hey what's the big idea?" Elecman said as he fired a blast of electricity at Blues.

Blues ignored the attack and pierced his blade into Elecman's chest deleting. Fireman and Magicman both recoiled and attacked the red navi but Blues dodged their attacks and went for them. Their screams echoed throughout the area as they were attacked.

"Wh-What is he doing?" Roll asked sounding horrified. "I know they work for WWW but he is just slaughtering them."

Magicman was deleted in one blow. Fireman was next, Blues cut his arms off before decapitating him. Ruthless just like any other asteroid navi. She should know she helped make them.

The other navis stared at Blues in shock at what he did. "H-Hey what's the big idea," Sharkman asked. "Yeah they were bad guys but did you have to delete them like that?"

"All evil must be purged," Blues said coldly. "All criminals must be terminated. All who get in our way will be punished."

The navi stepped forward looking at her. "Slur I believe you owe me a rematch?"

"What are you talking about?" Netto said appearing on a screen next to her. "Enzan what is going on?"

Enzan appeared on a screen next to his navi. His face was paler his eyes had bags underneath them his gaze looking as if he went mad. "What is going on is that we are going to show you who is stronger. Blues lets give them some incentive."

"Roger," Blues said turning to face Gutsman.

"Look out!" she shouted but it was too late.

In one slash Blues deleted both Gutsman and Glide. Iceman fell over in fear and let out a scream as Blues brought his sword down on the small navi deleting him instantly.

"Hey what's the big idea!" Netto protested his friends yelling in anger and sorrow behind him.

Enzan laughed. "No one can stop us. We'll defeat you both. You'll know the consequences of getting in our way."

Great he is already under its influence. She knew that Asteroid Navis prayed on the emotions of their operators and the more emotionally distressed the operator the easier it is to manipulate them.

"You won't get away with this," Netto said glaring at the boy. "You want to fight fine."

Enzan gave Netto a dark smile. "Good. Just a reminder to come alone. Blues take her!"

She was about to stop her but it was too late. Roll let out a scream as Blues chopped her leg off and grabbed her by the throat. "One wrong step and she's a goner," Blue said holding his blade to her throat.

She swore. Gripping her swords in her hand she was tempted to have a go at this naiv. Yet the desire to fight this navi was clashing with her desire to get Netto upset. He would want to save her. I can't act rashly, one wrong step and I'll fail.

"Roll!" Meiru screamed. "Please let her go."

Enzan laughed. "Come alone Hikari or else she'll get it."

"Enough!" Woodman said as he summoned wood to try and capture Blues. The Red navi easily dodged the attack and lunged at Woodman deleting him in one strike.

"I can take you punks with one arm," Blues said as he quickly slashed at Sharkman and Skullman severely injuring them both. "Anymore interference and she is a goner!" Blues said gripping Roll tightly by the throat.

Netto swore. "You won't get away with this."

"I'll send you the coordinates come alone or else," Enzan said coldly. "Blues lets go."

"Roger." Blues quickly logged out with Roll in hand.

She clenched her fists. Damn him. "Netto-kun lets do this."

Her operator turned to him his eyes burning with anger. "Yeah lets show this punk what happens when you mess with my friends." She smiled at him. Looking into his eyes she felt a warm sensation spread throughout her body. You want to test our bond? I'll show you our bond Lord Duo. Netto will always stand up and fight. I'll show you what he can do.
