What ever happened to the Boo Brothers?
Chapter 1: Prologue
It was a typical day at the Beauregard plantation. It was late in the evening and it was startling to drizzle a bit, which wasn't out of place here.
The old, spooky looking mansion was just as creepy and abandoned as ever, with the exception of the "caretaker" who could care less about how it looks now that the Colonel was gone and the three wacky ghosts who now reside in this place, making it their home.
These ghosts are Freako, Meako, and Shreako, otherwise known as the Boo Brothers, a trio of "ghost hunters" who also happen to be ghosts themselves.
The ghostly brothers were currently having the time of their lives in their home. Shreako, was pulling pranks, Freako was barking orders and Meako was trying to keep the peace between his brothers.
"BANG!..."Shreako said as he appeared as a rifle and pretended to go off, scaring his brother.
"That wasn't funny, Shreako!..."Meako complained in his timid voice.
"Then why am I laughing?..."Shreako said, before letting out his iconic chuckle.
Freako, who had been reading a newspaper, saw this and got annoyed.
"Be quiet, you two! I'm trying to read the paper!..."Freako said as he bopped Shrieko on the head and misshaping it.
"Sheesh, learn how to take a joke..."Shreako said, as he used his hands to turn his head back to his original shape.
"Learn how to grow up!..."Freako said, irritated as he smacked him again.
"Can't we all just get along?..."Meako complained, but was ignored by his eldest brother.
"Lighten up, you two. I was just joking around..."Freako said.
"Well, cut it out! We all know you aren't funny!..."Freako said, annoyed.
"Says you, I've been known to crack up!..."Shreako said, and demonstrated it by pretending to break into pieces.
Freako rolled his eyes and response by picking up a broom and dust pan, "sweeping up" his comedic brother and dumping him in a nearby waste basket.
"Now, you can finally clean up your act!..."Freako said, while Shreako, back to normal, got out of the trash and looked annoyed.
"Hahaha, now who's trying to be funny..."The joke-loving ghost said, as he wiped himself clean.
"Funnier than you are, that's for sure..."Freako said and Meako did his best to stay out of their spat.
Before they could quarrel some more, the clock chimed and they are grinned when they saw what time it was.
"Oh boy, supper time!..."Shreako said.
"Goody, before he left, Farquard left some grub in the kitchen..."Meako said.
"Well, let's go. I can't keep you two yahoo's in line on an empty stomach..."Freako said.
The trio of brothers soon headed to the kitchen, causing their own brand of mischief on the way.
A few minutes later
The Boo brothers soon made it to the kitchen and quickly began gorging on the food that Farquard had left for them before he left. The ghosts were all enjoying themselves as they stuffed their faces.
"This is the after life, ain't it fellas?..."Freako said, looking content after eating a large Dagwood sandwich.
"You said it, Freako. Food, laughs and a home of our home. We really have it made..."Shreako agreed, before swallowing an entire watermelon whole.
"Yeah..."Meako said as he ate a turkey leg and felt more relaxed.
However, as the ghosts ate and were merry, they didn't notice as someone or something was spying on them from the window, seeing the ghosts and frowning as it began to make it's move.
The Boo brothers were all fighting over the last piece of pizza, when they suddenly heard what was scratching sounds.
"What was that?..."Meako asked, looking nervous.
"It was probably just the wind, ya wimp..."Freako said as he reached for the pizza, but Shreako beat him to it.
"You snooze, ya lose!..."He said, before swallowing the slice whole and laughing at him.
"Why I oguhta-..."Before Freako could finish his threat, something else happened.
Something freaky!
They heard the sound of a crash and some wild animal sounds coming from outside.
"What was that?..."Freak asked, confused.
"No clue. Maybe that doofus Billy-Bob is hunting again..."Shreako said, but they didn't hear the sound of an old rifle and the other strange sounds kept happening.
They wondered what was causing them but that wasn't the end of it. Suddenly, the lights flickered a bit and soon went out, then they went off.
"Hey, who turned off the lights?!..."Freako asked, looking upset as Meako went to the light switch but it wasn't working anymore.
"I thought Farquad paid the bill already..."Meako said as it was still dark.
"Then why is it darker than Bear care right now?..."Shreako asked, but he and his brothers had a feeling they weren't alone.
They heard spooky sounds and growling, like a bear or something worse was nearby.
"ROOOOOOOOAARRRRRRRRRR!..."Was heard, making the ghosts gasp in horror and huddle together.
"What what that?!..."Meako asked, spooked out.
"Shreako, cut it out! It's not funny!..."Freako complained, thinking that this is another one of his pranks.
He was ready to bop him again, but his mischief-making brother wasn't laughing and seemed confused too. He even raised his hands and tried to defend himself.
"I swear, I'm not the one doing this!..."Shreako said, as things kept getting freaky.
"Then what the heck is going on here?!..."Freako demanded as he hated this whole mess, but didn't know what was going on.
"Guys, I'm scared!..."Meako said, trembling a bit.
"You're ALWAYS scared. Just shut up and let me see what's going on!..."Freako said as he tried to figure out what happened to the lights and what that sound was.
However, thanks to a flash of lightning appearing, they could barely see what was outside the window...and they saw something ran pass their window very quick, startling them as the growling got worse.
"ROAR!..."Was heard louder than ever.
"AH! What was that thing?!..."Meako yelped, scared.
"You sure this ain't your doing, Shreako?..."Freako asked, less angry and more worried.
"Yeah, I swear!..."Shreako said as he and his brothers even clung together as the spooky sounds got louder and closer.
"What's happening?..."Meako asked, whimpering as he got even more scared than usual.
Soon a large, shadowy figure soon burst into the kitchen by breaking the door open. It now stood in the dark kitchen and starting growling and snarling.
"ROOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRR!..."The figure let out as it faced the owners of the Beauregard mansion.
The trio of ghosts saw this and despite their status as ghosts and ghosts hunters, they panicked at the sight of the large, mysterious being that broke into their home.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!..."The Boo brothers all screamed as the being descended on them, and the evening at the spooky Beauregard mansion just got even spookier.
