Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura were standing on of the floating rocks inside Kaguya's dimension, staring at Kaguya, as she stared back at them in shock, the fact that she was being sealed again not quite registering.

And Sakura could not be happier.

No, Sakura wasn't the type of person to feel happiness at the destruction of an enemy, but she couldn't help but feel a small vindictive pleasure in her heart at the defeat of this particular foe. Kaguya had seen fit to toy with people's lives, likening their emotions to a game of chess.

And none of it was even for a good cause. Then again, Sakura supposed that anyone who had the tendency to do that wouldn't do it for a good cause.

And so she was content. Not just with the aforementioned vindictive pleasure of Kaguya's pseudo-death, but the end of the war, of all of the apocalyptic conflict that had been hanged over their lives as shinobi.

But just as Sakura let her guard down, she saw blood dripping out of the eye on Kaguya's forehead. Blood.

"Uhh, Guys," Naruto said. "I think something's coming."

None of them even thought, they just jumped at the goddess. But deep in her heart Sakura knew that it was too late.

"Ahhhhh!" screamed Naruto. Sakura even heard Sasuke growl in pain. Sakura was slightly confused, until then pain hit her too. It felt as if her very cells were mutating, destroying themselves every second they existed. Even in the pain, Sakura could register the very world around shifting, colors spinning around, bleeding into each other, as if they were trying to create a world before their very eyes.

Oh god. Oh god. Oh god, what was happening, where was Kaguya, and why wasn't the pain stopping.

But just as she thought that, the pain stopped, and all she felt was a warm ache, as if her body had just come out of the oven.

"What, in all hell, is happening!"

Naruto's confused screech did nothing to stop the pounding in Sakura's head and the confusion that was wracking her brain.

"Naruto, will you stop the screaming!" yelled Sasuke.

"Sasuke, I feel like I have the right to freak out, ya know, considering my body feels like it's been pan-fried!"

"You're doing nothing to stop that feeling by screaming," growled the Uchiha.

"And you're doing nothing by not demanding an explanation!"

By now, Sakura was pissed. She felt physically hot, queasy, disoriented, and annoyed by the fact that the two strongest shinobi in the land were bickering like children. Sakura got off of her spread-eagled position on the floor and yelled at the two of them

"Shut up, the two of you!" she screamed, as she punched the ground. Sakura tried not to push too much chakra into her fists, but she had inadvertently turned the classroom into a battleground. Wait, Classroom?

After Sakura had finally gotten herself together, she looked at the place she had accidentally destroyed. Splinters of hardwood, blocks of concrete, and broken classroom materials were scattered along the entire room. Naruto was using Six Paths Sage Mode to levitate at the very back of the classroom, no doubt terrified of her outburst. Sasuke, who had used his Rinnegan to switch with a relatively large chunk of concrete, didn't look as terrified of Naruto, but still looked slightly on edge. But, there was something slightly wrong with the 2 of them.

For one, Naruto had all of his Truth Seeker Orbs back. On top of that, he looked a lot smaller than she remembered. Now Naruto had never been that tall, but during the war, he had just been getting his growth spurt, and was about as tall as the two of them. Now, he was tiny.

But the real change came when she took a good look at Sasuke.

Sasuke, much like Naruto, was a lot smaller than she remembered, but everything was physically the same, other than the fact that he had closed his Rinnegan eye for some reason. But instead, he wore the blue shirt and black shorts combo that he was wearing in his genin days. Sakura's eyes widened at the sight, and started to look at herself, only to see the same change. Instead of her Jonin outfit, she was wearing the red qipao dress of her genin days.

"What, in all hell, is happening?" screamed Sakura. Naruto's expression immediately went from terrified to angered. Even Sasuke seemed to relax a little.

"That's kinda what I was asking!" screamed Naruto. Sasuke rolled his eyes.

Okay Sakura, deep breaths. In, and out. Now we can solve this problem.

"Okay, where are we even?" she asked. Sasuke finally spoke, both of his eyes slightly wide.

"Just look behind you." Sakura blinked and turned to see her answer. There was a large chalkboard behind her, and in bold letters, it wrote,

'WELCOME TO THE GENIN GRADUATION!' Sakura's eyes went wide with panic.

"Uhhh, we're in a genjutsu, aren't we? Because that would be a lot easier to deal with than what I'm thinking right now." Sasuke shook his head.

"No, I'm immune to Genjutsu," said Sasuke. Naruto started to speak.

"And what if you're part of the genjutsu huh?" Sasuke scowled.

"Because, a Genjutsu wouldn't point out the fact that they're in a genjutsu. Besides, you saw what Kaguya did, right? What kind of Genjutsu would Kaguya even put us in?"

Sakura frowned. "Ya, Sasuke's right about this one. As much as I don't want to admit it, I'm not sure if Kaguya even has enough chakra control for anything other than the Infinite Tsukuyomi." Naruto frowned as well.

"Well, what is this then? You can't seriously be considering Time Travel can you?" Sakura nodded.

"Think about this Naruto. The Infinite Tsukuyomi is wish fulfillment. I for one don't want to go back in time. I just want to go home." Sakura watched as Naruto slowly let go of the Kyuubi's chakra and went up to Sakura with a sad smile on his face.

"We'll think of something Sakura," Naruto assured. It was a tender moment in an overall completely confusing world. Finally, Naruto let go of Sakura and brought up the question that was hanging on his mind.

"I hate to break up at this moment, but we need to figure out what to do." Sasuke narrowed his eyes, clearly confused at what Naruto was talking about.

"And what do you mean by that?" Naruto looked at Sasuke liked he was stupid.

"We need to find out where we are." Sasuke blinked.

"Isn't it obvious? We're back in time. We're on the day of our Genin graduation," said Sasuke.

"That's well and all, but where's the proof? I mean, Time Travel is ridiculous!" Sasuke raised an eyebrow.

"More ridiculous than a goddess creating entire worlds with a Rinnegan?" Naruto blinked before conceding.

"I mean, you're right, but we also need proof. This could be literally anything else!" Sasuke conceded.

"You're right," he said. "So, how are we supposed to prove time travel?" asked Sasuke.

The three of them sat in the destroyed classroom for a few minutes, trying to think of any way that they could prove their supposed predicament. Sakura then thought of something.

"So, we're all in agreement that this is either Time Travel or the Infinite Tsukuyomi, right?" The two boys of the team nodded. "So, that means that if this place isn't the perfect world for all of us then it can't be a genjutsu, right?" Sasuke looked down in thought, and then nodded in agreement. Naruto, on the other hand, spoke.

"So, who's going to prove it?" he asked. Sakura and Sasuke blinked at each other as they slowly looked at Naruto, who started to deadpan.

"Really?"

There was a slight silence, before Sakura remembered something, and pulled her headband down past her hair. It wouldn't do to show the world that she had the hundred healings seal as a genin.

Kakashi was having a relatively normal day, if one considered normal being having a peaceful day at the memorial stone. That had all changed however, when he shunshined in front of the Academy doors. Immediately, he felt a wave of powerful Chakra hitting him. Immediately he thought maybe the Kyuubi had broken out, but then he finally registered what the Chakra felt like.

Kakashi was on the front lines of the fight against the Kyuubi, and had felt what the chakra was like. It was a wave of pure, unadulterated hatred, destructive power incarnate. This Chakra, whatever it was, felt warm and comforting. The only similarity it really had with the Kyuubi's chakra was that it felt powerful. As such, he set onto a wary trot inside of the academy. He was just about to go into the academy, when he felt a shockwave emanate from one of the classrooms, and the chakra dissipate. Huh, that's interesting.

Kakashi however, still didn't see the need to really freak out, since nothing had really happened, the academy still seemed to be standing. Just before he opened the door however, an orange blur opened it and bumped right into him. Kakashi looked down to see a sight he didn't expect. Sitting on the ground was a blond Naruto Uzumaki, orange jumpsuit and all, nursing his head.

"Owww, holy crap, what's your proble…," But Naruto stopped right there, in order to stare right at him. Kakashi couldn't quite decipher what was in those blue eyes of his, which was odd in and of itself, but Kakashi could swear that mixed in with the surprise, he could see a little sadness. Before Kakashi could say anything though, Naruto spoke up.

"I kinda have to go somewhere. Boss is inside the classroom." Kakashi blinked at the phrasing, right before looking into the classroom.

What he saw inside shocked him. It also explained a lot.

Inside was the oddest looking classroom he had ever come across. Mainly because the classroom was in shambles, pieces of desks, splinters of wood and chunks of concrete covering the entire area. And in the middle of it all, were three fresh out of the academy genin, standing around in the classroom like nothing had even happened.

Kakashi examined the students closely, only to see little quirks on his students. Sasuke Uchiha, obviously the black haired kid in the very right, had one eye closed, and his Sharingan active, of which he had gained all 3 tomoe. Kakashi raised an eyebrow at that. Nobody told me anything about that. Naruto, who he had previously assumed ran past him outside, was standing in front of him, with the same expression that the other Naruto had given him. That's when he realized it. The Shadow Clone Jutsu? How does Naruto of all people know that? The change in pink haired Sakura Haruno was a little more subtle, but it was there. The reports of Sakura Haruno showed her as a timid, angry, self-conscious girl. The Sakura Haruno in front of him stood up tall, confident. She had the look of someone who was self assured. Kakashi narrowed his eyes on the 3 of them.

"My first impression of the three of you." Kakashi thought of what to say before it came to him.

"You're all insane! Meet me up on the roof." Kakashi saw the Haruno girl's eye twitching in anger. Huh, there's the anger that the reports told me about. Kakashi then shunshined up to the roof, only to blink at the sight of Sasuke Uchiha. Does the kid know the Shunshin? If so, then where's the smoke? The other odd part about the kid was that he had his right eye closed, despite clearly not being bothered by it. Kakashi narrowed his eyes and decided to inquire.

"What happened to your eye?" Kakashi barely caught it, but he could see the defensiveness in the boy's eyes.

"It got hurt. When the classroom was destroyed," he said. Kakashi was still confused.

"And how exactly did that happen?" he asked. As Kakashi examined Sasuke, he could see, even if minutely, that he was scrambling for an answer, before the door behind them slammed open and he saw Sakura and Naruto walk in, Sakura with a friendly yet confident smile, and Naruto all sunshine and rainbows.

"Hey Sasuke!" Kakashi almost missed the relief on Sasuke's face, but it was undeniably there.

What the hell was it with these students?

There were too many questions that needed answering at the moment, so he pushed all of them to the back of his mind.

"So, I think it would be a good idea to introduce ourselves, don't you think?" said Kakashi.

Silence. Kakashi was never good at these kinds of things. But before the silence could get any more awkward, Sakura spoke.

"Don't you think you should start? We don't know anything about you," she asked. Kakashi didn't think it was a bad idea, so he conceded.

"Okay, not a bad idea. Well, my name is Kakashi Hatake. My likes are a little too mature for you three, my dislikes are none of your concern, and," Kakashi put a pause there for effect, "I don't really have a dream."

For one, the three genin reacted in ways that he had expected. Sakura Haruno looked like she wanted to kill someone, Naruto looked incredibly annoyed, and Sasuke breathed in and out, as if trying to control his anger. Kakashi smiled. Annoying academy students was always hilarious.

"So, don't you think it's time to introduce yourselves?" he asked.

Silence again. Mother of God, what was it with these children?

"So, don't you want to introduce yourselves?" he asked. It was at this point in time that Sakura started to speak.

"Sasuke could genuinely care less about introducing himself, Naruto is undoubtedly annoyed with you, and I want to kill you right now. Needless to say no one really cares right now." Kakashi raised his eyebrow.

"Threatening someone clearly stronger is counterproductive to making a good first impression," he said. It was at this point that he got his greatest surprise.

Sakura simply raised her eyebrow, Sasuke rolled his eyes, and Naruto snorted. He snorted. As if the idea that he could even lay a finger on an academy student was idiotic. Him. Kakashi of the Sharingan.

His first impression of Genin teams were usually pretty wrong, but he was convinced that he had hit the nail with this one. All three of these students were insane.

Kakashi decided he would concede this one time and introduced himself.

"Fine. Once again, my name is Kakashi Hatake. My likes really are too mature for you three. My dislikes include traitors, snobs and probably you 3 in the future. And my dream is to find the greatest Genin team of all time," he said. Sasuke's face remained aloof, Sakura seemed satisfied, and Naruto remained annoyed.

"Fine, I'll go first," said Sakura. "My name is Sakura Haruno. My likes include flowers, medical ninjutsu and my friends. My dislikes include traitors and idiots. My dream is to one day surpass Tsunade." Kakashi couldn't help but raise his eyebrow. This Sakura Haruno was nothing like the person the files had described. Sakura Haruno was supposed to be boy crazy, timid, and scared. As he had noted before, this person was confident and had actual goals and aspirations.

"I'll go now," said Naruto. "My name is Naruto Uzumaki. I like ramen, especially the one at Ichiraku, and cool jutsus. My dislikes include traitors and uhhh, is that it you guys?" Naruto asked, before turning to his teammates. Sasuke finally spoke.

"You forgot about the ramen cooking time," he said, sounding slightly irritated.

"Ehh, but I don't really care about the cooking time anymore, so I think it's only traitors i'm annoyed at. And my dream is obviously to become Hokage," said Naruto. Both Sakura and Naruto turned over to Sasuke, who reluctantly started.

"My name is Sasuke Uchiha. I don't like a lot of things, and I hate a lot. My dream is to save all of my clan and kill a certain man." Kakashi was disappointed to notice that nothing about the Uchiha had changed, unlike Naruto and Haruno. The Jounin-sensei couldn't help but notice the wording of his dream though. Whatever he meant by saving all of his clan.

"Well, all of you seem like a pretty close bunch of students. But, despite having taken the Genin test, you three are still actually still students."

Silence again. After 5 minutes of pin drop silence, Sakura spoke up, almost as if her question was an afterthought.

"Umm, uh, what exactly are you talking about?" she asked. Naruto spoke up afterwards.

"Ya, uh, what do you mean, we've already taken the Genin test right? That means we're Genin," he said. Kakashi spoke up afterwards.

"The Genin tests are only for those students who could become Genin. It's up to the Jounin-sensei to actually see if they are worth becoming Genin. This secondary test has nearly a 67% failure rate," Kakashi said. The reaction he got from them was completely different from what he expected.

None of them reacted at all. In fact, the closest thing to a reaction he got was almost a snort from Naruto, who was clearly trying to control himself. However, he saw not a single reaction from Sasuke and Sakura.

"Any questions?" Kakashi asked.

"No," said Sakura.

"Nope," said Naruto, while popping the p.

"Mhmm," said Sasuke.

"Ok, it's time I see you tomorrow," said Kakashi. Just as he was turning around Kakashi added, "Oh, and by the way, don't eat breakfast tomorrow. You're just going to thro…" but he was cut off by the blond.

"Ya, ya whatever, we get it, this test is going to be hard. Can you get on with it already?" he asked.

Kakashi blinked at the 12-year old, and took the chance to leave the roof immediately. For the 1st time in his career as a teacher, Kakashi Hatake left a Genin meeting frustrated, and not the other way around.

The gray haired Jounin had no idea how much of a trend that was going to become.
