Chapter 1
(This story is based on a Villain Deku! AU Comic by Bobafish)
Ochako Uraraka, known as the 21 year old hero Uravity, enters her apartment home tiredly after another day of patrols and an extended period in her agency's office. She had finished a long-going case file on the remnants of what used to be the League of Villains. The organization was a threat to society… keyword being was. Thanks to the combined efforts of several heroes and an unusual ally, the group was all but dismantled, with most being either dead or incarcerated… except for 1. As she removes her heels, she turns on the lights in her apartment as an unusual chill goes down her spine. She slowly walks further into her home, ready for anything, as a hero should. She may not be in the top 10, but she was number 15 on the hero charts. She turned a corner and was met by vibrant green eyes, as well as wild green hair. The figure was tall, almost lanky, with freckles dotting his cheeks and deep bags under his eyes. He wore a white dress shirt under a black vest, black slacks, and black dress shoes… All of which were slowly being drenched with his blood.
Izuku: Urav… ity…
He fell into her arms and they both fell to their knees. Her eyes begin to water as emotions of varying degrees fill her heart. Fear, sadness, empathy… and somewhere in there, a deep sense of caring for the bleeding man who fell into her arms. This man was Izuku Midoriya, a villain named Deku. He was an informant for the League of Villains, their best strategist, Quirk Analyst, and to Uraraka, the greatest villain among them. Not because she thought he was the most powerful. Despite being given a rather unique Quirk by All for One himself, he was dangerous even before that, because of his mind and the fact that he has managed to slip away from Pro-Heroes since he joined the League and since she was a first year at UA High.
Ochako: You… Shouldn't be here…
Izuku: Coughing I had nowhere else to go…
Despite her better judgment as a Pro-Hero, she helped the slippery villain to the den, where she started to bandage him and heal his wounds. They didn't speak, aside from a few apologies from Uravity after a couple of more painful stitches she had to give Izuku. For the oddest reason, the 2 of them have had an… interesting relationship since their first meeting. They had first seen each other during the USJ incident, where the League tried to kill All Might. They had first interacted at the training camp, where this so-called "Villain" saved Uraraka from being stabbed to death alongside Tsuyu Asui at the hands of one of his allies, Himiko Toga. They would meet on and off throughout her school years and well into her hero career, when the world would know his name in infamy. It was almost like a dance between them, rather than a game of cat and mouse like it is for her fellow heroes. Where they would attempt to catch him and he would almost crush them, she would talk with him and try to understand why he did as he did. In return, he spoke to her, listened to her, and did his best not to hurt her. As she bandaged his arm, she thought about the last time she saw him. It was on TV where she saw him facing off against who many would say would be his arch-nemesis. The Number 2 Hero. The Explosion Hero, Ground Zero, whose Quirk had grown to immense proportions through the years. Joining in the fight was the Number 1 hero, Mirio Togata, AKA Lemillion, whose Permeation Quirk seemed to skyrocket unusually during her time at UA.
Ochako: … All-Might's looking for you…
Izuku: I know…
Ochako: And Bakugou.
Izuku: I know.
His response to his childhood bully was filled with spite. After All-Might retired, he, Ground Zero and Lemillion have dedicated everything they had to tracking down and taking apart the league, down to the last person, which in this case, would be Izuku. Since he's the last member of the League that remains, a country-wide manhunt has been put into effect. He was practically Japan's public enemy number 1. Nearly every Pro-Hero available was trying to find him.
Ochako: Everyone is looking for you… Even the police and all the Pro-Heroes.
Izuku: Sighing … I know.
Uraraka finishes bandaging him.
Ochako: I should report you…
Izuku: Are you going to…?
She takes in a sharp breath. Would she? Shouldn't she? She was a hero after all and he was a villain. She had a duty to do what's right and send him to Tartarus with the rest of the villains they'd captured, such as Toga, Dabi, Mr. Compress and the rest. Yet, she knew she couldn't. Deep down, no matter how much she wanted to deny it… she had fallen in love with the villain in front of her. Despite his misdeeds to society, he has actually done good, here and there. He stopped the villain Muscular from murdering Kota Izumi, saved a girl named Eri from the madman known as Overhaul, leaked information about the League's more heinous actions to Nezu and EraserHead exclusively so that they can be stopped, and has even saved her life on more than 1 occasion.
Ochako: No…
Izuku: I should go… I don't want you to be dragged into my mess…
He gets up to leave, most likely out the window, when she grabs his wrist, starting to cry.
Ochako: I was so scared… you're here now, but… when I saw Bakugou use his Howitzer on you, I thought- I thought I lost you. In that moment, I couldn't bear the thought of living in a world without you… I know this is wrong, you're a villain and I'm a hero- I'm supposed to stop you, turn you in, but I can't help but just want to stay by your side just for a bit longer-
The next thing she knew, she was ensnared in a strong hug, feeling a warm, wet sensation on her shoulder, and sniffling by her ear.
Izuku: Tonight… Just for tonight… Can we forget what we are?
Those words made the damn burst as she sobbed into his shoulder, as he does the same into hers. In that moment, that entire night, they weren't a hero and a villain. They weren't good against evil. They weren't Deku and Uravity. They were just 2 people who cared deeply for each other… so much, that this care and love would develop into something incredible.
13 Years and 1 day later…
A young boy, officially 13 years old, woke up in his bed. He had brown, wild hair and vibrant green eyes, and freckles in a diamond formation on his cheeks. The padding on his fingers were almost overly pronounced, but didn't bother him as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes. The day before, he had just celebrated his 13th birthday. He smiles as he looks around his room, with hero posters on his walls, action figures littering a desk near his bed, and a computer with stickers of sweets on it. A voice from outside his room calls for him.
?: Tsukaeru? Are you up? Your breakfast may find itself being eaten!
Tsukaeru: I'm up, mom! Don't eat my breakfast!
He rushes to get dressed in his school uniform as he makes his way to the kitchenette of his and his mom's apartment. The woman he called mom was none other than a more grown up Ochako Uraraka. She has kept her heroic, but feminine figure, as well as her standing in the lower teens of the Hero Charts, over the years. In the kitchen, she threatens to eat her son's waffles, slowly guiding a fork to her mouth.
Tsukaeru: No! I'm here!
He practically dives across the table, forcing his mother to quickly grab and float him before he crashes. This forces her to drop the fork, leaving Tsukaeru to grab it and chow down in mid-air.
Ochako: I can see you're here!
She releases him at his chair at the table as she takes a seat across from him.
Ochako: So, how did you enjoy your special day?
Tsukaeru: It was awesome! Especially the gauntlet gloves that Ground Zero gave me!
He pulls out a pair of winter cloves that had grenade shaped pockets on them.
Ochako: I'm glad you liked HIS gift.
This causes his son to go into a mild panic.
Tsukaeru: I-I-I didn't mean it like that, Mom! Your gift is amazing too!
She had gotten him a signed poster from All-Might. It's been a few years since his age and injuries finally caught up with him, leaving the official title of the Symbol of Peace to Lemillion, tied as the Number 1 Hero with Ground Zero.
Ochako: You bet your chubby cheeks it's amazing!
They laugh as she pinches his cheeks. As soon as they finished breakfast, Tsukaeru put on his shoes at a seedy pace as Ochako got dressed in her super suit.
Tsukaeru: So, any new cases you're working on, mom?
Ochako: Not that you SHOULD know, but there has been an unusual string of attacks lately in my sector… which reminds me to tell you not to come home alone today. After school, come home with Katai.
Tsukaeru: Yes, mom… Mom?
Ochako: Yes, Kaeru?
Tsukaeru: When will my Quirk come in?
Ochako frowns, not having a good answer for him. When he was younger, the doctor said that the likelihood of him having a Quirk was incredibly high, though he hasn't shown any signs of having any.
Ochako: I'm sure it'll come soon… you just have to be patient and have hope…
He frowns a little, but nods in understanding. As they left, they were joined by Katai Kirishima. She had pink skin and hair like her mother, along with a pair of yellow horns. She had a more athletic build like her father, however and had his eyes and pointed teeth.
Katai: Wassup, Birthday Boiiii!
Tsukaeru: My birthday was yesterday, Kirishima.
Katai: I know, but I wanted to remind you that you have now entered the realm of angst and acne like the rest of us!
She snickers mischievously, which reminded Ochako of the girl's mother and her friend, Mina Ashido-Kirishima. Only a few of her friends from class had gotten together, while others focused on hero work. Kaminari and Jiro had a rock star of a son, Orjiro and Hagakure had a thankfully visible son as well, and finally, Todoroki and Yaoyarozu had created a pair of, frankly, supermodel twins. They all attended a middle school closer to UA, which made the hero parents more relieved. The parents, along with the rest of their class, had grown into great heroes, with a 1 exception. The moment his children were born, Shoto Todoroki stepped down from being a hero to care for his children in a way his father never did, practically smothering them with as much affection as he was able to muster. It rocked the hero community and enraged their most competitive ex-classmate, but they were happy that he had found joy in being a stay-at-home dad, being a more local hero to the neighborhood. If there was any major trouble however, he would gladly leap into action. The class stayed relatively tight-knit as a group, with Tsuyu Asui and Tenya Iida still being Ochako's closest companions. There is 1 thing that they had all taken a solemn vow never to talk about, and that was the subject of Tsukaeru's father, the now incarcerated villain, Deku… but the explanations for that are for later. For now, Ochako watches the 2 young teens banter as she drives them to school as she makes her way to her hero agency.
Ochako: Remember, on the way home, stick together.
Katai: You got it, Ms. Uravity!
Ochako: Katai, I told you, you can just call me Ochako.
Katai: But calling you by your hero name makes you sound WAY more Schway!
Instead of calling everyone or everything manly, like her father, she chose to call anyone or anything she finds cool, Schway. No one knows what it means, but they at least know it's something good, unless she describes something as "Un-Schway".
Katai: Later!
Tsukaeru: Bye mom, Love you.
Ochako: Love you, too, honey.
She kisses him on the cheek, making him blush from embarrassment as he joins the rest of his group of friends, which consist of Hackira Jiro, who had his mother's earphone jacks and purple/black hair, but with the ends in a zig-zag blonde like his father, Meinai Ojiro, who was blonde with a sort of sparkling in it, who was as tall as his father was at that age, and 6 invisible tails curled around him, and Hi and Kori Todoroki-Yaoyarozu, who had short, red hair with brunette specks, and long, white hair with similar specks. The respective brother and sister could be supermodels thanks to their broad and… well-developed parentage.
Hackira: "I wuv you, mom" Mwa-Mwa-Mwa~
Tsukaeru: Shut up, Jiro.
Hi: Good morning, Uraraka, Kirishima.
Kori: And once more, congratulations on your coming of age.
Meinai: You guys could just say happy birthday again…
Tsukaeru: It's fine. They can say whatever they want, especially if it'll get me a quirk faster.
Hackira: Still nothing? No tingling? Nothing suddenly sprouting or floating or combusting?
Tsukaeru: No…
Hi: Maybe if we can find out who your father is-
Tsukaeru: I've tried that already… All I know is that mom cared about him a lot and that he had to go somewhere…
Meinai: There's gotta be something more.
Kori: Ok, what if-
They all groan. Of the twins, Kori had adopted her father's propensity for outrageous ideas and theories.
Kori: Hear me out! What if… you're the secret love child of Mind Wipe?
Hackira: The brainwashing underground hero? I don't see it.
Kori: Both of them have unnaturally wild hair!
Tsukaeru: THAT'S what you're basing it on!?
Kori: You already shot down my other theories! Like Ingenium and Ground Zero and Cellophane and Grape Juice-
Hackira: Grape Juice? Really?
Kori: There's a chance!
Tsukaeru: No to all of those. Ingenium would have passed down his Quirk to me because his mutation is a dominant trait, the same as Grape Juice. If I had any relation to Cellophane, the same could be said for his tape arms. As for Ground Zero, my mother TOLLERATES him, but they only share a competitive spirit and nothing more. As for Mind Wipe, it's also not possible since he and my mom rarely, if ever interact.
Hi: You've given this a lot of thought.
Tsukaeru: I have journals of research on who my father could be, but I've compared every male hero mom's been in contact with over the past 13 years and have come up with nothing!
Kori: … What if he's a villain?
Meinai: NOW that's just crazy talk!
Katai: What villain would be able to talk Ms. Uravity into-
Tsukaeru: OKAY! Let's NOT talk about my mom's… life like that please!?
He was blushing, waving his arms at them before taking a breath and calming down, thinking intensely on who his father could be, not realizing that he would soon get all the answers he needed… for a price.
